Prove your faith!
"Was not Abraham our father, justified by works?etc..You see, faith was active along with works, faith was COMPLETED by WORKS!" James 2-20"For the body apart from the spirit is dead..so faith apart from works IS DEAD!"
PRAY UNCEASINGLY.
TRUST IN JESUS.
Show Brotherly Love Hebrews 13
"But, be doers of the word and not just hearers ONLY. DECEIVING YOURSELVES!...BE NO HEARER that forgets but a DOER that ACTS. He shall be BLESSED in his DOING! James 1

If a person is truly saved and is really child of God, they will have a desire to be faithful to God. It is a want to thing. God doesn't make us stay faithful to him. He can't. No more than a person can make their spouse stay faithful in the marriage. God has feelings, he gets hurt, sad if one of his sheep strays away and leaves. But unlike alot of humans, God takes the wonderer back. It is a good thing God doesn't tell the backsliders If you leave don't bother coming back. If he did we'd all mis heaven.

You gotta live inside out man.

Reveal the inner man of the heart. If we are his children this is who we are, for this is his nature to reveal the truth about himself to us.

God wants all that we are, have been, and will be to bow to his majesty in Christ and lift him up as Lord.
This involves keeping your heart right and guarding to make sure you have only one point of influence.
If thine eye be single...

Pray with all yu got! Eat lots of scripture, it's true soul food, Make sure you bring your sins out of the dark, and into the light, to put Jesus blood washing on it so that the Devil will not have a foot hold into, or be able to opress you with the skelatons in the closet of the past, I personaly beleive in the power of fasting and prayer. And scripture memorization is a great thing too.

The Scripture is written by the inspiration of God. Be ye not listeners of the word but be ye doers of the word also.

Read your Bible from beginning to front, by reading a chapter daily. Pray continually, even as you go to work, where-ever you are. 'Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and the rest will be added unto you' Grow a relationship wit Jesus Christ. He is a person and He is alive.

Zec. 7:9,10 "Execute true judgment, and show mercy and compassion every man to his brother and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart." Deu. 10:12 "What do the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the lord thy God, to walk in His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all they soul." Acquaint yourself with Him & live.

Read the Bible and Pray. Walk with Jesus don't make Jesus walk with you. Memorize some Bible verses.

The way I would look at it is what basic things do I need to do on a daily basis(physical realm) to keep me healthy? brush my teeth, wash my hands, drink lots of water, avoid junk etc.Now what basic things must I do to ensure faithfulness(commitment)to God? Read His word(let Him talk to you), pray(talk to Him) and live His word.Imagine going days without brushing your teeth? Now imagine going days without knowing what God is saying to you or talking to Him?

I believe, that the more you need God, the more faithful you are going to be.

In Ephesians 6:10-18, I see two aspects of the Christian's life. First there is the defensive - Shield of faith, helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness; I also see that the Christian walk should be offensive also (not negative), by using the sword of the spirit, with our feet ready to preach the gospel of peace. What do you think?

I'm very happy with your wonderful contributions.

God bless you all. Please give us more!

I agree with Jimbo about staying faithful in our daily walk. Reading the Word and praying daily is so needed.

Staying faithful to God is much easier if we focus on prayer, fasting and reading the Word.

Hebrews 11:6
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
