Gestational Surrogate Biblical
The fact that you're here asking us, tells me you have a check about it. Why would you want to?
There are so many orphans that need a home.
Maybe God would like these people to adopt and they're forcing the issue.
I think it's too close to messing with God's business. It is your body, but do you really know how you would feel about 'their' child? I couldn't do it.

Alan, this is from a child birth website:
Traditional surrogacy is done via artificial insemination, with the surrogate using her egg and another man's sperm. Gestational surrogacy is done via In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), where fertilized eggs from another woman are implanted into the surrogate's uterus.

Is there a difference between surrogacy and gestational surrogacy. I have not heard this term before. Are you being asked to carry your own child fertilized by this man or are you being asked to carry a child fertilized from the egg and sperm of your friends? I'm not sure that either would fall into God's plan but on a personal level there would be a huge emotional difference if the child were from your own egg.

This is a very complicated situation. You are the only one who can answer this question. There is no scripture in the Bible which addresses this. Personally, I would not want to carry a baby that I knew I would be giving up as soon as it were born.

While it is a kind gesture it is definatley not wise. The genetics involved means you receive a mans sperm in your body (temple) regardless of whether you use your egg or hers, you also have to abort some of the eggs if too many survive. To ask you is both selfish and ungodly. The physiological effects may be more to handle than you actually think I bet your not doing this for free, what Gods people are doing now is probably what made Daniel faint when he was shown the things to come!

What is a gestational surrogate?

Abraham and Sarah had a surrogate arrangement with Hagar, and look at all the trouble it caused and is STILL causing.

I don't know if there is anything in the bible about this or not. I haven't seen anything that speaks about this though. If I was going to go through with getting pregnant, going through labor, that child would be mine. I couldn't imagine doing this for anyone.

If your friend and her husband have asked you to do this for them and you are ok with it then go ahead. There is no Scripture that I am aware of that show it is a sin.
