Did The Demons Come Out

In Matthew 7:22 & 23 How did these people cast out devils, etc. if they didn't know Jesus? If they weren't doing it in Jesus name, then how come they were "CASTING OUT" demons? Shouldn't that have NOT worked for them? Did the demons come out?

Actually it says they were doing it in Jesus's name, and they knew the power of the heavenly realm(or spirit realm), there are actually voodoo or like witch doctor type people who understand the spirit realm and they "tap" into it and do crazy things that seem impossible in the natural realm, but they are obviously doing it w/ satans help...

For Jesus always knew them to be hypocrites. [See, God knows]. Those that go no further in Christ's service than a bare profession, He does not ACCEPT, nor will He own them in the great day. How, How, man may go to Hell by the gates of heaven.

**1.God gave me revelation about this scripture. In order to cast a Demon out your name has to be written in the Book of life Luke 10:20. But just as a name is written it could also be removed or blotted out without any record or evidence of existance! Satan knows about the book of life he can read. Right now he still has access to go to heaven back to earth to accuse! Job1:6. All who don't repent can be used and refused.

"Modern Man professes not to believe in demons, but they exist just the same." They are intelligent. Once the pit is opened, the world of men, will be invaded by a virus far more dreadful than the bubonic plague, which was an absolute nightmare, in 1666. A virus all the more deadly because it is able to think and because it directs its attack against the soul rather than the body. "Glad I am Saved." WOW!.

Satan imitates God.>>>1.False Trinity. 2.His Synagogues. 3.He has his doctrines. 4.He has his mysteries. 5.He has his thrones. 6.He has his kingdom. 7.He has his worshipers. 8.He has his angels. 9.He has his ministers. 10.He has his miracles. 11.He has his sacrifices. 12.He has his fellowship. 13.He has his armies.

TS went on a vacation, but the alternate persona - religious fanantic - has made a comeback. There are 'many', but the replies are not Christ-like.
The devouring of the sheep is a questionable character.

---Cynthia_1, Here is a solution; Give the men in
your house honey that they be sweet to you?

"what if you dont own a horse???
---mark on 4/3/07"

Well mark, maybe you can take yourself to
the river and see if you can make yourself drink?
---Nana on 4/5/07

I can tell you one way God drove the Devil out of my mind when he was pounding it, pressure. I saw Jesus standing beside my bed a little distance and I saw His hand pointing toward mine head and it looked like sparks shooting out. The Devil left. Thank you Jesus. Come on, couldn't I do better than that? I layed there amazed. I still am. I barely had the strength to ask God for help. I asked and I got help. Thank God the Devil doesn't attack me like that too often. Good night,ALL; I love you, JESUS.

what if you dont own a horse???

Nana, Here is the solution; Give your horse salt first.

then watch Him drink.

john,
Quite agree with you in "...totally owned by the devil himself anyways and there is little, if any improvement." Of course those
human beings called "monikers" these days would disagree by
saying something like "If it was truly the Sovereign Power of
God that got them out, it is not possible for those spirits to return"
In my country there was this saying: "You can take the horse to the
river, but you can't make it drink".

"He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him." They werent used to any one driving out demons with simply their words. This is the way Jesus delivered people from demons. Another scripture says,

When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Jesus, and He drove out the spirits with a Word and Healed ALL the Sick. (Matt. 8:16)

Jesus expelled demons with simply His Word. He used nothing else.

"But this kind is not cast out but by prayer and fasting."

Many Christians depend on various methods of casting out demons. The only method you need is prayer, fasting, and God's Word to drive out demons.

To be successful at driving out demons, forget all of your religious paraphernalia, and all the unnecessary accessories.
---Gabrielle on 3/28/07

Casting out demons, with prayer and fasting.
If it is done by the Power of the Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus Christ, and by the Blood of Jesus, all the efforts by the flesh will not be necessary.

I said that previously in the blog, john.

A Christian cannot have a demon or demons, However, A demon, or demons can have a Christian. It is not called posession in such a case, but opression. Demons are not permitted to cross the bloodline of Christs spirit indwelling a Christian, however, I have heard of 24 of them being expelled from oppressing spirits attaching themselves to a very well known evangelist, they came out writhing and foaming he was even throwing things and hurting people, all the while he was saying......PART ONE
---Cynthia_1 on 3/28/07

This cannot be happening to me I am a Holy Spirit filled christian, I even have a healing ministry, and also a deliverance ministry, WHATS UP WITH THAT GOD? And then he heard from the Holy Spirit saying you were being opressed by these evil spirits, and you needed to be delivered.

Gabrielle. The demons didn't come out of the boy. Jesus had to do it. The disciples couldn't because that kind only came out by prayer and fasting. So, demons don't always come out like you say. From experience I can tell you that I have cast demons out of Christians and unbelievers many times but have found it of little use to cast them out of an unbeliever because they are totally owned by the devil himself anyways and there is little, if any improvement.
---john on 3/27/07

No where in the Bible will you find a person with the Holy Spirit of God possessed or troubled by demons. People with the Holy Spirit encountered demons, but the demons were always overcome and driven away, not by the people themselves, since no human alone has that power, but by the Holy Spirit of God. Demons are powerless against the Holy Spirit - like water displacing the air out of an "empty" glass, the Holy Spirit will always displace an evil spirit from someone who is troubled by a demon.

"..in their Synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; cried out, "What have You to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God." Jesus rebuked him, "Be silent, and come out of him!" The unclean spirit, convulsing, crying with a loud voice, came out. They were amazed, they questioned among themselves, "What is this? A new teaching! With authority He commands even the unclean spirits, they obey Him." Mark 1:21-27

"The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your Name!" And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven." (Luke 10:17-20)

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you" (James 4:7)

Casting out demons, with prayer and fasting.
If it is done by the Power of the Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus Christ, and by the Blood of Jesus, all the efforts by the flesh will not be necessary.

Jesus said, "Come Out", "It is Written".

The unsaved succeeding in casting out demons? Not possible.

(Matthew 24-26)
24But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub,[d] the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons." 25Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
---Matthew on 3/27/07

They did cast out demons in Jesus name. If you will read in vs 21 it say not everyone that says Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. Many people have the gifts from God, but that doesn't mean that is a one way ticket to heaven. In the bible there were these men who tried to cast out demons, the demons said, Paul I know, Jesus I know, but who are you? they done it in the name of Lord Jesus. The demons overtook them, they ran off scard and naked. Acts 19:13-16.
---Rebecca_D on 3/27/07

Jesus also said that Satan would not work against Satan or else his kingdom would be divided. Those people who were not Christians were casting out demons in Jesus' name which shows us that it is his power and through his name that these miracles are done. No credit to man. Just think, if a unbeliever can do it how about us?

It is a frightening and most terrible thing for a non-christian to try to cast out demons, as they could come out of the other person and choke him to death. They are extremely powerful, However Gods power is obviously much greater. A person who is a Consecrated Christian, not a Carnal Christian, has the authority to cast out demons, however, they are stubborn, but with the power of the NAME OF JESUS, and SCRIPTURES GIVEN, they come out but usualy not without a physical fight, PART 1
---Cynthia_1 on 3/27/07

Many Priests, and Pastors, are extremely fearful of deliverance. It is usualy a strong experienced type, they call, when they are in need of their peoples of their congregations or whatever. The BLOOD OF CHRIST MUST FIRST BE APPLIED TO ALL PEOPLE IN THE ROOM FOR PROTECTION, AND GENERALY STRONG MEN SHOULD BE PRESENT. Though I have known the guys who go it alone, with no one else around, they were the STRONGEST WARRIORS OF THE FAITH. PART 2
---Cynthia_1 on 3/27/07

The demons did come out because these people were doing it in Jesus name. And they understood the power that is in the name of Jesus. Yet they had not received the Lord Jesus Christ because they had not asked the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness. Remember "whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved". Therefore we can see these people had never called on the name of the Lord.

Matthew 7:15: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
A false prophet, is it a prophet? The clothes don't make a man.
So, it is not what it looks like but what it is!

Keep in mind the passage is saying that the people will say.. "but we cast out demons in your name" This not to say that they really were. There are people today that claim they are casting out demons when they truly aren't. This is a fact. Demons are deceitful and can "pretend" to leave someone and even worse can jump in someone who isn't possessed and make a scene(convulsions, etc.) pretending they are leaving someone when they were never in them.
---Matthew on 3/26/07

Jesus was only letting us know that not everyone that says Lord, Lord would belong to Him. For form of godliness without the power you do not rest on these God must own you. We must do the will of the Father. His will is this--That we believe in Christ, that we repent of sin, that we live a Holy life, that we love one another.Saying and doing are two things.

Romans 11:29 says the Gifts & callings of God are irrevocable. So I can either use or abuse the gifts of God. I can do what I want or think is right not what He wants me to do. Even Jesus did not do anything, until He saw & heard the Father( Jn 5:19-20)Mt 7:24 says, Hear Him & do. Brian 6933

Have you not watch television evangelists doing just what is described in Matthew 7:22-23? What about the "faith healers" defrauding the faithful of donations made after witnesses healings or exorcisms that when evaluated by skeptics were proven to be either false or inconclusive. I have seen telemarketers hawking green prosperity handkercheifs and miracle spring water.

Miracles do occur even today; but not like this and are not disproven under the most vigorous investigation.

I believe that Jesus is talking about false disciples. True Discipiles do not break God's Law as a practice. Those disciples that are as Jesus says are not true disciples practice breaking God's law. God says he looks at the heart, not the outer man. Yes I believe that they were casting out demons for Jesus said so in the verses you are referring to. Jesus also said they were breaking the law. I beg to differ with you that they didn't know Jesus because again in those two verses Jesus said they did.
