The Spirit confirms in prayer, God shows up, it's a pattern of "coincidence" that I have come to rely on.

Have you ever heard of a coincidence you could rely on? Me either.

We are servants empowered with all authority to administer our
Lords household as if our Lord had taken a jouney.
Mark 13:34 "For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey,
who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every
man his work, and commanded the porter to watch."

Obedience is the mark of a good and faithful servant but, should
the servant expect blessings? Blessings for doing his duty as
commanded? No, no blessings for that. Blessings come when
the servant increase that which the Lord entrusted to him. The
Lord will not take for an excuse of the "work" not being done
any blaming of "fleshy" or of failing faith. What much faith is
needed to obey has already been dispensed.

Luke 17:1-10. Just Luke 17:10 "So likewise ye, when ye shall have
done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are
unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to
do." We best have something to show the Lord when he would
as if he returned. Shall we say then, "I have nothing to show; for
I work not, being I am of the elect!". Hehe, if we be the elect, we
best make our election sure and have a return ready for that day!

Nilly willy, do we expect blessings on the order of pompous
material excess? I could hear the voices, "But, but we had
assurance!" "We assumed we were to have riches and free reign
and be little sovereigns over our brother's affairs...". We may
get those and mainly as an illusion for the Lord said in Mark 10
that we will get; even a "hundredfold", but with persecution.

Careful, careful; be not quick to call "Blessings" the fruit of
the Mammon of Unrighteousness. Really, where would we be
if it were not for God's mercy! Ahh, perhaps trying to hop
through the eye of a needle? Good luck for it can be done, by
our Lord's own words.

The Nana.

(Ephesians 5:6),

CN has an Obedience quiz link on this page.Godly obedience is of the Holy Spirit,Christ our example displayed this when He came, No matter what man speaks, rely SOLELY on God's Word, God said,Faith alone cant save,God [Himself] came in such a humble & obedient way to earth,Yet some choose to live in NeverNeverland ,promote flesh, full of arrogance/hypocrisy ,Bound by iniquity & in the gall of bitterness, God is disgusted. (Luke 11:28)(2 Thess.1:8-9) (1 John 5:1-3). God Bless!

Catherine, how true no one can rely on luck but we sure can rely on God's blessings which he pours out moment by moment every day; aren't we just so blessed?
---Mishon on 4/3/07

Let me first address this question. Are you ready? There's no such thing in this world as Luck. Speaking of Blessings-- Jesus said to me the other night, Now read this. He said, "I like you." That's a Blessing.

Let's make one thing crystal.

The only obedience is faith; without it no repentance can happen, no Holy Spirit can indwell, and no works prepared before the foundatuion of the world can follow.

Joh 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

When God told me He wanted me to teach a class at our church. I gave Him many reasons why I couldn't. But I was obedient. The Wed. before Easter we explained what giving your heart to Jesus meant & did a Q & A time to make sure the girls understood it. Then 11 out of 14 girls gave their hearts to the Lord that very night. (The other 3 had done so before, but 1 girl rededicated her life.)
---PJ on 3/30/07

Although the girls started out very shy & didn't want to pray out loud, by the end of that class every girl wanted to pray & they were truly excited about it. So I was doubly blessed because of my obedience. Being able to see all those girls give their lives to Christ & giving the world more prayer warriors. I personally don't think it's obedience when it's easy for me true obedience is when it's hard & or a sacrifice, but that's just my opinion.

Because luck derives from superstition and is partial according to delusions from the devil acting as a ray of hope, BUT All blessing are from the true and living God given to all accepted by all but not recognised by all. God knows how/what to give his children according to his riches in Glory and it is distributed to all regardless! God maketh his face to shine on the righteous and the wicked who else could make such a promise?

The two watch words in Gods omnipotent Character,Obedience & disobedience. This is clearly portrayed in Genesis 3:14-19& in Luke1;38'By woman the word was betrayed & by woman it is restored'It is well for us as inhabitants of this universe to heed HIS WORD.We are called to 'perfection' in all phases of our interaction with our God & with our neighbour.

One knows that the blessings for obedience are from God when one follows the Lord. If you are not following God, then who knows.

Because when I follow God He blesses not luck.
---Johnney on 3/30/07

Nothing that happens to is is just by chance or good luck. Everything that happens to us is worked out according to God's purpose for our lives. Do not look at things in turns of luck because this is placing trust in a force other than God. When someone is believing in good luck, faith is not being used. The Bible is clear on the fact that obedience to God's Word produces favor and blessings in all aspects of our life. When we are doers of the Word of God, it shows that we truly love God. Joy9988
