THE True meaning of faith is that God sent his only Son to die and shed his blood on Calvary Cross to purchase the freedom of all sinners that they will have eternal life and dwell in te house of the Lord forever

Alan, The mountain Jesus moved was casting out the demon from a man's son. Please Read- Matthew 17:14-21. Jesus says that mountains are deep rooted strongholds that are unmovable by the unbelieving, but by the believer all things are possible. With faith I have saved and changed many souls for the Kingdom, cured a professor of deadly Aids, handed a God-offered job to a jobless man, witnessed needed money appear where there was none, an evil policeman's bike miraculously disappeared, an antiChristian country whom abuses God's children pays for their just deserts, raised a dead infant to life, etc.

To Whosoever has an ear to hear?
First of all, 'Common sense' is of our carnal nature in this world & has nothing to do with faith but what does, is 'Spiritual Obedience' to the Word of God ~ For faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
The question asked should be: How do we come to 'Faith'?...This is found under the schoolmaster with-in scripture law.
So non-scripturual quotes does on one any good if they are without 'Spiritual Faith' already.
It takes faith in the guidance of the Holy Spirit to reveal the understanding of any definition of 'Spiritual Faith' put before us.

eloy, were you speaking of mountains of dirt and rock? are were you speaking metaphorically? like mountains, stumbling blocks? can you be more clear?

Dan, With faith I have moved mountains.

Has anyone moved a mountain? Just wanted to know how many mountains have been moved. And if no one has, does it mean no one has living faith? and so no salvation?

It is having belief or confidence in someone or something, and true faith can be used to move mountains. When God proves himself with evidences to you, then common sense tells you that he can be trusted.

Faith is an acceptance of grace. It means receiving God's offer.

Faith is not a mental ascent, a mental ascent of God's Word, is a means, to have faith, but, faith, is trusting, and believing, and having an assurance, in God, and his Word, it is an inward choice, of the will, or heart.

Faith is something you believe the things you cannot see.
The fulfillment of that faith will come timely in the future which you expect definitely will happen.

Every Believer in Christ is called to live by Faith(Rom1:17)and not by their sensory mechanisms(2Cor5:7)Its only by Faith in God & His Word that we can be Saved.(Eph2:8-9)as
Faith is a gift of God. Since God is a Spirit(Jn4:24)& His words are spirit(Jn6:63)
then we choose to Believe His Words and Act upon it and receive whatever we need. So now
we can say that "Faith is Acting on what we
Believe". Brian 6933

Faith is belief in action. This is why faith without works is dead.

A good question. Doing what God tells you to do, even if it doesn't make any sense inspite all odds. My friend, if common sense you listen to, you won't obey God. It takes true faith to obey God without question. Strict obedience===Faith.

True faith is knowing God. Knowing that what is impossible with man, is possible with God, for God can do All things and no thing is impossible with God. Living faith requires action on the persons part, for we must obey God's words in order to have his supernatural results. Many times Jesus said Do you believe that I can do this, and the person would say Yes, then Jesus answered, Be it done according to your faith, and so they received from God what their faith sought out and believed.

Faith is getting in your car and taking a long trip. If you didn't have faith that your car would get you there, you wouldn't go.
Faith is getting on an airplane, If you didn't have faith in the pilot, you would't get on the plane.
