We wouldn't pour ice cream mix into a freezer to make homemade icecream if we didn't intend to produce ice cream from it. In the same way God pours His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, in male and female for the same purpose, both to be anointed in the Spirit,to preach, teach, prophesy,or any other Spiritual Gift. God doesn't give one kind of HG to men and another to women. He gives the HG equally to all and expects to see equal fruit, and same kind ,produced from that same HG empowerment.

Let me make something extremely clear to you. I am 100 percent female, and there is nothing that I would have loved more than to sit back and let man take charge and leadership, the way God had intended it to happen, My uncle was a 4 star general, my own father was one of GODS Generals, in His Holy army, he is now in heaven. Against my own will, my father MADE ME major in MINISTERIAL, I studied for the ministry in the 70s when it was extremely unpopular for a woman to be a minister....part one

PART 2, I have dedicated hundreds if not in the thousands of hours, to learn and comprehend the things of God and I assure you, there is nothing about me that is in its infancy, and often I feel like I cast pearls to many, many swine. The words that I say now, you will never forget.....UNTIL YOUR DYING DAY....YOU WILL SAY...''Cynthia said it and, it has come to pass. This is a promise....Gods hand is UPON WOMAN IN THIS HOUR.......
---Cynthia_1 on 4/18/07

BY GODS HAND, God is raising up WOMAN in this hour the likes of which this world has never seen since the beginning of time, God is doing something extremely new in this time, YOU WILL SEE MEN SIT DOWN NOW, AND WOMAN WILL BE TAKING THE REIGNS of Gods Holiness, they will fly in the Winds of His Spirit that will make your eyes pop out...THIS IS A PROMISE. from me

You do not go to college to decipher THE WORD OF GOD. THE WORD OF GOD IS JUST THAT. it is not the word of men.
1 Corinthians 2:13
Which things also WE SPEAK, NOT in the words which MAN'S wisdom teacheth, but which the HOLY GHOST TEACHETH; comparing SPIRITUAL THINGS with SPIRITUAL.
The Holy Ghost teaches us christians not man.

Steven, I am a very mature Christian, and I know infinitely more than many Christians, and even still I am always learning, and do not know everything, I do not have the sin of pride, such as yourself though, I forgive you, God bless you.

Cynthia_1: I don't feal threatened by any man, women or child. For man will destroy this body, but I do fear God who is able to destroy the body and spirit. Your post shows that you are not thinking like an mature Christian, but a weak Christians whose knowledge of the Bible is still in its infancy.
---Steveng on 4/11/07

I feel sorry for you guys who feel threatened by the many facets of gifts that God had personaly given to woman, that goes to show me why an atomic bomb woman should never marry a cap gun male. Men if you will open your eyes, you will see that GOD has divinely blessed the woman who were sexually abused by the hands of Pervert men. They have been raised to the pinnacle of success on the world scene today.

If we "consider the queen bee"; we must also consider
the male bee "drone", and I do not know which is worse!
Surely there be better similes to human conjugal affinity...
My take is that if Paul would have preached any other
Gospel in his day, he would have been asking women and
slaves to commit suicide. Do you get the sense that for me,
these are our days? Right you are!

Just as Deborah acted as a judge in the old testament, surely God has shown his approval of women in leadership. To say that man has dominion or is the head of the family etc. is not to imply that women can not or should not lead. Neither does a woman in leadership negate or disqualify the headship position of the male.

Bob: The blog is nothing more than writing opinions to each other (or to the group). There are many misinterpretations using this form of communication. There is no eye contact, no real showing of feelings, no body language, no smiles, no personal encouragement. Consider the vine and the grapes.

Bob and Helen: The Bible shows examples of women as both preachers and prophets, but they were not leaders of men.

In the days of YORE women girls were trained to work & lived in the temple,Mary was one of such women she never pushed herself forward but conducted her duties with a silent mouth Obedience & humility she always pointed the way to Jesus which she still does.Woman is the queen of the home;(consider the queen bee) hence the saying the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world in HUMILITY its an honour but not a slur as some point out.

I am Woman, and two parts Male

Jesus and the person of the Holy Spirit.

Am I suppose to pretend that I am powerless, when I am the very embodyment and vessel of God? God is NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS, though you are, yet you seem to be as a Saducee or Pharisee mentality.

On a previous blog, some consider the blogs an internet community only. Some consider the blogs, the Church, as they do not attend another church. There are some who take the blogs seriously as their platform for witnessing. There are some who request prayers from the "internet community".
How do you view the blogs? Is it the Church for you or cyberspace.
Then bring "women" back into the discussion, if you consider this your church, should women remain silent?
---Bob on 4/9/07

I say this in love, if it wasn't for the women in the church, we wouldn't have a church. God gave women a compassion toward others, it is stronger than a man's compassion. When God called my husband to preach, God called me as well. My husand and I are one in Christ. I don't overstep my bounds with my husband. We encourage one another. When my faith is weak, his is strong and vice versa. We work hand-n-hand for the goodness of the Lord. Where there is a good man, there is a good women behind him.
---Rebecca_D on 4/9/07

In church, if God bids me to go and pray for a woman, I get the anointing oil and I go. I don't ask my husband if it is okay. If God bids me to pray for a man, I ask my husband to come with me, and I have him lay hands on this man and I lay hands on my husband. I've seen jealousy show it's ugly face in people. If God can use a sinner to do his work, then he can use a woman to do his work. When my husband is in the valley, I interceed prayer on his behalf. I take my authority on the situation.

I would strongly encourage you to Try the spirit For Their Are Many, against the fine tuning of the word. I remember women at times say God told them this/that neither root nor branch is left to tell the tale only those of us that were there at their PREACH-ing. BE WARNED! Adultery,Self,Lying and Hatred were later manifested in their testimonies and they no long serve in the same church as their revelations.

Women: Afraid to allow men to lead? Women once had the power of controling the world, but lost it because of feminism. The old adage is true today than it was when first written: "the hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world." Since women have placed their children into childcare services so they could rule a company or country, the training of the children are now in the hands of Satan. Look at the trend of the children for the past fify years since women left home - delinquency.
---Steveng on 4/8/07

"The men won't do anything so we women have to". We hear this line of reasoning many times. In reality, the more accurate statement would be "The men won't do it when we want or the way we want it done, so we have to take over." Nancy Pelosi's actions last week were a fine example.

We have had to do it all!!!! it just fell in our laps most of the times when the men didn't ever step up to the plate. Woman have a capacity for leadership and tenderness which we have had to maintain when we were alone, and had no body else, when no one was there for us we would drop to our death or open wings and fly. We learned to lead cause there was no man who would. Many woman have been extremely let down by men and can not trust them anymore. This is my own feeling.

Look into those cultures. When women are silenced, you will see extrordinary brutality and poverty. Where women are denied an education and civil rights, you will see little progress.

Aside from the fact that the passage is NOT talking about secular governmnet, should MEN usurp authority over men? Is such permitted by this verse?

Rev Herb. If you are going to take 1Tim.2:12 literally under all circumstances then the next time your mother tries to tell you something just quote her this verse and tell her to be quiet because you are a man and she has no Biblical right to teach you anything. Rachel: A little defensive aren't you? I do not doubt that men and women are equal heirs according to the promise, work as helpers, or work as prophets (who are messengers, not leaders). But as for leaders, the Bible is explicit. As for your other posts, your thoughts are of a worldly view.

Darlene: Be careful which reference books you use. Scripture says that the Bible is not of one man's interpretation. Dr. James Strong brought together a couple of dozen colleagues to write the Strong's Concordance. Everything written in his reference book had to meet Strongs approval. Anything that didn't seem right to him were expluded or rewritten. As it is written, the Bible is the only reference book you'll ever need. It does take some study on your part and, of course, the help of the Holy Spirit.

"Leadership" is not in the Bible.
The word leadership did not appear in any dictionaries until the early 1900's.
It was defined as the office and prestige of a leader, not clearly defined. Some say leadership is influence.
Christian leadership has been defined as the exercise of one's spiritual gifts (by the call of God) to serve people in achieving the goals God has given them toward the end of glorifying Christ.

Rachel: It's true that women plays an important part in Christianity, but the Bible explicitly says that women shall never lead or have authority over man. It's written there in black and white all throughout the Bible that even a child can understand it. The question then is: Why didn't Jesus choose a few women as apostles when he knew that in the end times that feminism would arise and millions of women, like yourself, would question God's word?

This is a very exhausting subject of which Paul has given his guidance on the leadership of Gods church. God is still in control There is no reason for a woman to preach to the Household of faith unless the men in the church have gone AWOL. As a woman I wouldn't be so full of myself to preach contrary to Pauls Advice. Of course God can choose a woman but in times past it was so beyond what he ordered he asked a mule instead to get his massage across. Does that answer your Question!
---Carla5754 on 4/5/07

NO. Men should lead and the woman behind him. Men should more authority than the woman. Women can become preachers if God calls them. But they shouldn't rule over man.

I believe that leading and taking authority away from the man are two different things. It is not right for women to take authority away from man but to lead, as in give direction, is OK.
