Witnessing Upsets His Wife

Wife's friend says my witnessing upsets her and makes her uncomfortable. I know this is very little to go on, but I ask you why you think she might be uncomfortable with my witness.

We can plant or water, but only God can produce the miracle of growth. I used to know a dear man who seemed to have the "gift" of "kicking butt for Jesus"! I also knew a woman like that; they were godly but I avoided them. My friend Bill who is in Heaven was such a type of man that when you talked with him, you felt like you were in the presence of Jesus. :) You felt LOVE, not condemnation. :) I miss him and I know his wife must miss him a million times more.

Mary's ramblings part 2 lol: I want to be more godly in my own life. I do want to witness more and better. But I want to draw people to Jesus, not scare them away. My friend Bill drew people to God left and right. :) I hope to someday be a lot more like him--and Him. :)

God's word is living, it is powerful and it cuts back and forth. Your wife's friend has to be unsaved. The word is cutting her like a two edged sword. It is something she needs to hear but does not want to be reminded of her sins. When the Word(light) enters a room, sin(darkness) has to go.The devil gets angry, upset. We are to be lights wherever we go.God bless you brother for what you do.

Gods Word never returns back void but acomplishes that which it has purposed. That woman may die in a car crash tomorrow.
YOU HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING MIMA, You won't find me criticizing you one iota.

Well, I have got to tell or ask you. What good does it do to tell an unbeliever they are sinning. Do you really think they care? I'll answer that.>>> NO.

Amen, Madison! :) Very well put, I think; God bless :)

I have seen loving Christians who witness lovingly. Then, I have seen obnoxious, rude Christians. One time, some Christian ladies were at my mom's house, and mom was smoking, and these ladies sat there and rudely told my mom she was sinning because she smoked. They came to her house to witness to her, and rudely judged her. Arrogance does not win anyone to the Lord.

The word of God isn't always pleasent. It is bitter to taste but, sweet as honey in the belly. Rev 10:9-10. We all have had the word of God step on our toes a time or two. We either step up and shape up or step down and shape out. God chastise the ones he loves. Maybe Mima, God was using you to chastise your wife's friend.

The Spirit of God within you, will often bring the frowns of men.

Keep up the great work Mima!

When you make the demons angry, you make God Proud.

Great will be your reward in Heaven

For, He who winneth souls is WISE.

Does she not like talking about Jesus and all He has done for her. I am thinking she may not be saved.

Elder: Your point about love is so important. The Greatest Commandments are to love God and to love our neighbor. Thank you for reminding us of that.
---madison1101 on 4/25/07

Mima - Keep preaching brother. As long as there are people coming against you then you are doing something right. They ridiculed Jesus, so you can count on being nailed to a wall. Souls are the only important thing in this life.

She is very possibly feeling uncomfortable because she is being convicted by the Holy Spirit. Praise be to God, she will soon get saved.
---Helen_5378 on 4/25/07

Most of the time I find you very uncomfortable to say the least.

The Bible declares in Acts 1:8, that only the Holy Spirit helps us to be Witnesses,
first in our Jerusalem(our home)then where-ever He wants us to. So we need to be more Holy Spirit conscious as to when to witness.

Some people have heard all of the Gospel they need to be Saved. Now they just need to be LOVED.
Seems sometimes that everyone wants to "Preach" but no one wants to go to the trouble to really Love someone.
We must learn to Love them where they are and not where we want them to be.

The most effective evangelists will make many people feel uncomfortable. After all that is the purpose of evangelism.
And you must know this.
By telling uis this are you just trying to reaasure yourself?

If the questions you post on these blogs (where you clearly intend to stir up argument) are anything like the way you witness to your wife's friend, no wonder she's uncomfortable.

Considering your behavior here, you're more likely to be simply using the Name of Jesus as an excuse to make yourself obnoxious.

Mima, your ego is enormous.
But if it's working for you, go for it.
If you see people running inside their doors when you walk out to get the newspaper, or when you roll down your car window to talk, they burn rubber, maybe you can tone it down.
---AcidReflux on 4/24/07

Who cares? You are an evangelist. You have one real motive in life and that is to give the Word to people. Consider it joy when people say bad things about you. Your big mouth and obnoxious ways have led many hundreds to the Lord. That's a lot better than keeping your mouth shut and no one gets saved. Go man, go.

Because she isn't a Christian. Of course if one is a sinner the word is going to make them uncomfortable. Praise God that it is. That means the Holy Ghost is working on her and she is upset and uncomfortable. I say let the Holy Ghost pour on his spirit and let her be miserable, can't sleep, until she gets saved. Keep witnessing to her and everyone else.

If she is an unbeliever, she may think you are being pushy and obnoxious about your faith. Are you being pushy and obnoxious? I find some of your blogs to be that way, and I am a believer.
