LOL that is a good question! I dont think shouting and babbling gibberish is the work of the Holy Spirit. God is not the author of confusion. I think John chapter 14 says A LOT about the Spirit's role in our lives. Too much to list. Also I think we can never comprehend the full work of the more than we can fully understand the Father or is the mystery of righteousness.

In John 15:26 the Holy Spirit is called the Comforter and here's what the verse says." But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me" meaning that the Holy Spirit or Comforter will give us a better understanding about Jesus.

Holy Spirit lives permanently in every Christian.Invites unbelievers to accepts Christ. Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead.Gives us power to witness to others. Helps us to worship God, pray, leadership in ministry, provides strength in weakness, reveals truth to the Christian's mind, helps us to live a holy life. The list goes on. Can't live without Him. He is a real person with real feelings.

The question is redundant to those who believe in the "trinity"!

The job of the Person of the Holy Spirit. First He is more of a Person than You or I. And He is more alive than You or I. His jobs are many. Two that God just gave me are>>> To convict of Sin, and to comfort His people when they are afflicted. Have a great evening, everyone+++

Yes, if God were to turn a blind eye to Sin, in other words, looked away from Sin, He would not be God. If He ignored Sin, perhaps, a better way of putting it, "thank you Jesus." Then He would not be God at all.

To argue that hell is impossible - that a loving merciful God could not send a helpless human being there forever and ever, is an unbalanced view of God.

To understand hell, meditate on the Word of God - the holiness and severity of Gods wrath against sin.(1 Cor. 5:11). God pronounces eternal damnation on the guilty sinner according to the justice of God.
That is God's job.

If you're pronouncing eternal damnation on guilty sinners, saying it's the Holy Spirit, you could be listening to another voice. God is Balance.
Stay in the Word so you know if the prompting you're listening to is really the Holy Spirit.

God is Just

Our God is just and righteous and will mete out just judgment to each individual. God being just, righteous and holy must act in a manner that is just, fair and upright. Gods nature or character leads Him to do that which is right at all times. God as the just One will be the final Judge of all things.

God is balance. Father, Son, Holy Spirit
There are many who have a lopsided view of the Holy Spirit.
Look at God's Word and His Holy Spirit.
If you overemphasize the Word without the Holy Spirit, you will forget God's love, mercy, grace. Harshness will be your fruit, pronouncing eternal damnation to the guilty sinners and becoming judgmental, critical...handing out the severity of God's wrath against sin; becoming holy in your own eyes.
---Gabrielle on 4/27/07

If you overemphasize the Holy Spirit, and are only led by the prompting of the Holy Spirit - without the Word of God; you will open yourself up to many voices.
The devil is a deceiver, you can think you are hearing from the Holy Spirit and an unholy spirit can play with your emotions.
Without the Word of God, you can fall into Scriptural error.
We must check all prompting of the Holy Spirit against the Word of God for truth.

The Holy Spirit helps you love sinners and enemies. Matt 5:44-45 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

The Holy Spirit is a gentle-man, and not a
shouter. He is sent as a Teacher to us.(1Cor
2:13) and then Jesus Himself tells us in the
Gospel of St John 14:26, that the Holy Spirit will Teach us ALL things, and bring to our rememberance ALL things, that Jesus
taught. Brian. 6933

The Joy of the Holy Spirit is always knowing that if we follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we can't go wrong. The Lord protects us daily and the Holy Spirit talks to our hearts.

The Holy Spirit does not Shout or Speak in tongues, People do that when the Holy Spirit comes upon them, And by the nature of your question I get the feeling you don't like it,
as did the stiff necked Jews in the Bible that also hated the works of the Spirit. It is not by might or by power but by my Spirit says the Lord, you can only know Jesus by the Spirit.
