God Overrides Free Will
In Genesis 20:6 we find," And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I ALSO WITHHELD THEE FROM SINNING AGAINST ME: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her." Can God override a man's free WILL if he wants to?

Since God knew King Abimelech's heart (that he was a man of integrity) He decided to give the king a head's up (devine revelation in the form of a dream). God knew that when Abimelech learned the truth of the matter he'd willingly choose to do the right thing .

Yes. Gen 20:6 is a great example. He did it. He also tells us in the Bible that "I can cause you to stand". God can do anything if he wants.

Read the verses prior to vs 6. In vs 3 God said to him in a dream, "Note, you a dead man, for the woman which you have taken; for she is married to a husband." Then he answered, will you also kill a righteous nation? the husband told me that his wife was his sister, and the wife told me that her husband was her brother, therefore I am innocent in taking this woman. God answered, I know, that is why I hahsak (hebrew= halted) you from sinning (ie: committing the offense of adultery) against me.

You can look at this verse another way too. God protects those who belong to him. Maybe it was that covering Sarah had from the Lord that kept her out of his reach. God had to explain to him in a dream why and that she was Abraham's wife.
Have you ever found yourself in the presence of someone who swears, but when you come near they stop? Not because you asked them to, but just because your presence has the Holy Spirit.

Assumedly, God can do whatever He wants. But IF God can override free will then there is absolutely no excuse for sexual child abuse or for that matter any kind of child abuse.

"God resists the proud" (in James 4:6 and in 1 Peter 5:5 ) > so, God DOES resist us while me will to do things in pride. Because He cares about us, knowing where we would go if we kept on where Satan's spirit of pride (Ephesians 2:2) "works" to take people.
After your kids reach "age of accountablility", do YOU let them do whatsoever they please in their free wills? Because you love your children.

I agree with Rickey. A person needs to read before and after the verse to get the full meaning. Sometimes, you might have to read all of the scriptures in that chapter, and read more verses along with the same topic to get a better understanding. But in verse 3 God warns him.

No. He didn't withhold him from sinning. God showed Him the consequence of sin in the first dream in verse 3.
