What alleged World War III prophecies are you referring to when there are not even any prophecies referring to World War I or World War II in the Bible?

What denomination is your church and what seminary did your pastor graduate from?

Steven, Jody quoted a scripture that applies to both the future and past...there will be wars and rumors of wars. Unless youre talking about another statement Jesus made, where did you get that it has past from?

By the way the gathering of nations is not ALL nations...but then neither was any "world war", am I wrong?

Jody, don't be quick to criticize, even when you are right. We don't know what was discussed, so we shouldn't suddenly yell that the church in question is wasting time

Jody, i think if you read where you are quoting from that you've taken it out of context and that that event has already happened (AD70- the invasions of the romans on Jerusalem). i agree that the world will not be destroyed, this is because god will intervene...Please check the quotes listed before..

None. My Church focusses on the Bible and how to live as Christ would want us to live. Sometimes we are reminded of the four last things - Death, Judgement, Heaven, Hell. But, whether we die in a war or in our sleep it really does not matter. Even during the Y2K scare, we were focussed on being Christians.

How times change ... World War 1 was called the "War to end all Wars"
We now seem to look forward to the next horror, and some even say we should start it!

The Bible says that in the end times that there will be wars and rumors of wars and not to be frightened by that as it must be that way before the end comes. It speaks of nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom but nothing of world magnitude. The Bible is written clearly and does not mention that the world will go to war against itself, so, I do not believe it will. A World war would mean the distruction of the earth do to the nature of our weapons. Your church is waisting time.

have a look at Ezek 38; Dan2,11,12; Joel3; Micah 4,5; Zeph 3; Zech 4; Rev16. you'll have to use you're History books. the overall picture is that all nations will be gathered to israel to fight. Russia being the main force, with most of europe will come to take over jerusalem and those like Britain, America and Aust etc stand up to them... this will be within our life time as the Jews are Back in the Land of Israel cp luke 21 & Joel 3.

(Cumo, some of these guys are a little harsh, arent they?:])

I dont know of any World War 3 prophecies, unless ur talking of the wars in Rev,which might be called a world war,or maybe it's just war among select nations(Im referring to the futile wars against the anti-christ monarchy).Maybe U should educate us,thats if ur church isnt misinterpreting prophecy(which isnt uncommon or too wierd.Thousands of true Christians and Christian organizations are on a misinterpret-end-time-prophecy agenda today:])

I have been told ever since I can remember that the United States will go to war with Russia. And when that happens (or if) then it will be world war 3. I don't know really.
But it is not a prophecy yet, because it hadn't come to pass. If it does come to pass, then I can honestly say it was a prophecy.

"a general overall feeling that the end is near"
They've been thinking that for 2000 years
---alan_of_UK on 5/14/07

None. They teach Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for us at the church where we attend.
---Susie on 5/14/07

Not certain prophecies but a general overall feeling that the end is near. I agree with this feeling. I have friends who think that Armageddon has already begun. First because of the region we're in around Iraq. And they see the tremendous horrendous killing going on as the beginning of the end time Wars. Interesting what they believe.
