keep it simple! God loves you..me,the minute He allows you awake & open your eyes! See enclosed in your Right mind! Safe ... That's love! Ps.145:9 God is good to all,and his mercies are over all.

Unlike human love, Gods' love is pure and unconditional.
---Ken on 6/4/08

You know how much a person loves you by the amount they will sacrifice for you. Jesus obviously sacrificed everything for all of us. He didn't have to, he chose to. I know he loves you because of what he did for you. If you would accept that love then I believe you would actually feel it.

He loved you enough to die for you. He wants you with Him for all eternity!
---maryj9396 on 6/20/07

1st Cliff,

This world is not perfect and nor are we, we are subjected to the consequences of life, we're not yet risen but we pray to be found worthy one day but YOU won't do so trying to prove God, God Is and DID an their ain't a thing you can do about it accept PRAY that Your name is written in the Lambs book of life, all the Education in the world couldn't fatham God!

He loved you enough to save your soul. What better proof does one need.
---catherine on 6/3/07

He died for you. Jn.15:12-15 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, If ye do whatsoever I command you. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for a servant knoweth not what his lord doeth; but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." We have His Word.

I know that Jesus loves me because there is no one else in this world that would die for my sins except Jesus.
---Katherine on 6/2/07

If you believe that the Bible is true, then you can know for sure that Jesus loves you, because it is declared in the Bible. When you feel depressed, overwhelmed, or doubtful, you can have the reassurance that you are loved by Jesus simply because the Word of God is timeless and true.

"He loved you enough to save your soul". That is what God said to me one night.+++

Helen; " God cannot look on sin" I've heard that many times, where do you get that saying? God not only looked at Adam and Eve ,but spoke to them after they had sinned! Look how many sins He saw in the scriptures, these cliche's really get me, and have no basis in fact!

1st cliff: " Q?- What "punishment" do I deserve"?

same as everyone else...the wages of sin is death
---christina on 5/28/07

1stCliff - The punishment we deserve because of sin is eternal separation from God. Jesus bore that on the Cross when He cried "My God, My God why hast thou forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46). At that moment God the Father turned away because He cannot look on sin. Our sin was placed on Jesus. That was agonizing for Jesus who had been for all of time one with the Father. Jesus paid the price in full for us, so that we may now have eternal life in Him. Without Jesus we are condemned to Hell.

Helen; "He bore the punishment you deserve" Q?- What "punishment" do I deserve"?
---1st_cliff on 5/28/07

1st Cliff - All the sickness and pain in this world is because of the fall. It is all due to sin. Before the fall, Adam and Eve had no sickness or pain or sorrow. When Adam fell everything fell. Sin brought with it sickness, pain and all the horrible things you have mentioned in your post.
---Helen_5378 on 5/27/07

Hi Cliff; Helen just gave the perfect answer. As to handicaps and pain, I don't know why. But I have a different perspective on my deafness than most people do. You see, I suffer from bad panic attacks and if I could hear, the world around me would be all the more frightening to me. When God let me be deaf, He was sheltering me--and probably making me more compassionate towards others. But no, obviously I don't have all the answers--only God does.

You know that Jesus loves you because He died on the Cross for you. He took your place and bore the punishment that you deserved.
---Helen_5378 on 5/21/07

Replies to this blog are all warm and fuzzy,as a child I used to sing "Brown and yellow, black and white,Jesus loves the little children of the world" 'till I saw babies with bloated stomachs, flies on their faces,30 thousand dieing every day from hunger (all it would take is a little rain)Christ died for "mankind" not individuals, else why are some born blind, deaf, autistic, down syndrome, limbless, retarded, conjoined etc.?
---1st_cliff on 5/20/07

Romans8:38,39, really drives it home for me. That scripture lets me KNOW when I can't feel anything that Jesus loves me. Usually,I can feel His love because I love Him. The knowledge that He died a torturous death for us also is reasuring.

Pt1
I love Donna's answer. Knowing God's love comes from relationship and your relationship with Him will be developed and strengthened as you spend time with Him ... in His Word and in prayer.

Pt2
Here are some verses that encourage me and help me realize that God wants us to experience and feel His love.

John 13:1 - Jesus "showed" His disciples "the full extent of His love."

Ephesians 3:19 - He wants you to "know" His love (the Amplified Bible says: that you may experience the love of Christ for yourself.)

Hebrews 6:5 - The Amplified Bible talks about "feeling" the goodness of God.

I know HE loves me because HE was willing to go to the cross for me and pay for my sins.
---Susie on 5/16/07

I will tell you what Jesus said to me the other day during one of my self pity sessions with Him. "I loved you enough to save your Soul". Pause and think about that one.
---catherine on 5/16/07

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Which means God left his throne to become human to shed innocent blood to save us of our sins. Who else would die for you? That's a love found only in Jesus. Unconditional. Glory to God.

As you come to KNOW Jesus, really KNOW who He is, His love towards you, and as you "walk" with Jesus each and every day of your life, you talk with Him, tell him How you feel, you Praise Him and worship Him, He will respond to you and pour out His love upon your life. It's the same with a real life relationship...love grows and it grows deeper and deeper as we get to know a person. Get to know Jesus through His word, study it, read it, study his compassionate nature towards the sick, etc.,
---donna on 5/16/07

You know for a fact that Jesus loves you by reading each of the four gospels and reading what God says in His Word.
