It is said 'For god and country" In ww2 in Germany they said 'Gott em mittence'-god is with us' No as to those to conflicting statements, either God is confused, or man is. I vote man is.

While I might believe the constitution is inspired, its a personal subjective belief, one i wold not impose on another. Some say God will curse a country for evil, bless it for goodness.

Maybe God does not take an interest in tribal units called nations?

Yes, nations and groups of people have always had certain blessings and gifts. And even curses. Just look at Cain. Look at Jacobs sons when he blessed them he gave each one a heritage that continues today. Family blessings go to a thousand generations. Special physical and spiritual gifts are given to nations all through the Bible and yes, these gifts become even stronger as the person gets closer to the Lord.

Israel is to be a model for all nations.

"Is it too light a thing that you [Messiah, son of David] should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel; I will give you as a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth." (Is. 49:6).

The nation was to be a Holy People Isaiah 62:

"For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her vindication goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch. The nations shall see your vindication, and all the kings your glory;

and you shall be called by a new name which the mouth of the LORD will give. You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. You shall no more be termed Forsaken, and your land shall no more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called My delight is in her, and your land Married; for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married.

For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

"Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the LORD in remembrance, take no rest, and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.

The LORD has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: 'I will not again give your grain to be food for your enemies, and foreigners shall not drink your wine for which you have labored; but those who garner it shall eat it and praise the LORD, and those who gather it shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.'

Go through, go through the gates, prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway, clear it of stones, lift up an ensign over the peoples. Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the end of the earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.' And they shall be called The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD; and you shall be called Sought out, a city not forsaken."

I believe Native Americans or American Indians have a great understanding of the Holy Spirit. I believe they do come by it naturally. Christian Native Americans, sharing the gifts of the Holy Spirit are a blessing, indeed.

"GOD YOU ARE GREAT, and we are small - thank you for your mercy."
Native Americans know how to share God at a deep level. They know how to make contact with God and His Son and His Holy Spirit. Many come to God who are discouraged, but have a renewed hope when they meet Jesus.

It is easy to criticize that which we do not understand, it is our human nature to do so.
Ever since Cain tried to silence the voice of his brother, people hate the difference in the ways that others worship God.
---Cherokee on 5/16/07

As Native American believers in Jesus, there is a different history and culture than the rest of American society. Though Satan has tried his best to get Native Americans ashamed of their culture, most often, using the church to do so - Native Americans are happy to be just as God has made them to be.

Native Americans will change everything that displeases the Father but disregard arguments and accusations brought by those following the way of the Judaizers spoken about in Galations.
---Cherokee on 5/16/07

The criticisms from the church has kept untold thousands of Native Americans away from the church and from hearing the wonderful message of Jesus' love for them.
Let us go on from here, content to glorify God together in what we do understand together, and to practice tolerance in what we do not.
People need to know Jesus Christ.

Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

My grandparents were Cherokee. My father is Cherokee. My relatives died on the Trail of Tears. My mother is a direct descendant from Andrew Jackson.
Someone called me and reminded me today that I am Cherokee. I have a heart that cries for the Native Americans.
They are gifted, and God loves them.

The war cry of the Native American today, is BINGO.
My father doesn't drink or smoke or gamble.
Yesterday, he wanted to go to the Indian Casino, to see why all of his brothers were going in there. He wanted to take a look.
It was a very long drive, but we made it there.
There were all of his 'brothers and sisters', sitting dazed at the slot machines, punching buttons, losing their money.

My father moves slow with a cane. We saw old men, with holes in their shoes and raggedy clothes. Everyone was smoking, you could cut the air with a knife. In a short time, we were so saturated with smoke, our clothes would stand up alone.
We saw sad, broken people. After awhile, we had enough and made the long drive home.
This is not what Jesus has in mind for the Native Americans. They have gifts and talents, the likes of which the world has never seen. Pray for them.

1838, Cherokee were grieving so much,
they were unable to help their children survive the journey.
The elders prayed for a sign that would lift the mothers spirits to give them strength.
The next day a beautiful rose began to grow.
The rose is white for their tears; a gold center and seven leaves on each stem for the seven Cherokee clans.
The wild Cherokee Rose grows along the route of the Trail of Tears into eastern Oklahoma today.

"What other nation on earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his people, making himself a name, and doing for them great and terrible things, by driving out before his people a nation and its gods?" (2 Sam. 7:23)

"Angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven, 'By myself I have sworn,' says the LORD, 'because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will indeed bless you, and I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore. And your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies,
by your descendants shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves, because you have obeyed my voice.'" (Gen. 22:15-18).

It is clear in the Bible that God has given each person a gift or gifts for the equiping of the saints to accomplish work for God's glory. The Bible does not speak about special gifts given to various nations or groups of people to equip them for some type of work or manner to bring Glory to Him. Interesting thought but no evidence in the Bible.
