Astrology is a tool of the devil. God says its witchcraft. Stay away from it. Now you know. Make your choice. Its up to you. God does not force us to do anything. We have free choice when we choose to follow Christ.

I agree with the moderator, it is a form of witchcraft and is not biblically permissible.

john, I think that falls under the catagory of astronomy, not astrology.

The Bible cannot completly be seperated from astrology, as in the 'wise men' who found the nativity. There are some esoteric examples in the OT.

I limit interest in astrology to when someone asks my personal sign i simply say "Neon."

Divination is defined as any technique used to gain secret information that God has not chosen to reveal.
God created the stars to be for signs:Ge.1:14 (so stars show signs, info God has CHOSEN to reveal).SeeJob38:31-32 God uses stars as influences.
Dream interpreting isn't wrong, but Daniel could interpret when king's other dream interpeters couldn't.Bible DOESN'T call astrology wrong, but DOES say astrologers can be wrong!(&can be just as evil as bad dream interpreters!)

No. It is a form of witchcraft according to the bible. I use to read it in the newspaper and found it to be quite entertaining. Bought a few astrology books. I really liked it but when the Lord comes in your life you give up that type stuff. He said it is witchcraft in His Word. I believe it and obey. Leave it alone.

Technically, astrology is in the Bible, but it is not permitted. The moderator is right in that it falls under witchcraft. My church condemns its practice and use, although my own mother likes to "follow trends" (which I do not like). But while she has studied it, she refrains from practicing it and understands that such things are not to be used for fortune telling.

No, it is definitely NOT biblical. It is of the world, demonic and not blessed by God.

Many read their daily horoscope. Oh, it's harmless, meaningless, just something I do every morning.
If it was meaningless, why would you even bother. It's a door into witchcraft.

According to the bible, astrologers (Heb ashasaph), and enchanter one who professes to divine future events by the appearance of the stars. It was forbidden by the Jews. De 18:10. It is the same as sorcer's, magicians, witch's. One shouldn't worship the stars. But the Wise men followed the stars to help them find Jesus. But they didn't worship the stars.

Astrology as far as naming the stars and planets and for navigation is Biblical. But if you mean astrology as far as horoscopes and such, that is witchcraft and was punishable by death in the law that God gave to Moses.
