Does God Send Angels

I was down town Kansas city and I saw a angel disguised as homeless person, I was compelled to give her ten dollars, As I walked away she had a look as though to try to conceal her joy. Do you believe that God sends angels to earth?

Yep. In Hebrews 13:2 it says, "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. "

Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

See:
Matt 1:20, 2:13, 2:19, 28:2, 28:5
Luke 1:11, 1:26, 2:9, 2:21, 22:43
John 5:4
Acts 5:19, 6:15, 7:30, 8:26, 10:3, 12:7, 12:23

I have no doubt that God sends angels to earth. I don't know if the person you encountered was an angel, but you never know! The bible says that angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Heb. 1:14). We may encounter them regularly and not even know it.

Don't think from point A to point B. Look at the meaning of First is Last this way. Birth, Life, Death, Birth. More of a Circle of life, continuous.

Melainie, I'm sorry, but you have just kind of repeated yourself in that explanation. What do you mean in the morning you are born and then you die at night? You sleep at night and wake up in the moring. And you live your life morning, noon and night, not just in the afternoon. I still do not get you. I'm sorry.

Mark and Sue, I will try to explain the meaning of First is Last. This is Gods order. In the morning I go to Heaven(Birth). In the afternoon I live my life. In the evening I die. First is Birth, Second is life. Last is death. Ok, when you die on earth your born in heaven, Last is First.

Awesome awesome ephre...totally agree w/ you

Meleanie Stephen: Please expleain this to me like I'm in kindergarden because I dont understand it either. How can I pass this message along when I have no idea what you're talkin about?
I would like to believe angels are on the earth, but have never seen one myself, that I know of.

In the OT, Angels made appearances for prophets of God like Abraham, Gedion, Joshua, Daniel. In all cases they brought message from God and in some instances received hospitality & sacrifices from man.

In the new testament, an Angel of God took Peter out of prison, and also appeared to John in prison to deliver the message to the 7 Churches in Asia.

They are sent by God on His instructions to serve His specific will on our prayers.

God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost talked to me in a series of dreams. The message in the dream from Revelation about the meaning of First is Last and Last is First. In the morning I go to Heaven. In the afternoon I live my life. In the evening I die, death. The meaning of this is that Birth is Last and Last is Birth in Heaven. Or First is Last. Pass this message along. Thank you Melanie Stephan and Yes there are Angels, possible one here, 7th Angel.

If you study the Bible you will find 2 types of "angels". First are the heavenly Angels, creations of God in adult male form used as messengers of a specific nature. Second are the earthly angels, which are human ministers of God's word (also male[though of late this has been challenged by many]).

Jenny: That is what I meant in my post. We have to be discerning christians. We have to be extra careful because people feel christians have to do something for them if they are homeless, hungry and so on. We are not obligated to do anything. But if I am in a position to help someone. I do and I will. But christians sometimes need help themselves. We have to use common sense( be discerning)God does not leave His children ignorant. Just the opposite.
---Robyn on 5/23/07

Yes. Sometimes we entertain them without knowing it. He sends Angels to protect us & sometimes they can take forms of others, do not doubt in Angels.

Susie. Your viewpoint that angels are sent only to give is not entirely correct. The Bible does say to be hospitable to strangers because we don't know if some of them may be angels. This means angels, who are disguised as humans, are recieiving from us the good things we offer them such as friendship, food, clothing, money, and shelter. They don't just come here to give.
---john on 5/23/07

Each day I am learning that people see just what they want to see. Angels are real. But, people keep trying to make them into something to idolize. God does send angels to earth, but not to take from us. They are sent for God's purposes, not ours.
---Susie on 5/22/07

Yes---I believe in angels. They protect us, lead and guide us daily. Whether the angel was disguised as the homeless person, that I don't know. But if wasn't, the homeless person was overjoyed to receive that kind of money from a perfect stranger. Everybody on the streets are not homeless or broke. Some live better than we do. I pray your experience was genuine. You did a good thing. I do this as well. I usually give food now, clothes, shoes. We do have to be discerning christians.

Elder, I googled and found a photo of one. Full-size image had a testimony of a gay person. This person's only regret about being gay is that he kept it secret for so long. Repressed himself when he could have been loving someone.
It's so sad really. I'm sure that's not the only testimonial on a cup either. What is wrong with the folks at starbucks? I don't buy their coffee.

I do believe that God sends angels in all forms. I beleive alot of them on the street are the ones who have been afflicted by this wicked system of things.

YES!! The Bible teaches that angles come for a number of reasons. They give us messages, give opportunities to entertain straingers knowing that the kingdom was close, to keep us from harm, as ministers to our spirits..we need to be careful though, as some are worshiping angels these days which is prohibited. They are fellow servants and not Gods. Satan himself could pose as an angel if he thought you would IDOLIZE an angel.
---jody on 5/22/07

Yes, He does, but we are not to worship angels or seek their company (start visiting with your guardian angel as some do). My grandfather picked up every hitchhiker, invited every homeless person home because of the scripture, "entertaining angels unaware". Some of those homeless people were not angels and never wanted to leave. One robbed my grandfather and knocked him over the head with a beer bottle. God is balance, some people have to learn that the hard way.

Yes I do believe that God sends angels down to earth to see how they would be treated by God's people. To see how much compassion and mercy we have. It could be a homeless person as you said, or if your car broke down along side the road. God will send an angel in human form to help. We are told to entertain strangers for they might be angels. Heb 13:2.
---Rebecca_D on 5/22/07

Way far TOOOOO, many people are seeing angels today to have any doubt, the Bible tells us how they are sent here for us and also tells us that WE ENTERTAIN ANGELS unnaware!
