Hello Frank, can you explain what you are talking about? I saw my name on your question and wanted to know what you were saying and what brought it up? thanks bro.
---mark on 6/30/08

Madison, did we have a night last night! Three nights without sleep, I do feel like a new mother. The howling, crying, screeching, yelping would not end. I could feel the neighbors getting mad. I put her in the dog carrier by my bed. She was sniffling back tears like a kid. Finally went to sleep. What was I thinking?!
An elderly women had to go into a home, put her in the shelter. For 9 mo. she sat in the woman's lap, ran all over the furniture, house with absolutely no training whatsoever.
---Raine on 7/1/07

Raine: My daughter had to take her dog to "Puppy Boot Camp" for training from an expert. She is much better than she had been in the beginning. For the most part, she just likes to sit on your lap and curl up in a ball. In the beginning she was like an ADHD puppy, which is typical of Jack Russell's.

My mom has a cockapoo puppy who is just like your Sophie. I am not sure how old he is. The concept of sitting still is not in his vocabulary either.
---Madison1101 on 7/1/07

OH NVBarb, you do have an idea. Sophie bounces off of me like I am her human trampoline. She hits me from every angle at at a glancing blow. She can bounce off my shoulders when I turn my back. She's 9 mo and has not been trained in any area. Jumping, licking, potty, you name it, she's Sophie the wonder dog. The howling at night does not stop for hours. Just when I want to give her back to the shelter, she jumps in my lap and totally redeems herself.
---Raine on 6/30/07

WOW! I haven't been here much lately, I missed a lot!
Congrats Sue, you and Madison are so blessed to have new babies! I'm TRYING hard not to be jealous--I want G'children!
Madison is not just being a 'proud G'ma, I saw some pix of Isabel and she is so precious, a beautiful child!
Congrats and thanks Raine for giving the homeless 'baby' a good home! Expect a lot of activity from that mix!
---NVBarbara on 6/30/07

Raine: My daughter, the mother of my newborn granddaughter, has a Jack Russell. Poor thing does not know what to do with the new baby in the house. She was pitiful, always climbing in my lap for attention. Enjoy the new puppy.
---Madison1101 on 6/29/07

I am home from Michigan. I miss the baby so much, it hurts.

Please pray for my 80 year old mother. She is not sure of where she will spend eternity. She says she is putting her faith in God to do what is best, but when asked why God should let her in heaven, she says she does not know.
---Madison1101 on 6/29/07

I have a new baby today, too. Her name is Sophie, she weighs 17 lbs. She is a JackRat. Jack Russell/Rat Terrier. She is black/white and has the markings of a Holstein cow. I think she's darling. She's been barking up a storm and had better stop it since I have some neighbors. I put her house together and I'm hoping she'll stay outside tonight. I picked her up from the shelter, she needed a home.
---Raine on 6/28/07

Congratulations, Sue! What a wonderful blessing!!!

After a long, painful, hard labor my daughter had her baby boy. 8 Lbs and 1 oz. Beautiful baby boy! I dont think I could've taken it much longer, I wanted to put the pain on me I hated seeing my daughter in that much pain! But I thank God for a perfect healthy baby.

Today was the last day of school for the students I taught. Tomorrow is the last day for teachers. Thursday, Mom and I leave for Michigan, via Pittsburgh, to finally see my newborn granddaughter, Isabel. I am so excited, I can't sleep at night. Her cheeks look so kissable, it is unbelievable. I never thought I would be this nuts for a baby.
---Madison1101 on 6/19/07

AlwaysOn: That is my prayer for my darling Isabel. I also pray that I may be a grandmother whose testimony and love for God will shine as an example to her.
---Madison1101 on 6/17/07

And may our Father bless, continuously guide and watch over little Isabelle Colleen. May she forever walk in His instruction, grace, mercy and favor. May He personally instruct both of her parents, her grandparents and all of those to whom her care is ever entrusted on how to best love her and best shape her life according to His purpose for her. May she be talented, humble, courageous and grow to be a shining example of a woman of Christ.

---Helen_5378 on 6/16/07

No name yet, but I do have pictures. She is too cute for words. She has long, dark hair, just like her mother did when she was born. Her nose looks like her mother's and she has her dad's lips. God smiled down on my family when He created this wonderful child.
---Madison1101 on 6/15/07

Barb...Welcome back! I love those beaches up your way. I went deep-sea fishing once at Gold Beach. I will never do that again. I was sick all the time we were out.

My daughter put the phone near the baby this afternoon and I heard her squeak and cry. I couldn't help crying for joy when I heard my granddaughter for the first time. I get to see her, and hold her, next Thursday. My mom and I are going to have to fight for her. Mom got first dibs though. She outranks me by 30 years. LOL

Madison, How is your daughter? Has the baby been born yet? Both are in my prayers.
---sue on 6/14/07

My granddaughter was born today, at 1:38 this afternoon, EDT. She weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and is 21.5 inches long. She has a full head of hair, just like her mommy did when she was born. Praise the Lord for His goodness.

There is a new soda that has more caffine than Mt. Dew. It is called Vault. And yes I have tried it. And yes I do like the red soda. and it is cheaper than Mt. Dew. but I still only drink one 20 oz bottle a day. That is a breakthrough, since I was drinking at least 5-6 cans a day.
---Rebecca_D on 6/14/07

When I was younger (many, many years ago), I drank about a six-pack of coke a day. Since I took asthma medicine, I decided to stop drinking so much caffeine and drink Mountain Dew (thinking it had no caffeine). When I told my doctor that the meds were making me very shaky, he asked about my soda drinking. He died laughing when I said I was drinking Mountain Dew because it had no caffeine. LOL! That's when I learned that it had more caffeine than any other soda at that time.

Rebecca: I got a chuckle from your reply about Mountain Dew. A year ago, I was challenged with the fact that if I had the gastric bypass, which I did, I would have to give up Diet Coke for 6 months. I actually had to pray about that one. LOL. It turns out that now that I can drink Diet Coke, I don't like it anymore. I don't like any soda. I am addicted to diet, iced green tea though. Pity the fool who tries to take that away from me. If your doc says it does no harm, then enjoy.
---Madison1101 on 6/13/07

Me give up Mt. Dew??? That is like telling a pig stay out of a mud-hole. I still drink it, but less often. In the mornings so I won't get a headache. Thank you all. Madison, I hope all goes well with your daughter and her child.

The baby is not here yet. I keep praying that she makes her arrival soon. Poor daughter is just in agony physically. Her hips ache, so she is not comfortable lying down to sleep. If she does get to sleep, then she has to get up to go potty.

Everything went just fine at the wake/funeral. The songs that were sung was Amazing Grace, Seranaded by Angels, Wish You Were Here. I keep thinking how selfish we are by not wanting someone to go. I mean they are gone to be with the Lord, and yet we want to keep them here on this old rugged earth with full of sin. It is normal to feel this way, but also selfish.

Johnny, I will pray for restoration for your friendship.
The blogs are a direct reflection of what's going on in the world. Whenever there's warfare in the world, there's warfare in the Church. The natural affects the spiritual and viceversa. We war with our families, friends, brothers/sisters in Christ. When we're done kicking each other, we want to kick ourselves in the rear. I'll pray, Johnny.
---BusyBee on 6/5/07

Thanks BusyBee. I needed that. Please pray that my brother in the Lord forgives me for yelling at him on the phone, and that our relationship is restored, and even better than before. I know I blew it, and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to say to him. I know I must talk to him.
---Johnny on 6/5/07

Mark, the idea was that we could just put our name instead of a question. Others could ask you what you thought about any given matter. Only you would answer and stop all of the others from causing a thread drift and confusion. After you answered the question fully the next person could ask their question. It would make it similar to a private blog and people could ask the same question to anyone and receive only their answer. They could compare who is saying what to get the best answer.

To the former bloggers that have fallen off the grid:
Don't let the blog hogs get you down.
Don't let the old blogs get you down.
Don't let any change in format get you down.
Don't let the rudeness upset the apple cart.
It's doubtful that the rude dudes will become any less obnoxious.
So jump back in while the gettin' is good.
The oldies but goodies are missing from the blogs.
---BusyBee on 6/3/07

To the goodies, what in the world are you doing? Summertime, I guess. Watering your lawns, drinking ice tea.
Wish you would all come back, it would be great to see your smiling faces and hear your points of view.
