- The Church of Jesus Christ: WHEAT (good seed).

- Gay leaders, demon seed, children of the enemy (the devil): TARES (darnel or false grain).

(Matthew 13:24-30)

The Church shouldn't under any circumstance accept (adopt, condone, submit to or otherwise approve of) gay leadership. Wherein we're all congregated in the world (the field), the Bible clearly shows Christians are not to assimulate (conform) & accept the abominable ways of unbelievers.

Gay leaders in the Church provoke God to sad consequences

"Churches who perform gay marriages are committing sin...". They most certainly are Jody. I don't know about you but that tells me if they're going against God's word (the Bible), then they're intentionally standing against God. That's not normative Christian behavior, so are they "really" Christians? I think not! (Mt. 7:15-21)

If seminaries can't tell, how can Christians that do not have the baptism of the Holy Ghost?
No wonder so many are taught such blasphemous things today!
And for the record there are many things posted here that are an abomination and go unnoticed!
Or people just don't care.

I do not think it is right for a gay person to be a leader of a church. I think it is very decieving and down right scary.
---Danielle on 7/18/07

No they should not. This sin is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. This certainly does not meet critia mentioned in the Bible for Church leadership. I also believe Churches who perform gay marriages are committing sin as a church body and become an abomination as well.
---jody on 7/18/07

it's not our place to judge but the church is to teach the babies in christ about christ and that goes against what God says why would a young believer believe anything you had to say if your already disobeying by being a gay leader. Young christians have to look up to the leaders we have to show them the way God exspects us to live
---bobba6578 on 7/18/07

We should not accept any leader straight or gay who is outright sinning. Leaders are to be ensamples to the congregants as well as the pastor. You know what gays do and it is an abomination unto the Lord! Not only that but straights do abominable things, also. If we are knowingly sining, we should refrain from trying to lead anyone, until we can be delivered ,from our willful sins.

Excellent point Sharon. How can people who aren't really in the Church (not born-again) lead within the Church? I know -- it's been going on for ages. How foolish/dangerous is that?!

- Only Christians, formerly known as "Gay", etc., (1 Cor. 6:9-11), are qualified for leadership in God's Church.

- Gays are "WELCOME" to attend Church activities "BUT" -- aren't qualified (don't meet God's biblical standards) for Church leadership.

Lev 18:22, 2Kings23:7 it was a sacrament in Baal worship,Dan11:37-38,2 Peter 2:4 and Romans 1 No it opens the door for anti Christ and false Church.
---Carol on 7/17/07

Gays are not IN the church. One must be born again as Jesus said in John 3. Jesus said "by no means" shall enter the kingdom of heaven unless he is born again.
---Sharon on 7/16/07

Churches should NOT accept gays as leaders. We are to love and accept the sinner, NOT the sin.

A church leader's life needs to be sanctified and above reproach, for if the blind lead the blind then both will fall into the ditch. Satan cannot cast out Satan, thus the leader must live a holy life in front of God, and daily sacrifice of self and substitution or impartation of Christ's life. But this resposibility is not for the leader only, but for each member of the church needs also to do likewise, sacrifice your own life for Christ's life. His Command is, Be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.

No. Leaders should be above reproach. Certainly I understand nobody is perfect, but there is a high standard to be upheld when in leadership. And this isn't the only area that should be examined in one's life. But God loves his children, and will deal with them appropriately. I can pray for them, and reprimand in love if it's my place to, everything else I have to give to God.
---Kady on 7/12/07

** If it is not accepted for Gay leaders why are there so many Adulterers who are not Leaders?**

Are you referring to remarried divorcees, Carla?
---Jack on 7/12/07

We need to love these people whom believe they are gay. But we also need to tell them the truth about what God says and how God feels. It is not acceptable to have any gay leaders behind the pulpit. It is a sin. Anyone that is living in sin and goes behind the pulpit is treading on dangerous grounds with God. I would not let anyone whom lets sin run their life behind the pulpit in my church. I won't condone it.
---Rebecca_D on 7/12/07

No. If gays are behind the pulpit, sin is going to rule the church. It is wrong and against God. I would not let someone whom has sin running their life behind the pulpit.

No! There should also be no drunkards, druggies, adulterers, fornicators, etc. in church leadership. The problem is that many hide these sins. There are church leaders today who are committing some of these sins and there are probably some who are committing all of these sins.

No. Nor should it accept Drug leaders, Alcoholic Leaders, Prostitue leaders, or thief leaders. They are all sins and anyone living that lifestyle is not living like Christ.
---Ron on 7/11/07

NO...anything going against the will of God and His Word is NOT right and gay persons should not be allowed in leadership positions
...especially in the church

Absolutely not! That lifestyle is called an abomination by God and should not be accepted by Christians.
---hadaa7675 on 7/11/07

Hi, Becky . . . nice to see you ((o:]}

Jesus wants me to love everyone, so if I knew someone was a gay church leader, I would want to get to know the person.

That's kind of an "old" issue, but I'll offer > 1 Timothy 3:1-10 shows who God wants to take care of His people.
