Would You Leave All Behind
Would you pick up and move, if God told you (and it was confirmed through much prayer) that you should pick up and move to another city or state, leaving your job, home, friends, church and family behind (similiar to what Abraham did in obedience to God), would you?

I have! Not much praying. God just, with His mighty spirit, moved me out. He picked me up. However, God did allow me to take a few things.

If I had the Peace of God in my heart and knew that it was his will for my life, then YES I WOULD..

John. Would you mind telling more about your experience - "He told us to sell everything." ?

Yes. I have done this. And boy is it hard not to look back. If God ever calls you to forsake something you love for the Kingdom of Christ the best advice I can give you is don't look back- Keep your eyes on Christ. The hardest thing is knowing that what ever you forsakeed- Satin will always remind you that its there and also he will try to place false guilt on you because you have forsaked it.

As a new born again christian the Lord convicted me in the middle of the night, and I knew I had to move. I did not have the financial means to do so. but on faith made all arrangements to make the 500 mile move. Just prior to leaving, I recieved a financial blessing from someone totally unaware of the situation which payed for the move, as well as all living expenses for a week. I settled my debts, by mail from my new address.

We've done that several times and have no regrets. The last time was 5 years ago. We were not required to move to a different city, just to another part of the city. He told us to sell everything. House, business, vehicles, machinery, tools, etc. We have not suffered. God is well able to meet our needs and provide much extra for us to give to the needy.

Yes, we have done this. God richly blessed us in ministries when we obeyed him.

The Lord God would have to give me enough cash to pay off my debt before I would quit my job and move. My legal responsibilities to pay my bills is something I believe God wants me to do.

It would be hard to do. But I know that if one doesn't do what God tells them to do, he makes it very hard to sleep at night until you do what he says. It is better to listen to God instead of running from him.
