Should Women Have Long Hair
I know that there is a bible verse saying that it is shameful for a man to have long hair but some here say that the bible also says that women should not have short hair. I cannot find that, could someone point me to the verse please?

First Corinthians 11:15 "But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." Based on this scripture. My mother never cut her hair except to trim the ends with a pair of scissors. And coincidentally, I once saw my mother turn a tornado(headed straight for our farmhouse) with prayer into a harmless wind.

Opportunity has hair in front, behind she is bald, if you seize her by the forelock, you may hold her, but, if suffered to escape, not Jupiter himself can catch her again.

why would you once set free be so easily entangled in the law once again?
Paul said - do what seems right to you- we have no such custom.
Don't be silly.

Paul's statement about heir length for women only applied to 1st Century Corinth it was made to differentiate Christian Women from prostitutes which were all over Corinth. It had no applicability other than Corinth had certainly has no modern applicability what so ever. Now women should not dress like prostitutes. The same thing applies to women's head coverings, it has no modern applicability.

Thank you for the verses you have quoted, the particular one being "but if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." and another says a woman should not be 'shorn'. I thought that shorn meant shaven but I see from the dictionary that it means cut so that is much clearer now. I'm surprised, though, how many long haired Christian women fasten their hair up. It isn't much of a 'covering' when they do that, so is that wrong also?

I believe that that the verse your person is referring to is that the long hair is a glory for the women because the hair is a covering for them in I Corinthians 11:15.

First Corinthians 11:6. Also read vs. 16 as it is not required.
