There are probably hundreds upon hundreds of interpretations of the five wise-five foolish virgins. My personal line of thinking has to do with the feasts. The five foolish virgins had no oil in their lamps. The oil in the Tabernacle of Moses was in the Inner Court where the candlestick was. This pictures the feast of Pentecost. The wise virgins had oil and had experienced Pentecost. Their lamps were lit just like the candlestick.

The five WISE Virgins in Matthew ARE the Bride of Christ (YAHUSHUA)!

MikeM - I don't know where you heard that - I didn't see anything like that on the web

not supportive of ETHMs but it wasn't young girls - in fact it appeared to be more widows and divorced women.
it maybe somewhat anti-male - I'm not sure

"the vile 'end-time-handmaidens.-

Are you the Mark who wrote the article, you probably are. It does sound like your writing.

End time handmaidens are in shepherding churchs, teen girls used by middle aged men. It comes from Geneses when Abraham took a 'handmaid.' Its a way to ensure the next generation of women are submissive. The irony is that the women, mothers of these girls are its greatest supporters, they are told like Abraham and Issac, they must love God more than (their own flesh(daughters)

I call it molestation.

I googled this and it was weird. There are dozens of sites about it and most are like this person that founded it is anti-christ. Over half the sites quote one ex-member this Mark schiender who posted earlier.

Lots of single page sites that had this guys experience on it. I suspect he has a personal beef.
The woman that started ETHMs a Gwen Shaw - sees angels and etc. Sounds a little new-agey to me but some of it looked great - as does most cult-like things that revolve around one personality.

I know that the 'End-Time-Handmaidens' are not the same as the Matthew 25 '10 Virgins'. Also, I know that the 10 Virgins are not the same as the "Bride of Christ".

It is clear that the 10 Virgins are an organized group of people that were not organized before 1843-1844 (Dan. 8:14)(Rock cut out w/o hands) and thought Jesus was going to come and now call that 'time' "The Great Disappointment". This same group professes to keep all 10 commandments and it will be the 5 wise virgins job to get the Bride ready during the time of trouble. All 10 are now sleeping and have no idea who they really are. (Read Rev. 3:1-6)

Endtime handmaidens could be a slew of different things. But, one I personally know of is a Prophetess of The LORD GOD (YAHUVEH). She serves to help prepare the Bride of Christ (YAHUSHUA) to get ready for the Rapture. So a Prophetess is one sevice and role within the Church as a "handmaiden".

MMills, did you ask this question?
Still mad at your relatives?
---Kelly on 8/14/07

They are unmarried servant girls. I would imagine it would be the same as Old Testament handmaidens except these are for now.
