A) anything else would make GOD a liar!

Because of the fall of Adam the race of man is totally depraved in thought word and deed!

Thus the need for Jesus the new Adam to live sinless and redeem us.

Mima
question

Did Jesus die for the world, or for the ones who GOD knows will follow him?

According to the Holy Bible(KJV) Romans chap 7:18 says For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but how to perform that which is good I find not
vs19: For the good that I would, I do not, but the evil which I would, I would not, that I do.
So I would agree with D---man has both evil and goodness in him.

C. Human beings are purely good as perfect spirit of God. . The ego that we manufacture however, is perfectly capable of evil actions. One is the true us, the other the false us.
---alexia on 9/14/07

I believe D is right. Man, more often than not, has the capability of being evil. Just look at the past and present atrocities committed by Man. Yet, as it states in Genesis, Man was made in the image of God. Through Christ, we can become good. We always will have to choose between doing evil or doing good. If we choose good, then having made the choice for good, we are operating out of the good that is God's image within us or Christ living within us.

Man's heart is evil. Genesis 8:21b ...for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth, neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

God saids this about man all that counts. So heed: The flesh is incurably corrupt, and carnal, and Sensual.God has no pleasure in wickedness, though covered with a cloak of religion. Let those who delight in sin know this God has no delight in them.God is angry with the wicked everyday. >>>Note please: The time of God's patience and forbearance towards provoking sinners is sometimes long, but always limited: Reprives are not pardons.

I also agree with what Helen says!!!

Humans are all evil and all belong to Satan. That is until one becomes born-again and ownership is then transferred to the Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing good in man, when Adam sinned everything fell and that includes us. That is why Jesus Christ had to come into this world and die on the Cross for us. We do not have any righteousness of our own, only that of the Lord Jesus Christ if we belong to Him.

Is man evil? NO-true we have the stain of original sin that is not oura as we are made to the Image of God.As we grow we see what takes place around us,some we inbibe some we discard. This is the goods & bads we inherit by our human nature.Hence we are asked to strive. Discioline. We see it in Atheletes peop,e of fame in all fields of life.God asks of us no less To be like Him.

I agree with what---jody_martin has written.

If humanity is totally evil, what do you make of a God that would create such a race, knowing of course that he was creating evil creatures. And the whole point is to see if we can climb from the pit to his good graces? Sounds kinda sadistic to me.
---alexia on 9/4/07

Hi Mima, Man is totally evil. The only righteousness is in Christ. The Bible says that "there is not one that is good: no not even one". We are born into sin and our very nature is sinful/evil. This is why we constantly struggle in our sanctification process to be holy. Wow what a process. By Gods grace and promise, He started the work in us and He will complete it even until the day. By His power. Glory by to Him!!
---jody_martin on 9/4/07

There is none that is good but the Father which is in heaven. Man is evil - A.
---Ryan_Z on 9/4/07

What a question! Reallt thought provoking.
I don't think man is totally evil, although some here will say we are.
There is plenty of evidence that men are capable of doing good, and it is not only saved Christians that do good.
I don't beleive as some here believe, that a non-saved person doing a good deed (such as giving his life to save another .. and I am talking of ordinary people who do this)is in fact doing evil.

# 2 I think we all have a mixture of selfishness and compassion in us, and thses give mixture of good and eveil actions.
It is God who has given us rules to curb our selfishness, and who helps us keeps those rules

man is an individualized expression of GOD. he only ate from the tree that contains the knowledge of good and evil. main while is destiny is till christ( fruit of tree of life).4 everything came out of , maintained thru him and going back 2 him

Greetings mima, I believe that D would be correct. Man has both evil and goodness in himself. The strife of the two natures in a child of God. Romans 7:15-25. Every day we have to choose whether we will walk in the flesh or the Spirit. If we keep our eyes fixed on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Gen 8:21 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though*every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

any holiness I possess is His and only His all my deeds are evil and before God there is no good thing. Thank You Lord that You even consider me.
---Andrea on 9/3/07

D. I do good things but I'm not perfect.
The good that I do is not my own, it's done because of God's influence on me.
