Cynthia, don't know if this will help or not, but John the Baptist said in Matt3:11 that he baptized with 'water' but one who came after him(Jesus) would baptize with the Holy Ghost and with fire.In Luke 11:13 Jesus said, the Father would give the H/S to them that 'ask.'I did and He did, so maybe it is something you have to ask for.The difference between the two baptisms are like night from day.God Bless all who seek TRUTH.

I believe the second coming of Christ will occur in two parts. The first part of his second coming will be when he comes in the air and we are caught up and be with him. Second part of his coming will be when he actually touches his foot down on earth in Jerusalem. The dead in Christ and the alive believers in Christ go in the first part. At the second part he divides the goat from the sheep. Time between first and second part is seven years. The last 3 1/2 years constitute the great tribulation.

I apologize if anyone took offense. That was certainly not my intent. The Holy Ghost is indeed the third person of God and it will take being baptized by Him to make the rapture.
---Mr._Graham on 9/30/07

Mr. Graham,

With all do respect Holy Spirit is not a "supernatural force". Holy Spirit is a person, the third person of the Trinity. (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) He can teach and He has feelings.

Hi Gary, wow I'm not the only one! :O :) Yeah I must confess I'm quite used to the quiet and, with my anxiety problems, it's actually a blessing--and I can always put my aids in and turn them up if I need 'em! :D But Heaven will be sooooooo wonderful--and no fear! :)
---Mary on 9/29/07

AMEN Catherine, and Praise the Lord!
---Cynthia on 9/29/07

The same Holy Ghost that fell upon the 120 in the upper room on the Day of Pentecost is the same Holy Ghost that must come upon us in order to make the rapture. It will take that supernatural force working within us to ascend to Heaven like Jesus, Enoch & Elijah.
---Mr._Graham on 9/29/07

The Rapture does not scare me at all. Listen, if you walk close to God you will not be afraid of the Rapture.. Listen, I am not talking about being a perfect speciman of a human-being and never doing anything wrong. that's ridiculous kind of thinking. Only Jesus was perfect down here.
---catherine on 9/29/07

The 10 virgins scripture is symbolic of believing Christians at the time of the rapture. The 5 wise virgins are ready for the Bridegroom (Jesus) because their lamps are filled with oil -- The Holy Ghost. The 5 unwise virgins are saved, but dont have the Holy Ghost and they will be spewed into the tribulation period.

It will take the Baptism of the Holy Ghost to make the rapture.
---Mr._Graham on 9/29/07

The only thing that scares me, about His return is that, in heaven, I'll hear for the first time since 1971.
I don't know how I'll respond to this "new" feeling of hearing-ness, after being totally Deaf for 36+ years.
---Gary on 9/29/07

Where did you ever hear the doctrine that "those who get the baptism of the Ghost will be raptured, but those Christians who don't can only get to heaven by way of the grave"?

I have never seen any scriptures that remotely suggest anything of that kind. If you have some, please enlighten me.
---StrongAxe on 9/29/07

Mr Graham, I thought you recieved the Holy Spirit at the moment of conversion. What is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost? Is this another Baptism other than water Baptism? Thank you for any spiritual insight that you, or anyone can share with me on this.
---Cynthia on 9/28/07

Why are you scared to see Jesus if your a Christian? Doesn't make sense to me. I say some Jesus, come!
---Michelle on 9/28/07

Yes & yes to both questions, as do all ".. whosoevers ... " of John 3:16, "true worshippers" of Jn.4:23-24, & doers of Romans 10:8-13.

Thank God Messiah's/Christ's Bride will be SNATCHED before the 31/2 year carnage of the anti-Christ.

Believers will be at Christ's 7 earthly years Marriage Feast In Heaven! Enough to 'shout about' in 'proper' fashion (lol) Praise God!

Praise Echad/God for "The [this] Blessed Hope" [Titus 2:11-14]!

I'm striving to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This is the only way to make the rapture. Those of us who are saved -- but yet have not received the baptism -- can only get to heaven by way of the grave.

Dawn)3) Believers stand at the JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST where believers are judged for their works both good and bad. They are rewarded for their works at that judgement. They recieve good rewards for good works and loss of good rewards for bad works but not salvation. It is described as being set ablaze where all bad is burnt off and the good stands and is rewarded with honorable things of heaven. Never is there loss of salvation at this judgement.:) Hope it helps your confusion. love, jody

Believers will be 'rewarded', not judged at "The Great White Throne Judgement Seat Of Christ Jesus", as all believers from Adam & Eve to the present [as long as the Lord tarries] were judged at His Atoning Sacrifice some 2,000 years ago.

If we are judged along with the world or unbelievers, His sacrifice would " .. have been vain, & we're yet in our sins"!
---bob_[Elishama]_6749 on 9/28/07

Dawn)1) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Never let satan scare you into believing you are not SAVED. Healthy fear of the Lord will help you WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING. I respect your honesty Dawn. I respect the honest responsed of concersn bloggers as well. I am just seeing a different view here. I am feeling that you are fine spiritually and fearing the Lord as you need. Just that the Lord has forgiven your past. Now, You need to let go and forgive yourself.
---splaa6685 on 9/28/07

Dawn) 2) Regarding the GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT. While there is some controversy as to who might appear at this judgement, most say this judgement is saved only for the unbelieving, wicked, fallen angles and Satan. Due to the fact that it says that "those whose names are not found in the book of life are cast" into hell, means to some that there must be some whose names are found in the book who might have been in the sea. You probably will not stand at that judgement.:)

gee, I get to tackle two birds with one stone. first. if the righteous are taken from the earth in a rapture. who are the righteous on the earth to witness the second coming of Jesus Christ to usher in the first resurrection of the dead? second. the bible says everyone will be judged according to every word, action, thought, deed and their example in life. both the bond and free, male and female, wicked and the righteous. why do so many deny simple truths from the bible.

None of us can REALLY do enough. We all fall short, but that's OK.
---StrongAxe on 9/27/07

Do not fear.
Isa 40:1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

Isa 40:2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins.

Dawn your iniquities have been pardoned. You've received a double portion of grace.
Christ has paid the price in full.

Lord bless you,
---trey on 9/27/07

Dawn, the great white throne judgement is for unbelievers only. Believers in Christ will be judged at the judgement seat of Christ for how we have lived our lives and served our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ from the time that we were saved. You can know for sure that if you were to die today you would go to Heaven. Read 1 John chapter 5. Especially verses 10-14. I hope that helps you. As far as the Rapture of the Church, I say Come Jesus Come in all your Glory and Splendor...Watch and be ready..AMEN!

I am speaking to you as a friend. Either you are saved, been bought by the Blood of Jesus Christ or you have not been bought by the Blood of Jesus Christ, in which case, you are lost and on your way to Hell. Dawn5953.Everything you wrote is pointing to the latter. When you sinse the Person of the Holy Spirit wooing inside of you and convicting you of your sins, please say yes to Jesus. Hell is brutal. Do not worry about what to say. God will initiate all of it. Have a great Day.
---catherine on 9/27/07

Dawn....all that fear. Do you know where that comes from?

"I have not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Men's hearts will fail them for fear for looking at the things coming upon the EARTH, not the things coming upon them.
---Linda on 9/27/07

Man I cannot wait. Just think living forever with the one true God, who sets me aglow.>>>Come on Jesus.
---catherine on 9/27/07

Dawn, God already knows your deepest secrets. Be comforted in the fact that He has and will forgive you. Just ask. I am sorry about your dad, but, according to the Bible, you will not remember your father nor will you "hear" him. There is an impassible gulf between Heaven and Hell. God be with you and your dad.

I want to see Jesus and I believe I am saved but yes the Rapture does scare me. Actually what scares me is the White throne judgement. I am afraid of what will be revealed about me, because it says everything will be known. I am afraid God will be angry with me and say I have wasted my life. I am afraid my Dad will go to Hell and I will hear his screams from Hell.
---Dawn5953 on 9/27/07

I look around at all of these people striving for the "American Dream". Pfff! This world is not our home. Do not get comfortable. You get settled here, you'll have a hard time leaving, if at all.
---Joe_Hardy on 9/27/07

I can't wait for the coming of Jesus. I wish he'd come today!

I am looking forward to the Second Coming of Christ. Sometimes I find it hard to wait, but then I remember that not all are ready yet and I have to be patient.
---lorra8574 on 9/26/07

I often think of this question. No, I do not feel like I have done enough, or been good enough, or loved enough, I fall so short, and come up more empty than I ever contemplated, I want to be outstanding for God, but am often broken hearted at what a mess I am most days.
