The human eye can actually perceive a greater dynamic range than is ordinarily possible with a camera.
---Nana on 5/13/11

Since both the human eye and cameras (both digital and analog) operate on principles of optics, if something is invisible to one, it will be invisible to the other as well. The only possible exceptions would be things that are visible but outside the spectrum that human eyes can see (for example, infrared and ultraviolet).

OH YES YOU CAN! I do it all the time! Even DVD movies esp.where there's a DISASTERS (they LOVE those). Mostly the mean-looking faces. A diggycam and a flash can pick up ANYTHING! I have discovered CRYPTIC messages all IN my car and have FOUND hidden PINHOLE LENS! This all is true!

Thats like saying can a Angel be caught on Camera.. No I dont think so.. They are in the spirtual realm.. Which we have no buisness in.. and just suppose it did happen .. like the suppposed voices from hell.. its to serve a purpose.. God would not allow such a thing to happen unless it futher served his glory
---kevinwynstra on 2/20/11

Very interesting Mary Beth, but we don't have the ability to see celestial bodies (spirits) unless the Lord allows their manifestation for his purpose. Obedient angels appear as men in scripture and in some encounters were quite imposing and frightening, but we find no human attributes attached to demons in scripture.
The invisible world controls the visible world and demons are much more effective unseen.

demons are everywhere now maybe its because of all the wars and stuff even though i sort of believe in both sides i still think demons are out there. god may or may not help us. it depends on whether we know what is happening or not.
---angie on 2/19/11

god is not real if u belive in demons then why belive in god he wont save u
---katina on 11/24/10

No! If demons could be seen thrugh a digital camera, then there would not be a world filled with ignorant people who does not believe that they exist, my friend.
---catheine on 10/18/10

God does take off blinders when it's for the Word of God. I take 100's of pictures a week and started seeing these faces after an intense 1hr. long prayer session. I walk in the Word, Jesus is my love and my life. I PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS multiple times a day because demons are everywhere, just because we can't see them, doesn't mean their not there. I can see them in pics from the late 1800s to today and I'm a true Christian in every way. I didn't ask for this. I believe it's a ministering tool for non-believers.
---Mary_Beth on 10/17/10

I dont think anyone has the answer for this, just opinions. We know that evil spirits are here on earth, according to the Bible, so I guess it would be possible to capture them on film...but who knows.

JP, are you saying that we should not keep pictures of loved ones?

I have photos hanging of my dead parents, of my children and both mine and my wife's family. Also some of my wife and I including our wedding pictures.
---Caring on 5/21/08

Sure. Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. What do you think all of those ghost hunting shows are about. He deceives many with photos of demons, caught on camera. Many people latch on to photos of demons, believing it's their family members. By hanging onto to those photos, they open a door that takes them further down into deception...especially when they share the photos of demons with everyone around them.
---JP on 5/17/08

This experience happens to the most vulnerable, those who choose to grieve rather than recover. Demons look for the vulnerable. If they can tempt or convince them to use the occult to contact the dead, they will. Photos of demons, a hook in the jaw to pull you down. Total deception.
They will be surprised if they make it to heaven that demons may be able to mimic to a point, but it really wasn't their family member at all.
---JP on 5/17/08

My wife claimed one of the photos she took had a demon on them.

She took it to a laboratory and after careful examination, she found out that it was me on the photo ,-((

I love God. We're blessed with faith. This is God's Universe. God can do what he wants-needs to for our sake, if his children accept him. My faith has never, ever been on demons...Good and the TRUTH obliterate evil. We pray for understanding and comfort when we mourn. We pray for miracles-support when we need God. Don't be surprised if you see/feel an Angel or gift from the holy spirit. I have. Stop looking for demons and start believing in the power of the holy spirit. It can be anywhere, pics, etc.
---JP on 5/16/08

If he never saw it again, I hope it didn't invite itself to stay in his house, on his person.
Entertaining demons, taking photos of familiar spirits, not an activity for the Christian. By doing so, it's no different than a seance or using a ouija board. You're inviting the demons in with an open door.

Any fascination with demons is playing into the devil's intention to take your life.
When you willingly invite them in, but one day find they're destroying your mind, and you try to rid yourself of them, they'll say, "who are you?" Beezlebub cannot cast out Beezlebub, when there's an open invite.

i believe a demon can be captured on digital. my brother sent me a cell phone shot, this thing can be seen as a headshot. black darkness in background, since the photo was taken in the dark, with a diamond shaped bluish-white aura around the head. the head, i could clearly see two eyes, 2 small horns. and what looked like small fangs in the mouth. the being was white, almost like electricity had allowed it to come forth. he never saw it again.

The Holy Spirit gives warning, a check in your spirit, when you're coming up against a lie from the devil.
God has an unlimited arsenal as His disposal.
He will use amazing means to get His sheep to listen. God may even allow a sting to show how far off course His sheep have wandered.
Pride, security and reputation lead sheep astray.

I do believe that Linda is correct. We shouldn't be focusing on demons. We are suppose to have our eyes on Jesus. How can we glorify Jesus if we have our eyes on the devil?>>>Get you eyes and thoughts off the devil get your eyes and thoughts on God and you will do WELL.++
---catherine on 10/5/07

I don't believe we should be focusing on demons. Our vision is to be firmly fixed on Jesus. However, I am positive that we are not to be ignorant of Satan's devices or means of operation. Like Whisper said, how can you resist an enemy whose tricks are not known.
---Linda on 10/4/07

Proverbs says, "I wisdom dwell with prudence and find out knowledge of witty inventions." That phrase "witty inventions" is the Hebrew word "mezimmah" and means:

From H2161, a plan, usually evil (machination), sometimes good (sagacity): - (wicked) device, discretion, intent, witty invention, lewdness, mischievous (device), thought, wickedly.
---Linda on 10/4/07

In other words, wisdom dwelling with prudence can find out knowledge of the devices of the enemy and make them known. Indeed, Jesus has made a open show of the principalities and powers, triumphing over them. A view of His triumph is also a view of what He triumphed over. Jesus showed Himself publicly to many witnesses. That triumph also reveals the enemy. The enemy isolates and makes it sound like a good thing. Many other ways did He openly reveal the devices of the enemy.

Whether it be a physical war or a spiritual battle, we do know who the enemy is at all times. What happens in the spiritual realm, heavenlies, affects our physical world. The devil is called the prince of the power of the air. This battle has been going from the moment that Lucifer rebelled against God.
He continues to fight against God, using any war or anyone who will aid and abett his limited plans.

As far as burning photos of demons, the most recent one I found was in a Christian book. I suppose many grieving Christians have bought it, the book and the lie.
People are dying to see a picture of a ghost (demon) but scared to death of the Holy Ghost. But you see, that is a spiritual battle, too. If you reject the Holy Ghost - you will be open to unholy ghosts - and they will seem more real to you than reality.

No, demons cannot be seen on film. That applies to anything that cannot be seen. If you cannot see it, then the camera cannot see it either.
---Helen_5378 on 10/4/07

I think it is great to worship, and always be living and walking in the Spirit of Holy, but I am not one to live in denial and have no understanding of who our war is against either. How is it that you go to war and you do not know what your enemy even looks like, or who he is, awareness IS KEY. Many Christians have blinders on, not me.

I think that demons work very hard seeking us out. I really don't think that there is any need for us to go seeking them, by any means whatsoever. If anyone thinks that they have seen one in a photograph I would suggest burning it. Don't take a second look and don't show it to anyone else.
---RitaH on 10/4/07

I would not be opening up that can of worms. Stay off of demons on youtube. but there are some great worship videos, I sent one out to my friends today with "get ready to worship" warning on it - awesome.
go to youtube Kari Jobi - seeking more of him

Michelle, I love the way you think, and the things you say. And I so much agree with you.

Wow! That's an area I wouldn't dare mess with, personally! Focus on Jesus Christ not demons, they're not worth our focus anyway!

I highly doubt it since angels/demons are spiritual beings and will not reveal themselves unless they have want to.

* You can see them on you tube.*

I highly doubt that "You Tube" is a creditable source......
---Ramon on 10/2/07

I've seen photos with demons or familiar spirits on them. The devil's tricks evolve with technology, no reason why he can't be seen on a digital as well a polaroid.
All of those ghostbuster shows on TV showing live footage while they're in castles, etc. People are dying to see a photo of a ghost, but also scared to death of the Holy Ghost. Quite bizarre. They have more of a fascination with death than they do the living. The Bible says come out from among them and separate yourself.
---Michelle on 10/2/07

Demons can be seen and heard over the telephone lines, radios, cameras, airwaves. This is nothing new. That's why satan is called the prince of the power of the air.
The greater question, is why do you want to see one?
It won't help you in any way. You might open up the door to an even greater fascination with demons, what for?

Can we expand the scope on this one to include ghosts, poltergeits, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairie, invisible aliens, and Vice President Dick Cheney when he's in an undisclosed location? And if anyone's got any pictures, where can we post them? I've got lots!
