This is not a very difficult question. Test yourself. Does the living God live in me? If the answer is yes, then you are saved. And, there will be no doubt.

Romans 5.18 makes me absolutely certain of my salvation.

I am more Brutish than any man. our author is mindful of his own finitude as a member of a fallen humanity. His ignorance and narrow experiences as a mere human are the cause of profound Humility [Prov. 30-2]. Good night folks. >>>++

I learned a long time ago if my salvation was up to me - I was toast.
Every day as I gave myself to Him and trusted that He was there and forgiving me for all my real or imagined sins I learned to get my eyes off of my sin and onto Him. He keeps me in His righteousness, not in my own.
After a few decades I finally learned - it really has nothing to do with my behavior and everything to do with His. My behavior changed when I started to follow Him and not myself.

Splaa, I also thought your answer was right on. What I notice about answers, the context is always speaking about the person. "They" "We" are to to do this, or I have to do that, If I don't, then this will happen. The context is of their own works. It happens with almost all answers on all blogs. But you came from another side, from the beginning your context was, the works of the Holy Spirit, and the glory to God. It also didn't take you long to also admit your imperfection.

#2. Splaa: From the start, you acknowledge the working of the Holy Spirit in your life, you said, Since the Holy Spirit is constantly prompting, witnessing and comforting me," shows that your way of thinking is centered around God. And in the end you show how dependent you are in Him, by admitting you are not good enough no matter what, without Christ. So your focus is centered on what God can do, not what you can do.

You can either believe in God or you will go to hell. Since you dont want to go to hell, you will believe in God.

It plays a major role. Since the Holy Spirit is constantly prompting, witnissing and comforting me, I know without a doubt that I am Gods' property. Without this kind of relationship, I would be unable to speak with others about our Sabior with any confidence or power. My enthusiasm does not come from me but from the Spirit with in me. I am certainly not perfected and make many mistakes, but I know that Jesus nailed my mistakes to the cross. Praise Jesus!

Thanks Michelle>>>Rev. 2 and 3. The first danger sign for any believer is to grow cold toward Christ. A church may have great zeal and activity, soundness of doctrine and practice, yet have its first love for Christ on the decline. [It is subtle] Love looks for love, and meticulous care with doctrine and discipline will not take its place.Loss of first love can be so easley followed by evils in doctrine and practice. Christ will have all the believers love or He does not want any of it.

GOD IS LOVE. If unbelievers knew how God pours His love on some of His people. I say some because many of God's people don't experience the romantic side of God.[Humans lust] Lets see if I can explain. It stirs your whole entire being. It is over powering And you feel like a zillion. Breath taking yes it causes you to love God like bursting over. I am telling you humans are so lacking in this department of loving their spouses. You feel as if you may burst open this thing called love. GOD'S LOVE.

Because Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy. He and his minions have deceived humankind, and put doubt and fear in their path. When one doesn't fix their eyes on Jesus, it's very easy to fall prey to condemnation, doubt and fear. Pray for all the saints, that they may be secure in their salvation, and believe the Word of God over the word of this world.

Mima, if you are talking about being certain in the truth that I am saved, then yes I am absolutely, 100% certain that if I was to die right now that I would go to Heaven. I know in whom I have believed and recieved. My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ personally. The Holy Spirit bears witness with my spirit. Praise His Holy name, for He is so worthy to be praised! Amen...
