Stay rooted in the Word, which holds the truth and promises of God. Spend time with God in prayer and praise. Do not get swept away with the things of this world, but keep your mind steadfast on Him, and that which is of him.

Some practical steps would be to be careful as to what you allow yourself to be entertained by, the conversations you involve yourself in and the company you keep. This world offers enough temptations. No sense in calling them out. Example, if alcohol was my weakness, I wouldn't go to bars or clubs, especially with those that would want to drink. It would be foolish!

Just as we feed ourselves physically everyday to nourish our bodies, we must also feed our spiritual inner man daily. This world is full of so much evil, our comfort, our resource for us who are the Lord's people is the word of God. Ephesians 6:11-17, the Armour of God.

I am excited to share what I have discovered about this. After making a commitment to spend time daily studying His word and the life of Christ, this has put Him constantly in my mind. I wake up thinking about Him and the things that I have read!
We can turn off the TV, even cancel cable service (I haven't watched TV once in 4 years) and we can open His word!

Micah 7:15
As in the days of your coming forth from the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things.
The Father will come to rule in the destiny of man and the Church.
Churches have watered down the crucified life, the way of the Cross. God is turning this around. This is the day that all excuses for ignorance of God's Word will be shattered.
True disciples of Christ cannot bypass the Cross.

One can sit under the best teachers and never be a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
Any one who will go on with Jesus Christ will submit to His Way.

The community of unbelievers will arise as one church, rejecting Christ, enthroning the antichrist. The rebellion of the rebellious will be the greatest distinction of "the world".
They will negotiate a universal "quasi-unity" in purpose and unrighteous endeavors.

The universal church will grip those not willing to embrace Jesus Christ and the Cross.
The Bible gives strong warning.
Anything less than a total sell-out to Jesus Christ will end up in shipwreck. The shipwrecked soul will travel through much suffering. Some will not recover and lose their own souls.

For the believer that does not fall for the lie, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Press in and stay faithful to the pure truth of Jesus Christ and His Word.

Good question. I think that sticking with the basics, prayer, praise/worship, the word, will always help us to keep our focus.

All of those things apply to drawing nigh to God & when we draw nigh to Him He draws nigh to us. Take Abraham in Genesis 18 for example. He was bold enough to draw nigh to God & everytime God drew nigh to Him.

Isaiah explains what is going to happen.
I will bring the blind by way they know not, I will lead them in paths that they have not known. I will make darkness light before them and uneven places a plain.

The Holy Spirit confirms the value of counsel coming from governments. The counsel coming from His government goes straight to the heart of the listening believer. To disregard the counsel of Jesus' governement would not be wise in the days that are ahead.

The Church's submission to God's government will release truths in God's Word to the Body of Christ. That submission to God will cause the world to take note.

Jesus is the plumbline. Day by day, hour by hour, let the Holy Spirit be your teacher, to train you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus Christ. For the higher life, the Church is being brought back from the dead.
