Pro wrestlers are dropping like flies.
It's a culture that has its' share of drug problems to deal with the pain of being constantly hurt. Their longevity is young by comparison with the rest of the populations. I don't think it would be worth it.

I'm glad I don't need a doctor for my prescription to be filled.
Jesus Christ fills my heart to overflowing with His goodness and I don't need a doctor, my hope to live is strong.

There is too much wordly stuff that goes on in wrestling shows. As for boxing, in general, it is no more "wrong" then American football or karate.

My son is mesmerized with the WWE. It is just about all he talks about, if he was to talk about God the way he talks about those Wrestlers I would be happy. He has never experienced a Christian role model for even one day in his life. I do all I can, but obviously it isn't working.

Wrestling and boxing are very violent sports. We may watch these bouts but we do have to be careful that we do not endorse violence. I hate to see kids at these events. They do not know how to protect themselves from these type temptations. They begin to feel it is ok to hit someone else for whatever reason(s).It is not ok to hit and beat others. I do watch wrestling on tv. It does gets violent. I turn off to it for a while. I watch boxing matches sometimes, also.

I don't think that any recreation that elevates adrenaline causing a pleasurable experience through violence is good. There are other forms of recreation that are nonviolent and honor God. Pastor Larry

If you don't mind getting hurt, I don't see the harm in it. My husband and I watch UFC fighting/wrestling. God wants us to enjoy life. He doesn't want a bunch of his children looking like they've been eating prunes all the time. A person can enjoy their life and still not be apart of the world.

Once again, we see that we can use something correctly or incorrectly. Competetive sports, in many ways, has become a farce. On the other hand, many professional boxers and wrestlers make a living with their competition and are abiding by the rules set out and are decent, loving , and kind people. To lump the entire sport into the garbage is going overboard. I'd rather see a good boxing match than two Churches competing for sheep.

If you think boxing and wrestling can make you closer to God then you are allowed to do so. If only i may rephrase the verse in 1 Cor. 10:31 So, whether you box or wrestle, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. Let us be careful lest we are taking God's glory in anything we do,

I would have thought it depends on the state of the heart. If I'm trying to rip your head off and inflict harm on you then of course it isn't but if it is say two men who have agreed to a set of rules and are competing to win with no malice in the heart then why not.

should a christian play football? should a christian compete in the olympics? of course. competition is an innate quality we possess. especially men, we strive for competion. it compels us to do our best. one sport is the same as the other unless you are talking about killing kittens.....thats a different sport all to itself.

No. It shows violence & God hates that. However my husband loves wrestling & my boys wrestle, "boys being boys" my mother tells me. I just walk away or sit at the computer. I even stopped watching Americas Funniest home videos. Why should we laugh at someone accidently or purposly hurting themselves?
