My brother a JW for over 30 years, his wife, longer, she left him, he committed suicide today. I cannot help but wonder about this "relegion" that left him so without hope. No one was there for him. I will miss him, I loved him so very much.

It is written that those in Christ will rise during the first resurrection. They will not see the second death.
Then, at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ, all the other dead shall rise and be judged from the Book of Life, according to their works. This is the second resurrection.
Blessed are those that rise in the first resurrection.

I prefer to trust---Irene's description of the Jehovah witness Church.

I am a former Jehovah's Witness who was blessed to have my eyes opened to the truth and become a born-again believer in Christ. I was shunned by my own family as a result.
Yes, JWs are very nice people however, every Christian knows that being a nice person is not what gives you eternal life.
JWs are not true Christians and unless they repent, reject their false teachings and become born-again, they will not be saved.
I will pray that this man's wife and family are freed from this cult and that they will be led to salvation.

Personally, I don't believe that Jesus is going to condemn a man for his lack of complete knowledge of God's Word, especially if he was truely seeking after God with his whole heart. The JW's read the Word of God, but they don't preach totally sound doctrine, but Jesus said,"If they're not against us, then they are for us." Who are we to condemn our brothers and sisters regardless of denomination. Lord knows I don't deserve salvation through our King, Jesus, but I'm saved. We are living in the days of the restoration of all things, and Jesus is about to confront His church, so Let God be the judge of those for whom He died to save! I will pray for the man's wife, that Jesus would be glorified in this situation!

JW are not a cult they are wonderful people. I have had some terrible run in's with "christians". I then spoke to a lady who was JW and she helped me with now questions and with no judging. I wish the family well.

Candice...Yes, we will be praying for his family and for their salvation. It is too late for this man, but we need to be trying to reach all those who are being deceived in cults.

Rebecca what about those that never heard of Jesus or the bible? God will give them a chance when the ressurection occured, As far as Witnesses are concerned or any other "cult" if the individual truly serves Jehovah God then he will see their heart. I donot support their man made doctrine however I know many Jw's ,LDS, Catholics whom do seve the lord whole heartedly. It is between them & GOd where they go, not us.It is up to us to help them show truth, that's it.

Maria -the JWs teach that Jesus Christ is Michael the arch angel.
They teach He is a created being and salvation through works. It is not a christian doctrine it is the same doctrine that produced Adventists and mormons.
Find a good non-denominational protestant church that teaches the grace and encourages you to love the JWs and all God's children but to love God first. (Jesus Christ) alpha and omega
if you would like a bible study on this my penpal is (I promise it is not anti-JW)

JW blieves Jesus as son of God and died for our sins. My sister is a JW. I will pray.

I read some replies. Pray for all 1Ti 2:1-6, do not return evil for evil 1Pet 3:9. God does not desire any to perish.

I have responded to you Candice, however it got lost or something...O.k. I will say it again, when a person is dead, they will never again have a chance to go to Heaven they have made their bed where the worm never dies where there is weeping and nashing of teeth I am not ashamed of the Gospel, I am not going to paint a pretty picture, they had their chance, and rejected it.

Candice, all we can do is pray that this man's family will be saved. I live beside JW, and they are the best neighbors you could ever have. But I know that they do not believe or recieve the truth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will keep this man's family in prayer, and God bless you Candice!

I must agree. For the lost we are to pray for their salvation. After that we pray on other issues.

Dave, you are cold and heartless. You are the one who ought to be ashamed. Love your neighbor as yourself. That's what the word says. Loving them involves praying for them in their times of need. That's our job- to intercede for unbelievers that they may see God's glory and turn from their wiked ways.
How will they ever know true Christianity if all they ever experience from us is hate? Not praying for someone because of their faith is hateful, unkind and unchristlike. Repent

I am not a member of Jehovah Witnesses however, I have studied with them for well over 10 years and I think it is due time that so called Christians quit judging and start learning before speaking. JW do believe in Jesus Christ probably more so than some so called Christians and their faith is more biblically based than most other faiths. Get educated before you decide to be the judge and the jury. The only JUDGE is Jehovah. Look that up in KJV.
---Maria on 10/10/07|
Candice...You are talking false teaching! We are supposed to judge that! There is not another chance after death to repent. If there were, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross for us.
---Susie on 10/10/07|
Not to sound cold and heartless, but I will pray for their salvation and nothing else. God is not obligated to help the lost who reject His Son, Jesus Christ. Where do you get off asking Christians to pray for those in a cult without asking God to open their eyes to His truth and lead them out. You ought to be ashamed!

Tanya - I have a couple of resources that may help you as I am currently doing a bible study with a JW
---Andrea on 10/10/07|
I am also praying. I am currently in a discussion with a JW in hopes that I may plant some seeds of truth. I do believe however that JWs will go to heaven. They believe in the ransom of Jesus Christ for their sins and why would God punish them for being decieved? It is not their fault that they have been taught what is false. God is merciful to all.

Whisper did you forget on judgement day they'll get a chance to turn to God for good or reject him? So just because death occured doesn't mean the person is doomed in hell.It is up to God, last time i checked it wasn't man whom was the judge, but God. I might disagree with what they taught & with what a lot of mainstream Ideas as well, but I donot judge the individuals only the man made doctrines.

Amen whisper.....sweet and nice will not get you to Heaven.Only Christ.
---JIM on 10/10/07|
The sad part is that they are some of the sweetest and nicest people you could meet. I feel so grieved because I know for absolute sure that he is now in sheol and will never have another chance. There is a way that seemeth right to a man but the end there of is destruction. This is why we work so hard on these blogs to change their minds so when they are killed, they will go to heaven.
---Whisper on 10/10/07|
Candice) I am sorry. I will pray as you asked.
