Second Coming of Jesus
Anon--you seem to be missing one key ingredient. It was those that chose not to believe Noahs 120 yrs of preaching that was not aware of the the nearness of the Flood,i.e.Judgement.Although Noah may not have known the day or hour,he certainly knew when it was near.Let us not forget that God told Noah when to enter the Ark.Those that were not aware could have been if they had only believed.Jesus gave us plenty of signs as to when his coming would draw near, those that choose to believe can know.

Matthew 24:36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark, 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Christ could come to day or tomorrow, but I do not believe it could be a million years from now. There is an appointed day and hour he will return, and we can and should know when it is near.I believe it will be in my lifetime, and not very far out.

What you are waiting for has already happened.

Keep in mind that the "religious" people at Jesus' 1st advent murdered Him because they had a false idea of His kingdom.
I see people here saying that the antichrist has to arise first. He already has! And most Christians are worshiping Him by submitting to His authority and rejecting God's authority.

Christ will come again at a time when God the father specifies and not until them. I could be tomorrow or in million of years from now. We are in end times, but end times started after Pentecost and we have all ready been in them for nearly 2000 years now. So really what you need to be doing is tacking the actions that God has to you to do each day and you will be ready when God the Father sends Christ back to us.

There is no doubt in my mind that we are very close to the end of this world. But we have to see the rise of the anti-christ before Christ can come. He is not just going to come one night soon. Some think that Christians may be raptured any day though. :)

I agree with Lorra. If Jesus were coming back after terrible wars, He should have returned in 1945 or shortly after that.

What increasing warfare? Our history is filled with warfare, often brutal and for a long time it constantly rewrote our maps - countries shifting in size and shape or disappearing all together into another country.
Things seem much more stable today. But, what has me worried is that there are ideologies out there that are speading like a cancer and have killed more people through their own dictates than by war.

The true sign of the end is the whole world hearing the good news of the gospel. Not just that Christ died to redeem but the whole of the gospel. Then will the end come. All other signs are referred to birthing pains or the beginnings.

For a complete lists of signs announcing the soon coming of Jesus, turn to Math. 24. I think it would be fair to say that the closer we get to His coming the more frequent "wars and rumors of war" will become and the more futile will be "peace talks"organized by men, and when they think they will have found a
PEACE that is when the end will come!P.
