Are You Condoning Sin

If a person sees another person sinning(men beating his wife) and he fails to do anything to correct the situation. Is he guilty of condoning the sin by not doing something himself to change the situation?

YES! My opinion, that person is sinning if they dont do anything about an innocent person getting hurt.

to Marty -so why don't you tell your pastors that they are sinning bec. the are corrupt, lovers of money & they pervert the gospel for personal gain 2 Cor 2:17. tell them that they sould DENY THEMSELVES! or are you going to defend them by saying I am judging them.

Choosing not to act is still choosing. Wisdom for when and how to confront someone if unsure or scared of what to do pray and seek counsel from the Holy Spirit and help from minister, police or friends or someone who will be able to address the situation. But do not let it linger in the dark for it thrives in the dark but shrivels in the light.

God's house is a house of order there is no justification for abuse it is sin.

The first thing that comes into my mind is the parable of the good samaratin. If you do see someone commiting a sin, physically hurting someone , then I do believe that you yourself could be guilty of sin as well. Actually that is what is wrong with this world today. Too many people do not want to get involved, and sometimes when someone is being physically attacked, I do not understand how anyone could just look the other way. As a Christian I myself could not just stand by and do nothing.

Why don't we talk about YOUR sins, Mima?

How about that?

We have to be careful not to stick our noses in certain things, but by all means, if you see someone abusing anyone, try to stop it or go get help if possible. Abuse is not okay under any circumstances, not a "personal choice" for sure.

Yes. If that person knows this, regardless if this couple are Christians or not, if someone doesn't do anything, like go to the Police, that person is just at fault. and if that woman dies, her blood will be on not only her husband's hands, but the person that didn't do or say anything.

and find out what pleases the Lord.

Eph 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Eph 5:12 For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.

Eph 5:13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible,

Eph 5:14 for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said:

EXPOSE DEEDS of darkness
