Isaiah 54:15: "Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. 16: Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work, and I have created the waster to destroy." |

Isaiah 54:17: "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." God "created the waster to destroy." and Jesus said in Luke 22:36 "and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.", However never did he ordered the sword to be used. |

no, I believe satan is, as we are, reponsible for what satan does. |

Cynthia YES God is responsible for all things created and what they do, including what Satan does. But we (man) being the only ones given Free Will are all responsible for how we (souls) use our Free Will within Gods creation. |

"Free will or predestination?" Bob
We have a FREE WILL, BUT our CHOICES LEADS ONLY to 2 DIFFERENT DESTINY .
IF you choose God and abide in his WILL AND ACCEPT the FREE Gift of Salvation he has given to the world( HIS ONLY SON)then you are PREDISTINED to eternal life with him, IF NOT YOU ARE PREDISTINED to HELL. |

"But are we not "born into sin" because of what Adam and Eve did and thus held responsible for their sins?" DEBBIE
Rom.5:19 For as by ONE man's DISOBIDIENCE MANY WERE MADE SINNERS, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Tell me now, how came that personal Sin of Adam, to be charged upon us? how can his having eat the forbidden Fruit, render us liable to Death and Damnation? |

Isaiah 45.7 says that both good and evil originate with God. See also Romans 8.20 and 11.32. |

No. Why should he be? God created us but it isn't his fault if we mess up. I admit there are people who blame God for alot of their mistakes. Even Satan will make one think it is God's fault for them messing up, when in fact it is Satan who should get the blame, as well as ourselves. |

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)
So, God controls how much Satan can put you through. And He makes "the" way to escape > NO plan B, but we need to do exactly how He leads. He's in control, He needs no plan B (((o: |

I understand God has absolute control of what Satan does, and so we can trust God to take care of us, no matter what happens.
"casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21)
So, with God we can overcome any evil, at all, by doing the good He has us doing. |

Great question! I do not believe God is responsible for what Satan does.
But are we not "born into sin" because of what Adam and Eve did and thus held responsible for their sins? Just a question for conversation. |

Satan would like you to believe He is. |

Cynthia, You have great questions! I am reminded of the story of Job in this instance, Satan went up to God and actually told God that Job follows you because he has everything a person could want, he is blessed, in effect...BUT WOULD HE CONTINUE TRUSTING YOU IF I TOOK IT ALL AWAY FROM HIM?
AND GOD ALLOWED HIM PERMISSION!!!! This really staggers my imagination. |

Free will or predestination?
God allowed satan to make his choices. Angels have wills and emotions, they can choose. Is God responsible, no, because he has a free will. Is God responsible for our choices? No, we have a free will. There are consequences for sin. God will give satan the ultimate punishment for sin.
Should parents be held responsible for bad choices of adult children? Should a parent go to jail because of the adult child's desire to rob banks? |
