As well as most of you know my husband is a Deputy Sheriff. On the election ballet our Deputies put on a ballet to get their salary increased. We needed 60% for it to pass. Right now the Deputies are only making around $17,000-$18,000 a year. As much as they put up with day in and day out, they don't make nearly enough to make ends meet. Well needless to say it didn't pass. We only got 40%. Those people that voted against it, couldn't see paying an extra $20 a year on their taxes so our Deputies can make ends meet. It is a shame that people think more of themselves instead of those who put their lives on the line for each of them. Talk about being selfish.
In other news, I have been kidney stone free since July, 2008. Praise God.

well for me my birthday is this month, and then there is Thanksgiving. Oh the fun of it all when family members and friends get together and not saying the least the drama which family's place to eat when the big day arrives and also with the drama yep good old fun. Go with Jesus everybody.

Our thanskgiving dinner was different this year. We usually have dinner at my Meme's house (mom's mom), but she just came through a surgery and we knew she wouldn't feel like her house being a mess, so we went out to a restaurant for thanksgiving for the 1st time in my life! My aunt had to get there 2 hours ahead of time to get seats! However, I honestly felt a little more family together-ness this year. We went to Meme's house afterward and played games, which we've never done...it was really good.

Trish, glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I did too,my 89 year old Mom went with us to the hunting cabin ,about an hour away, and even though I was sick at my stomach & couldn't eat ,I enjoyed everyone being there. We had five generations present and all together, with all my family, including two greatgrandchildren, there were 23 there. I hope they find out whats giving you sinus trouble. I'm dealing with sinus-ear problems too,no fun, you're in my prayers.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my dad's house. My husband had to work, but he stopped in when he got a chance. I am very, very thankful that I do not have any ill feelings toward anyone. I see some people who are mad at a relative or a friend over something that happened umteen years ago and most of the time they forgot why they are mad. When families do not get along and they let petty stuff get in the way of their relationship it is so childish.

How was everyone's Thanksgiving holiday? My boys and daughter-in-law came home for dinner. Sean stayed at his Dad's for a few days. It was great seeing them all. I am looking forward to seeing my granddaughter at Christmas.

Please pray for me as I have had a sinus infection for three weeks. I am having a CT scan on Monday to see if I have polyps. I have had them in the past, and have even had to have surgery to remove them. That was more painful than my gastric bypass.

Trish,I'm praying for the family. God be with them and give them all strength.

My son's girlfriend's grandmother died. The family is distraught. Family does not know the Lord, neither does the girlfriend. Please pray for Jen and her parents and sisters.

Greetings. I am feeling better than I had earlier this week. I am heading to Manhattan to see my daughter-in-law perform in an off-Broadway play. I am really looking forward to this.

I hope everyone has a blessed weekend.

Cynthia,
I am praying for you as well. I hope you will be able to access the proper medical care you need, with little difficulty. I am sensitive to you about the blood thinner/clot problem, as I have a clotting disorder and must be careful when I have surgery or am traveling.
---Trish9863 on 11/8/07

Cynthia,my prayers will be with you, that God will take you to the right doctor and give you complete restoration free from pain. God Bless

Blessings to everyone, I would ask if everyone would keep me in Prayer. My bladder has dropped outside of my body and I am in a lot of pain as well as bleeding. I am having a lot of trouble finding a Doctor to do reconstructive surgery because I am on a blood thinner because of blood clots. I know that God will not put more on you than you can stand, and it is only by the Grace of God that I can bear this. Thank you everyone, and God Bless...

Darlene,
Thanks for your sweet words. I saw another doctor today and he changed two of my meds. Hopefully, it will kick this infection out completely.

I should not complain. I have a dear friend who has breast cancer, and her husband almost died this summer from blood clots. He is now in the hospital with a bad infection in the incision area of his surgery from the summer.

Trish, there are some of us who seem to have more than their physical share of illness, but know this dear Sister,God really won't allow more on us than we can bear. With more illness also comes the ability to have more faith and trust in our Lord. Right now I have ear problems too and just finished antibiotics last week but this too shall pass. God loves you and will keep you, lean on him,you are in my prayers. So sorry for you. God Bless

I spent the most unbelievable night with Jesus last night. So now I am rather SLUGGISH. I feel so out of touch, I guess. It is strange. The anointing doesn't seem to be, right now. So what to do? I do not know.
---catherine on 11/7/07

Please keep me in your prayers. I have an ear infection, and it seems to be getting worse, not better. I am in a lot of pain, and I am on an antibiotic since Sunday. Also, my hernia is bothering me a lot today. I feel like I am falling apart. :(

Tuesday is Election Day in the United States. Be sure to vote if you are registered. If you are a citizen and not registered, then register so you can vote in the Presidential primary.

This is not intended to be a political discussion, just a friendly reminder to exercise the franchise. Thank God we have the right to vote and do not have other people deciding who will govern us.

The wind is blowing the leaves off the trees here in Michigan. We will have a lot of leaves to clear from the lawn! I still have flower and veggie beds to clean up. Still plenty of kale I can pick.
Our small group has started studying the book 95 Theses on Righteousness by Faith by Morris Venden. An excellent book!
I have extra time off around Thanksgiving. Still not sure how and where to spend it. Maybe visiting my parents or my sons or both.
