Go To Heaven With No Faith
My close friend was engaged to a Quaker who died 2 weeks before their wedding. She was Catholic. She said he's in heaven, but he told us he didn't believe in anything after death. You died and your body went to the grave, no heaven and no hell. Did he go to heaven in spite of his beliefs?

Blessings to all, Brother Trey, you bring out very good spiritual wisdom, and I totally agree with you friend. In my post, I stated that he could not be in Heaven, but as you pointed out, only God can see our heart. Amen brother trey, and thank you for your Godly wisdom. Your salvation is between God and you. Excellant point trey, about the thief on the Cross. God Bless friends!

Unfortunately, there are large number of folks who are sincere in their beliefs, but they are sincerely wrong. The case you give is one of them. Based on the Bible, you can NOT get to heaven without accepting Christ as a personal Saviour. Bottom line: NO, he did not go to heaven in spite of his beliefs of no heaven or hell.

Please do not misunderstand, I believe we as God's people have a hope that lives within us that gives us assurance of heaven. We can rest in the finished work of Christ.
When we are telling others of Christ, we need to tell them that there is a real hell that Christ saved us from.

Sister Donna, (continued)
What I was trying to express is that we should not judge if one goes to hell or not.
The theif on the cross was born again within his last hours here on earth. Can any of us say for sure that this Quaker boy wasn't born again right before he died?
Let me ask you this, "How do you know I am going to heaven?"
How do I know you are going to heaven? Do you see my point? Your salvation is between the Lord and you.

Bible states Hebrews 11:6 without faith it's impossible to please God. We must have faith to believe in God,believe Jesus is His son the redeemer, without it we can't get near God on Earth and certainly won't go to heaven.

trey, so are you saying there's no guidelines in the bible to let a person know if they're going to heaven or hell? So if we're witnessing, we should not mention that the wages of sin is death? Quakers don't believe in after-life, neither heaven nor hell (that's what he said he believed) so strongax, if Quakers are Christians, they would believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that Jesus is God, etc., right?

This question and some of your responses really disturb me.
Salvation is of the Lord. It is God who judges. We are not to judge if one goes to heaven or hell.
Lu 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Lu 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Where is the mercy and grace?

Jessica, I'm sorry to hear about your friends, just a few short weeks ago they were getting married.
I'm so sorry that all of your friends are dropping off like flies.

Since Quakers are Christians, how could he not believe in an afterlife, and still call himself a Quaker?

Well, he got a big surprise when HE died, didn't he?
Let us hope it was a pleasant one.
The Resurrection of Christ teaches us that death isn't fatal. It's NOT the end of the story.

Tell me his name, and when I get there I'll ask around for him. Other than that, I have no way of knowing. God knows his heart, and where he stood with Jesus. It's not always for us to know. Who else need he answer to but God alone?

How could he go to heaven without believing in something after death? If he believed in Jesus then he would have KNOWN that there was life eternal for him.

Blessings Donna, no, not unless he recieved Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. My friend, from what you are saying that he believed, that is not faith in Jesus. We are saved by Grace through faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is a gift from God. Jesus said, no one goes to the Father but by ME.. God Bless!

There is no place in the Bible that says anyone has to believe in heaven or hell in order to get to heaven. It does say believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. If he believed that then it really makes no difference wheteher he had all the heaven and hell and other doctrines correct or not.

Belief is not what "get's you to heaven".
Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God, thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
The devils believe, but they go to hell (Jude 1:6).
It is God given faith that saves (Eph.2:8-9). Also it is not for us to judge. God can save one in the twinkling of an eye, in the last breath one can be born again.
Salvation is of God.

No. Because it takes faith to believe in God and heaven and hell. And even if this person believed in heaven, and had God in his heart, he still isn't in heaven right now. No man has ascended up into heaven.

He was right, when you die you go to Sheol and await resurrection. No one goes to heaven or the lake of fire until after the resurrection.

You have to have use faith to beleive that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he was raised from the dead as well as understand that his blood covers your sins. Then using this faith, you have to ask him to come into your heart and be the lord of your life. It is impossible to get into heaven without faith in who Jesus Christ is and what he did. Joy9988

According to God's Word he will not make it to heaven. She is very misinformed about his belief system and quite possibly, hers as well. The bible tells us quite clearly, without faith it is impossible to please Him(God). The last judgement is in God's hands, though. If he did not believe in Heaven or Hell, he probably did not believe in Jesus. I am not totally familiar with the Quakers and their beliefs.
