kai,

I am very sorry you feel that way. It sounds to me like you have been hurt by some "wolves in sheeps clothing".

All I can tell you is that not all church leaders, (Pastors, etc.) are like what you describe. If they are true men of God, then they are not hypocrites, and they are not in it for the money. Please don't give up. Pray for the Lord to lead you in your search to find a church home. You may need to change denominations.

Bless you,

Really, what about pharisees, experts in the law, & hypocrites? the bible says that these people shut the doors of heaven on men's face, they 'are quick to look for something to accuse.' I never hear pastors talking about the attitude of the pharisees bec. it pharisees are chief priest or pastors!

trey, keep in mind that jesus said take up their ctoss DAILY.most attacks are really the flesh rebelling.people naturally don,t and scripture tells us fall easily to the flesh without jesus.the cares and trials of life as jesus pull many from the message.

kia,

The scriptures tell us that the Lord will deal with false teachers / prophets/
ministers/preachers/pastors (2 Peter 2:1).
Don't worry they will get theirs.

I do want you to know that there are some good elders/preachers out there. I have 2 close friends that ever so often drive for 3 hours to get to a group of about 20 Christians to preach the gospel of Christ. I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but they don't get paid a dime. They do it to serve the Lord.

Bless you,

Michelle,

I've been chastened before of the Lord, not pleasant, but it yields fruit pleasing unto Him.

I could tell you my struggles and burdens but I won't. All that will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution (2 Tim 3:12).

Yesterday when I wrote this blog question, I had had an extremely tough day and night in my home life and work life, but God saw me through it, and his mercy was new this morning (Lam 3:22 & 23).

Bless you,

To---RitaH Satan may wish he had you back, but he is not ignorant he well knows he cannot have you back. However, and here's his plan, he wants you to be discouraged, he desperately wants you to keep your mouth shut, because someone else might believe by your message to them of how they can be saved.

Andrea, Actually, unbelievers do not know that Satan exists. So people do not realize that it is satan that's causeing so much meyhem. And this infuriates me. I hope I spelled that right.

Why would Satan attack the ones that are already on his side?

he does but of course if your moving in the Lord you'll be attacked, just remember

we win!!!!!!!!!!!

does god chastises pastors for their hypocrisy, arrogance & greed, their inability to have compassion, mercy, justice & love of god? Or they just defend the SELF when somebody rebukes them.

#-1-in line with this questio I want to report on a very interesting and often repeated phenomenon. While going about witnessing to different individuals over and over again I see the following scenario take place. A Person hears the message and becomes convicted by the Holy Spirit in their heart. For example, recently a man told me when I had finished witnessing to him and ask him to pray with me he said," yes lets do it( meaning lets pray) so we did".

Blessings Bro. trey, Yes, I agree the closer you get to God,the harder you are attacked. one thing for sure, being attacked is a sure sign that you are a child of God. The devil and his demons reak havoc in a Christian's life. Satan is the accuser of the Brethren. God never promised us a rose garden, so to speak. Jesus told us to count the cost. The devil hates us children of God. Bless you friend!

#-2-So on to the phenomenon, many times after conviction comes up on the person witnessing to a person(a saved person, such as a wife or a real good friend) will discourage the person from praying with me. Such as saying, you don't have to do this now, do you want more time to think about this, would you rather do this with a pastor, and on and on. Then invariably after the person prays with me. The one standing by that was being discouraging is very apologetic. This is demonic interference.

The devil doesn't attack those who are already his. Once saved you are no longer his, but he wants you back. He knows he cannot win but he'll attack and confuse your life as much as you allow him to. He will use others to help him along the way also, so don't be too surprised when family and previous good friends will attack your faith and ridicule you.
---RitaH on 11/16/07

Perhaps, you have mistaken an attack for conviction by the Holy Spirit for a purging of everything that exalts itself against Jesus Christ.
---Michelle on 11/16/07

God cleans up, chastises those He loves.

Men and women who will enter into fiery trials in the days to come, will emerge as vessels that God can use to proclaim the oracles of God to the Church and to the world.
---Michelle on 11/16/07

Oh my goodness! You better beleive it, Spiritual Warfare at its worst combat is a SURE SIGN that you are a major threat to the devil in his ongoing quest to TAKE MORE PEOPLE with him into the lake of eternal fire, This is a spiritual battle, a constant ongoing war that will not end until we have passed on. If this was not happening, I would question your Christianity?
