Tingling Hands At Conversion

In the last few days I've had several people tell me of having tingling hands and or hot hands at the time of their conversion. And so would like to ask this question. Did you experienced heat or tingling hands at your time of conversion?

Blessings to everyone, no I did not experience tingling or hot hands. What I saw was that I was a wretched sinner, heading for hell and needed a Savior. Only the convicting power of the Holy Spirit could have opened my heart to understand the Good news of the Gospel. Now by God's Grace through faith in Jesus Christ am I Heaven born and Heaven bound. God Bless!

I got the knowledge of the tingling hand scenario from Derek Prince, If you care to find out about you can read about it in his book --they shall expel demons--

I was saved as a child of ten but because some young people told me of 'being slain in the spirit'or seeing 'a ball of light'or 'speaking in tongues' I came to believe that I wasn't saved. I was grown before a preacher told me I had been saved but didn't have assurance. Others may have these experiences at conversion but no one should imply that everyone must experience these things. We all are unique.

Jack...You are so right. So many Christians get caught up in the latest charismatic fad. Each persons conversion is as varied as people are different. I have seen very shy, quiet people become extremely bold for the Lord after their salvation. I have also seen some very loud, obnoxious people become meek and mild upon accepting Jesus Christ. Then there are those who go to the altar constantly expecting to be "slain in the spirit" while their lives are full of adultery, lying, hatred, etc.

JACK
YOU ARE RIGHT ON TIME.
Its not hot nor tingling, its FAIHT.

When you receive Jesus by FAITH there is no need of experience.

For FAITH is the substance of things hope for, evidence of things un seen.

When one feels or experence something it is no longer of faith, and without FAITH IT IS IMPOSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD.

In the desert times, when we're all alone with God, and cannot hear His audible Voice through the Holy Spirit, are the times that we must rely completely on our faith in God and His Word to carry us through.
---Michelle on 11/28/07

There will be times when you have no physical experiences. Times in the desert, when you cannot physically hear God's Voice speaking to you every day. You know that He's there, but His Voice is not audible in your spirit as it was in your first years of salvation. The first years are full of experiences and excitement. The first months are the purest, it seems. Every prayer is answered, you are conscious of every word that you utter that is not pleasing to God.

People turn to the occult for experiences and physical evidence, power.
God's power is greater. His ways and thoughts are higher than our ways.

John 20
Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not doubt but believe. 28 Thomas answered him, My Lord and my God! 29 Jesus said to him, Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.

30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name."

God is not dogmatic, people are.
God is not dull, or repetitious. Serving God is very exciting and not without experiences that move you to press in deeper.
Experiences or senses can be moving because we are human. God did not remove our senses when we became one of His children, but we cannot be moved more by our senses than our faith in God alone.

If your hands tingle, it may be poor circulation. Perhaps see a physician?

Before I converted over to Christ. I was in church with my family. The Holy Ghost was on me like bees on honey. The longer I sat there, the harder the seat got which were cushioned. I knew God was dealing with me, my heart was pounding up to my throat, my hands were hot and sweaty. If there was a sign on my forehead it would have read, Yes I'm under conviction. I couldn't sit there no more. I passed my son to my sister and I got up and went to the alter and fell at Jesus' feet. Oh Happy Day.

Sounds to me something that will become a new go-to-Mecca for pop-evangelicals, right between slain in the spirit and the so-called glory experience.

when converted its all in the tensions
but when one ministers to another and has the warm hands can say that is the Holy Spirit at work within you all
---tonmso on 11/26/07

Absolutely not. I sat there a few minutes feeling relief. Then I got up and ran to look for a Bible.
