Because of their blindness to the things of God. Which is called, "Spiritual death." Spiritual death means, they are dead to the Spirit of God. A person is born with a physical body and a soul. He has no Spirit of God to endwell him to the things of God. His only concern is himself, and what he thinks is right. Even when he does something good, he gains, in which he inherits more sin. But that person cannot give a cup of water to a saint in the name of Jesus Christ.

#2. Excuses they give, "I am not ready" or "God is not for me" or one that I heard from my brother-in-law, "I don't want to because if I do, I have to give up drinking" Which is a clear indication that his interest or desires are for himself. What is needed is for the Spirit of God to convict him, and bring him to his knee's, otherwise he will remain the same. And that could come through trials or with his wife living him, who know's but God.

Before, God was dead. Now God is alive. He now lives in me. He was raised from the dead. And I have been raised from the dead. When I was lost, God was dead, now He is alive. Good morning everyone. I hope that you slept well. In any case, have a good week.

People get stuck in a comfort zone with their lives and don't want to change. In order to get salvation that means you have to change."And if your saved CHANGE IS GOOOOD"!

I've always heard I'm just not ready. Or Well if so & so will go, then I will go as well. Or my favorite TV show is on. Or the ceiling will cave in. Bottom line, there is no excuse whatsoever. If a person isn't able to go but would like to go, that is another story. But for a person that is able they have no excuse. They just simply are to lazy to get up and make an effort. Really it boils down to one word. DESIRE. Not everyone has a desire.

it can only be because they have no idea how gooooood God can be and how much fun im really having! really is there anything like being in a spirit filled worship service? the first time your filled with the HS everyone looks like an angel (even the ugly ones) and your so full of love you got to hug everyone. the Bible says today is the day of salvation and to serve the Lord in your youth.

Most people we meet who are not willing to give up themselves to become Christians are still clinging to something that they don't want to give up. Many Sunday Christians are the same way. They want to appear to be good Christians at church, but live like the devil the rest of the week. We have had many people tell us that they don't want to stop partying.

Some are afraid of being ridiculed by their friends and/or family, and do not want to lose them. Some are having fun in their sin, and do not want to give that life up. Some think they are doing just fine on their own, and don't need God. Some think we are all hypocrites, and worse off then they are. Some think religion is a crutch for weak people. Some people are mad at God because things haven't gone their way. Some don't believe in a higher power.

Salvation is not something I can 'put off' because it is one hundred percent God's doing and zero percent my doing. Anyway it is a done deal for the whole human race according to Romans 5:18 and 1 Corinthians 15:28.

Usually it is because they find the whole idea so ridiculous.
God wants us sinless, but makes us so we will sin. Has to punish us (why, if He made us like that?) so sends own Son so that He can be punished instead.
Seems illogical and crazy, unless like us, you beleive it!

You know Cynthia, they sew their wild oats, men prefer sin rather than the light, because their deeds are desparately evil, and who can know it.
