Btw. Kumquat, the football is made out of leather. More later.

Cynthia, blessings. You are really kind. I enjoy the superbowl. One of the teams I like is the Seattle Seahawks, which by the way played a great game today. Another team I like is Ind. Colts. Peyton Manning threw four touchdowns.I did not see the game, just read it. Even when the colts or seahawks lose, I still enjoy watching the game. The plays are interesting.Anyhow, keep having fun and enjoy life. God Bless you my friend, kella

** We are NOT under the ceremonial law Kumquat.**
The Bible itself does NOT distinquish between "moral" and "ceremonial" or other laws. That's a tradition and precept of men.
It knows only ONE law: the Law.
If you don't believe me, read Leviticus 19. Right in the middle of a jumble of "moral" and "ceremonial" and "agricultural" and other laws comes "Keep My decrees!"

We are NOT under the ceremonial law Kumquat. We are under the law of love fulfilled in Messiah on the cross.

A very Godly man in England didn't let his three sons watch TV. He didn't even have one in the house. Yet when his sons went to their friends house, they watched football, soccer, sports events on TV. POINT IS: A little bit of watching sports is not going to spoil the vine. It's when something is done to an extreme it becomes obsessive and wrong. What's wrong with watching a 3 hour football game after church? Then spending the night with the Lord even after going to church the same day?

He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
And don't forget the football is made of pig's hide, and touching the body of a dead pig is an abomination.

I enjoy football season. Unfortunately the integrity of professional sports has declined drasticaly. Basketball refs cheating, steroid usage is rampant, football teams caught cheating and just about every pro athlete has some type of felony record. I don't know that my interest in pro sports will continue into the future.

No but a pastor? whoa! I used to cheer for one in college, BUT NOW I CHEER FOR JESUS!

Blessings to you Kella, yes I enjoy watching football, especially the Superbowl. My team is the San Francisco 49ers. I hope they make it to the Superbowl this year, or at least make it to the playoffs. God Bless friend!

With too many people watching sports becomes an obsession, there are more important things in life. And soap operas and reality TV are just as bad, just don't let sports and TV become your personal Idol.
I try to confine my yearly sports viewing to the end of World Series and a few College Bowl Games on New Years Day. Bot any other activity that comes up will take a priority over even that viewing.
