Prayer is a private thing. Without ceasing means that one should not forget that prayer is your communication with God. But, prayer does no good if you don't abide in Him and keep ALL of the ten commandments. God will not be your God IF you don't show your love. God does NOT shack up! |

Praying without ceasing is being in constant conversation with God, in my humble opinion, and its what I do. Being aware of His presence at all times, giving thanks for everything, blessing everyone, asking for Him to forgive someone that cut you off in highway, glorifying Him for every breath He allows us to take... its endless. Its having His Word constantly in your mind and heart. Its a great feeling to pray and praise Him without ceasing. Its having His Word dwell inside of you. |

If you call yourself a bible-believing christian, than you can't really argue with what the bible says. The bible is very clear when it says tht christians should, "pray without ceasing". |

Smith Wigglesworth said he never prayed more than 15 minutes, and never let 15 minutes go by without praying. There are many different ways to pray. Interceding in the Spirit. Talking to God, pouring out your feelings. Worshipping Him in Spirit and in Truth. Singing songs to Him. Asking him to bless a certain person. Telling Him how much you love Him today. Praising Him. It's continual communion all day long. |

This simply means, don't ever stop, it's just that easy. Since the day you were born you have never stopped breathing, Prayer should be just like breathing. You can pray in your heart. |

I think that 'pray without ceasings' means that we should take ALL things to God first. We humans have a bad habit of consulting and asking for advice and help from just about anyone before, or instead of, asking God. He tells us that He is a present help in time of trouble but many of us always seem to discuss our troubles with mere mortals before we take them to the Living God. I include myself in this observation. |
