The believers in Christ are covered by the righteousness of Christ. God sees no sin in them. For they are not under the law, by under grace. For there will be sinners at the judgment seat of Christ, but they will be the one's who rejected the Lord Jesus Christ and they loved what they did. God knew their names would be there before the foundations of the world for He is Omniscient.
---Mark_V. on 2/1/08

Emcee, the truth in written in Scripture. If the bible was your authority you would know the truth. But it is not. But then again it is your soul at stake. I put my faith and trust in Christ Jesus, who is my Lord and my Savior, for my life, and stand by my conscience. I don't depend on a denomination, images and idols of saints or Mary for my faith, It is only in Christ Jesus.
---Mark_V. on 2/1/08

Thank you Duane that was my point. I wanted to clear it with you because we have people here claiming to be sinless, and infallible. And we have to make sure people understand what our state is in Christ.

I agree with answer no. 4...
We are considered sinless before God through the righteousness of Christ. Before mankind we are all sinners because they see the imperfect flesh that we live in. Jesus never came to save the flesh. Thank the Lord for our new birth of the Spirit. We are forgiven, set free from sin, dead to sin and ALIVE to God forever.
When we have been born again, we are NOT born again sinners, we are born again, saints of God.
---duane on 1/30/08

One extreme of erroneous teaching is that people go to hell for sinning,The other erroneous extreme is "sinless perfection", I have accepted Jesus Christ and He died for my sins ,so I no longer sin or admit my sin ,repent or confess it under the blood.Sin causes ,separation from the Father, and sickness. The only way to eternal separation from God is not to accept Jesus Christ. We show our love for Him by keeping His commandments. "If you love Me keep My commandments" Jesus Christ.

There is no magical incantation that we can say to have our sins forgiven. Christ did that on the cross, we simply have to accept that gift. That is the mystery of grace. do you remember every wrong you have done in your life? Will those forgotten keep you out of heaven? When God judges our sins he does so thru the blood of Christ, showing us purified.

No. You won't have time. Just as if you have sinned and are on a train that crashes or a plane that goes down, if you don't repent then you are damned. You cannot buy indulgences so that you can sin one more time without repentance like cashing in chips in a gambling casino. You should live in a state of grace. As soon as you sin turn from it and repent.

Duane ::If sin had no bearing on our actions then why did God give us 10 Commandments by reiterating "I came not to abolish the law but to uphold It"Gods law will always stand. You are only Righteous if you lead a righteous Life. Duane, when you said that 1 John 9 is not for believers, I have to remind you that the word of God is for believers only. The ungodly do not follow instructions, they do not believe. Second, when Christ imputed His righteousness on you, He didn't remove your old nature. He gave you a new heart. He brought you to life because you were spiritually dead. Now you are alive to Christ and can understand 1 John 9 and follow instructions because you believe in the Word.

#2. Justification involves the forgiveness and remission of sins. If you look at the word "remission" you will notice that when a person has cancer, and it is said, it is in remission, it is shrinking or disappearing. The same is true about our sins. Justification by faith alone is reconciliation with God, and this consist solely in the remission of sins. For if those whom the Lord has reconciled to Himself are estimated by works, they will still prove to be in reality sinners,
---Mark_V. on 1/29/08

#3. while they ought to be pure and free from sin. It is evident therefore that the only way in which those whom God embraces are made righteous is by having their unrighteousness wiped away by the remission of sins, so that this justification may be in one word, the "remission" of sins. And if Christ is our sin bearer, doesn't that mean we are sinners? He would not bear our sins if we were sinless.
---Mark_V. on 1/29/08

#4. Before God you are sinless, only because the righteousness of Christ covers you and your sins when you stand before God in His name. When you stand before God in your name, He would never embrace you and you would be in a different Judgment seat.

If you are in sin, no. You are to be holy and prepared as a bride for the groom, without spot or wrinkle. When he comes, will he find that you have oil in your lamp? will he find faith on earth? when his all-consuming fire comes will you be consumed with the world as in Noah's day, or will not his fire burn you as in Shadrach and Meshach and Abednego?

Some like to quote 1john 1:9 as talking to Christians. Think and read all of says if we confess we have sinned, we will be forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness. Dont christians know they have imputed righteousness? Will we be in and out of righteousness as we confess sin through all our lives?? Total nonsense...
Our foundation is the Cross of Christ. Read all scripture in the light of the Cross.
HE became sin for us, so we could become righteous. This is the true Gospel.
---duane on 1/2/08

I see most in this blog dont believe or are ashamed of the Gospel. Why call yourselves Christian and deny Christ took sin away. Most here believe more in what Adam did to you than what Christ did for you...

Many people here are not preaching a gospel I believe, nor the one that sealed me and yoked me to an intuitive powerful creative Holy Spirit that not only clearly flagged but turned my stomach at all types of sin.
The gospel that was preached to me on that night was OSAS and nothing else has been true to that Spirit of grace.

Confessing our sins is very important. Confessing our sins is important, in order for us to have a clear conscience with God. The forgiveness of our sins, took place back at the cross. And confession of our unconfessed sins will cleanse us of all unrighteousness now. Question for you, does God need to get back up on the cross ever time we confess our latest sin to him? Think about it.
---Mima on 1/1/08

You probably will NOT have a chance to confess and be forgiven because it will happen like lightening from the east to the west. That is pretty quick,so the best thing to do is not to be sinning and that wont happen.
---donald on 12/31/07

Romans 6
1Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?
11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in you. 15Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means
23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
We are saved by faith & grace, and trusting Jesus Christ. We must repent daily of our sins and turn from committing sins.

no, it's to late. once you have been forgiven by Jesus Christ our Saviour you are suppose to flee from sin, in others stay away from it. if you go back into sin after forgiveness you have to repent of your new sins. you can't keep doing that though, after so many times God will turn a deaf ear to your pray

#7 The only people that say, "go ahead and sin all you want" are the same people who deny or have faith in Christ to sustain them. No faith no assurance, no salvation. Make your assurance sure, and speak to the Spirit, ask Him if you are a child of God, if you are not sure, make sure, for the day is coming when you will die, and you won't know where you are going. If you don't hear anything, then you already know what is wrong. Maybe purgatory, another lie.

Ramon: 1 John 3:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" Continual confession of sin is an indication of genuine salvation. While the false teachers John was talking to in the message would not admit their sin, the genuine Christian admitted and forsook it (Ps. 32:3-5, Prov. 28:13). The term "confess" means to say the same thing about sin as God does, to acknowledg His perspective about sin.
---Mark_V. on 12/31/07

#2. Ramon: While v. 7 is from God's perspective, v.9 is from the Christian's perspective. Confession of sin characterizes genuine Christian's and God continually cleanses those who are confessing v. 7. Rather than focusing on confession for every single sin as necessary, John has especially in mind here a settled recognition and acknowledgment that one is a sinner in need of cleansing and forgiveness (Eph. 4:32, Col. 2:13). Verse 10, Make Him a liar"
---Mark_V. on 12/31/07

#3. Ramon: Since God has said that all people are sinners (Ps. 14:3, 51:5, Isa. 53:6, Jer. 17:5,6, Rom. 3:10-19, 23, 6:23), and to deny that fact is to blaspheme God with slander that defames His name. When we do sin, we have an Advocate, John translates this word as "helper" Athough Satan prosecutes believers night and day before the Father due to sin, (Rev. 12:10), Christ's High-Priestly ministry guarantees not only sympathy but also acquittal (Heb. 4:14-16).
---Mark_V. on 12/31/07

#4. Ramon: Sin is an issue while we are in this state of being, but there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ. Verse 2:2, says, "And He Himself is the propiatiation for our sins," The word means "appeasement" or "satisfaction" The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross satisfied the demands of God's holiness for the punishment of sin (Rom. 1:18, 2 Cor. 5:21, Eph. 2:3). Jesus propitiated or satisfied God, (Heb. 2:17, 9:15).

#5. Ramon: "You made a dumb comment by connecting sin with OSAS when you say, go ahead and sin all you want" What you don't understand and maybe cannot see because of your condition, is that no OSAS believer that I know of, delights in sinning. They admit they do sin. When we speak of evidenesses, characterizations, fruits of the Spirit, is for our benefit only, so that others who see us can see the change in the believers. It is not for proving anything to God.
---Mark_V. on 12/31/07

#6. Ramon: God is Omniscient, He does not save someone, and then finds out Satan took them. That would mean He doesn't know what they are going to do. You display a god who is impotent, One that fails, One who has to see your evidence in order to make sure you will go in or not. You need to read your Bible and ask God for the Spirit to give you light, so that you can know who God is first. You see the true believer in the same light as the lost, that is what is called blindness.
---Mark_V. on 12/31/07

Unconfessed sin and no need to repent.

If you believe this false gospel is true, why do you keep writing in, asking others to redeem your marriage/life that is in shambles?

Why do you keep asking others for advice about all of your personal business?

Do you know why you can't get the victory?

I do. Because you don't believe that repenting for unconfessed sin is necessary.
As long as you go on believing that lie, your life will remain in shambles.
---Cindy on 12/30/07

I don't have to research the blogs to know any of the details about your life. Aside from the daily rant, love of attention that you enjoy so much...

If you ever plan to have the victory over this endless drama, you will have to repent for your unconfessed sin.
You need to come clean of everything and if you don't, you will go on reaching out to any human that you think may be able to redeem your life. And that is impossible.

Why would anyone believe our future sins are NOT forgiven?...If that were true, then no sins are forgiven from the Cross over 2000 yrs ago. (we were the future and so were our sins when HE died)
HE died one time for all sin, it is finished.
---duane on 12/29/07

Mima. No Scriptures saids, "all your sins and mine were future to the cross". What it does say is:

"if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins" (Mat 6:14,15) [This is a condition]

"For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die"(Rom 8:13a)

"If [a condition] we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

How can explain Heb 10:26 be explained???
---Michael on 12/29/07

Sin is very important. Jesus died to put it away." Behold the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sins of the world". Many will not except that Scripture, no they go about seeking to establish their own righteous themselves. And that's not good.
---Mima on 12/29/07

If you dont believe Christ came to do away with sin, then you dont believe the Gospel.
There is no Gospel if sin is still imputed unto mankind. That would mean HE never became sin for us and HE died for nothing. The Cross would be meaningless and without power.
Why claim to be Christian and not believe in the work of the Cross?
---duane on 12/29/07

* Where do people get the idea that sin is still imputed against them?
Dont Christians know they have been redeemed?....*

Where do you get the idea that a Christian can sin and will not get judge? Where do you the get the idea that sin is not longer a issue despite Jesus and the Apostles warnings?

Mima *I am teaching another gospel than the one you believe. Also in first John 1:9. My Bible doesn't say must confess our sins, it says if we confess our sins*

You admit that you are teaching another gospel, besides the one the in Scriptures.

Second, the verse says "if". If we do not confess our sins, we will not be forgiven. The Apostle John included himself ("we").

" not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure" (1 Tim 5:22). Paul wrote that if what he eats cause his Christian brother to sin, he would never eat meat [sacrificed to an idol] again, so he wouldn't cause him to sin (1 Cor 8:13). This is the grace teacher himself making sin the issue to the point it can destroy a believer (v.11) through another's example.

This is very different to OSAS who like you believe "sin is not a issue, so have a party and sin all you want".
---Ramon on 12/29/07

I stated in my question "commiting" a sin. Since there are sins of OMISSION also, like failing to help your neighbor, I guess that could not be corrected in a twinkling.

Why would our arch enemy tempt Christians to sin if our future sins are forgiven and could never be imputed to us? In fact, the devil would be wasting his time if no sin could ever be charged agaisnt the believer!

Jesus told us to pray to not be left into temptation (Mt 6:13). Why would the Lord want us to pray daily about such if sin could never be imputed to the believer, anyhow?

We must confess our sins, forgive our brother, or our Lord will not forgive us. This is after we get saved!

Christ died for our sins. Yes that is right! He made a way for humanity to reconciled themselves with God, but God will always hate sin. This is something eternal security believers will not like you hear. Do not use Christ's Cross to justify sin.

* Sin is not imputed against us...Sin will not separate you from God*

You and Mima are teaching another Gospel. Sin has always been a issue, and it will always be. Christ died for our sin, but we must accept His gift and live a holy life. Jesus spoke agaisnt sin, and the Apostle wrote the following:

"A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction" (Gal 6:7-8) He spoke to the saved. You and Mima teach a licensed to sin.
---Ramon on 12/29/07

Hos 9:10, 15. Through sin the whole nation of Israel became vile. God hate sin, and will always punish. What else can sin do the Christian, according to the Bible? Sin can defile (Heb 12:15), corrupt (Jam 3:6), contaminate (Jam 1:27), soil our spiritual clothing (Rev 3:4), enslave us again (2 Peter 2:20-21), and make a person unclean (Mt 15:19,20, Mk 7:21-23).

According to Jesus and Paul, sin will cause spiritual death (Lk 15:221,32, Rom 8:13, Gal 5:19-21,, 6:8).

Jesus is not some weak two dollar post card airport God that can't complete the work he was sent for.
He said to believe and that's where all the eggheads start to get nervous- how much faith is enough? -The sinful question that ruins all attempts to find his mercy.

Many sin are knowingly committed out of lust, many more are committed out of ignorance?

Well have a chance to ask for forgiveness of our sins, and I believe we will (at that time) repent for them all (the ones we were ignorant of) if we have a repenting heart (saved soul).

But I do not believe that if you WILLINGLY (lustfully) disobeyed Gods Word, you would repent of that sin because if you had a heart to repent you would not have knowingly disobeyed?

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Your salvation is as concrete
