Not Every Spirit Is Of God
Many people claim to be Spirit Filled.
The Bible teaches there are many different Spirits in this world, and not every Spirit is of God.
How can we tell what Spirit a person may be filled with?

Jesus ran into this problem. Scenario: Jesus, James, and John are walking along and a situation arises to which James and John ask, "Shall we call fire down from the sky to consume them?" Jesus answers, "You know not what spirit you are of." When someone starts calling for fire from the heavens to consume those who don't agree with them, I know what spirit they are of. |

I beg to differ. A whole sect of scribes and Pharisees missed Him when He showed up. Those so wrapped up in the law that they have fallen from grace will not see Him though He be standing right in front of them. |

The problem with testing the spirit is that people just don't know the real test. Well, HERE IT IS: If anyone, dead or alive, speaks or writes ANYTHING that does not agree with what Jesus taught and written down by His eyewitnesses (John 14:26), then the truth is not in him and he is a liar, as his father, Satan. This is why I know Paul was lead by Satan--his words do not agree with what Jesus taught! (Col.1:24) |

First, you need to make sure **you** are really Spirit-filled...testing reliably, all the time, to make sure you are living in God's Spirit. "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment." (Philippians 1:9) As we grow in God's love, we share in how God knows people and in His discernment of what loving things to do about what we discover. As you get real in love, it gets easier to spot however anyone is not for real. |

You can't go by what someone's done in the past, because we cannot account for them from then till now.
You can't go by one thing you know about a person, maybe that fruit is sour but he has bushels in other places that runneth over.
Unless your knowledge of another is perfect don't judge the fate and faith of others.
Remember, the seed that fell on GOOD GROUND in the parable of the sower yielded 30 60 or 100 times what was sown. Some walk some limp some run but our Lord completes our faith. |

Why is it whenever I try to examine different Spirits by God's Word, I am often told I am being judgemental?

Gods Word is Ye shall know them by their fruits Matt. 7:16.
Read Gal. 5:19-25 it will make the answer to your question Crystal Clear?
Just ask yourself if they are producing fruits of the flesh or of the Spirit, and youll have your answer. |

One of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit is the gift of discerning of spirits. Ask God for it. I believe he gave me this gift along with the gift of intercessory prayer. I weep with those who weep. I mourn with those who mourn and I pray consistently and in intercession for people who ask me to, for the lost, for my family, for the world, for our President. So God may not give you the gift of discerning of spirits if there's no purpose for you to have it. Be Blessed in the gifts you operate in now. |

I CAN tell you that if a person is filled with theHoly Ghost they will show the FRUIT not FRUITSSS of the Spirit.Many people recieve A spirit.Not all are of God.Those that are will show fruit that go with what the bible says.They will want to live holy.They will be led into all truth.They will be seperate from the world.If they are not these things they probably dont have the Spirit of God. |

A liar is not spirit filled.
The Holy Spirit will not reside in the same house with a liar, because they serve the father of all lies.
You cannot serve two masters. You will hate the one or love the other.
The Holy Spirit is not a spirit that would be able to cook the books or cook the blogs, all the while passing out kisses, hugs and leading others. |

Judas was that kind of liar, betraying Jesus with a kiss.
Judas was filled with a spirit, but it was not the Holy Spirit.
He was serving the father of all lies when he betrayed Jesus with a kiss, (((hugs))).
You cannot serve two masters and if you are able to tell lies as a way of life, you are serving the father of all lies. |
