Prayer For Bad Back
Not sure if this is where I post prayer requests, but I have had back trouble for many years and last Sunday my back went out and I have had much pain and difficulty doing anything. I have a family I have to take care of. Please pray for me. Thanks in advance!

Trish my heart goes out to you. That is a very hard pain to deal with, you almost have to quit living a normal life sometimes. I will be praying. Not all back surgeries work,I've had back surgery twice and both made me worse. The pain before the surgery wasn't as widespread as after. God be with you and help you.

ChristiaNet has a prayer room for prayer requests. It's in the mall.
I used to pray for everything that everyone wanted. Sad, but I don't anymore.
One person kept asking for all kinds of conflicting requests and I found out that God was far better at sorting out make believe from real requests. I go to the prayer room now, there are some sincere people with sincere requests in there.

Trisha, I know exactly how you feel. I went through what you are going through. I had cronic back problems for years until I broke my back and then a friend in the Lord, Shane Daley cried out to God for me when he heard what happened. The doc said that I'll never work at my job again but I was back to work painting houses in two weeks! So you just trust in God because He can help you like no man can.
Father we lift up Trisha in Jesus name for you to be glorified in her healing. Thank you Lord!

When my back went out, the doctor prescribed muscle relaxants and cold compresses. (15 min. on, 15 off, and NOT against bare skin is the usual recommendation.) He also recommended sleeping on the floor, which isn't always feasible, but a hard mattress will help. (It provides better resistance when turning over, so that the muscles don't have to work as hard.)
Mind you, that was for strained muscles. I don't know what you'd need to do for spinal/nerve problems.

I am sorry to hear that Trisha. The 2 treatments that I mention are not usually covered here in U.K. by our National Insurance so we have to pay privately too, and they are not cheap. Is your church aware of your need in this - both from your needing prayer and needing money to pay for treatment? I realise that some people find it hard to mention financial needs in church and I don't know whether you feel you could but it is possible they could help. I'll pray about that also.

Sleep with a pillow under your legs if on your back or a pillow between your legs if sleeping on your side. This pulls the pressure off of your lower back as you rest at night.

Heavenly Father- I come to you in prayer for this persons back. I pray your healing hand will touch them and repair what only the great physician can. I pray that upon healing, You will be recognized as the Almightly Healer and whoever this is can use their testimony of healing to bring others to You. In your great and mighty name- Amen

Those chiropractors can be very helpful, Donna. Yes, some of them like lasagne, too.

Thank you for your prayers Rita. I haven't been to get help for this because I don't have insurance and can't afford to make payments.

As a fellow back sufferer of many years I sympathize with you and will certainly pray for you. However, God has given skills to men and women to help such problems and I'd like to ask if you have ever sought the help of either a chiropractor or an osteopath. I've been to both and found them extremely helpful. Neither my own doctor nor hospital doctors have ever given me treatment that has been effective. I hope you will get the help you need very quickly.
