God isn't in all people. The only thing from God in all people is the spirit of life which returns to him when people die. God only inhabits people when they come to Christ, repenting of sins, and accepting Jesus into their hearts as their Lord Romans8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit,if so be the Spirit of God dwell in you.Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ he is none of His. Ephesians3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith,-. God wants fellowship with His family.

The Trinity is the truth. Three in one. Each of them interdependent on the other two. Each with His particular work. God the Creator, Jesus the Son/made man and the Holy Spirit, dependent on God sending him through Jesus. God is the Almighty one. Jesus is a Son, like we can be sons and daughters. We are heirs. The Church is bound together by the Holy Spirit. Those who question this, I can no longer access to answer on appropriate blogs. Sorry, not my fault.

God the Father is in Heaven, and Jesus Christ revealed Himself as God while on earth. He was actually part of the Triune Godhead. After he went to His Father, after the Resurrection, he sent the Holy Spirit from the Father. Anyone can receive the Holy Spirit. He is a person who inhabits you, and by whom you can contact Jesus. He instructs you concerning the truth and many other things. He helps you pray, comforts you, advises you etc. etc.

God is in all people. When you come in contact with someone who is grumpy, be kind to them. You will see God work. You'll feel good, the grump may smile, and you have shown God that you love Him. You are building a relationship with God.

Pray, pray, pray.

It takes time to get to know God. Really God is the one who draws you into a close relationship with Him. God becomes your friend and vice versa. You can go to Him on any aubject. He will speak, talk to you. And you are always tuned in to God and listening to Him. You will laugh with God and vice versa. This world will accuse you of lieing. People will tell you that you are hearing from Satan. As if we do not know God at all. Little warning there about what you can expect. "It is worth it".

Try to imagine calling the President to ask him to lunch so you can be friends... Some people approach God that way. I suggest you get to know God via the Bible. Learn of what He has done for us, who He was, is, and will be. Study Him so you can be at ease in His presence (as much as anyone can be at the feet of one who created EVERYTHING. During this time, you will feel Him reaching out to you. This exchange will grow if you allow it and open your spirit to Him. Beginning the relationship....

A relationship with God begins when you start a dialogue with him. You get to know Him for who He is, not for what He can do for you. You worship Him. You Praise Him. Then you start to study His word because His voice is His word. Then He will begin to show you thing, revelation knowledge, wisdom, He wil give you gifts. He will indwell in you by the power of the Holy Spirit. "Draw nigh to God and God will draw nigh to you." Pray to God and He will answer you.

Once we have received Jesus, we can then begin the journey of knowing God in a personal way. One of the key ingredients in this journey is understanding that the Bible is God's Word and is His revelation of Himself, His promises, His will. The Bible is essentially a love letter written to us from a loving God who created us to know Him intimately. What better way to learn about our Creator than to immerse ourselves in His Word, revealed to us for this very reason?

God wants us to talk to him everyday. He wants us to talk to him like we would our best friend. I talk to God just as I talk to you guys. God wants to be apart of our everyday life. Wherever we go, he wants us to witness to others about him. He wants to be Number 1 in our life. At times that is hard.

#1 In the natural, we get into relationships with others by getting to know them. To get to know them you have to spend time with them, learn of them and who they are, what they believe, what they think. It is the same thing when you want a relationship with Christ. You have to get to know Him and learn how He thinks. The best way to do that is spend time alone with Him in prayer and in the study of His Word.

#2 In John 1:11,14, it tells us that " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." The Word is Christ and Christ is the Word. There is no better way to get to know Jesus and how He thinks than studying His Word.

In your prayer closet, by yourself, ask God for a relationship with him. Whether you're the highest saint or the lowest sinner that prayer request from you will immediately be answered in the affirmative by a loving heavenly Father.

1John 1:9 said when we confess our sin He will forgive us our sin.To know Him we need to read the Scripture and do what it says.(romans2:13)

What does it mean to have a relationship with a friend, a parent, a relative, or someone we love? We spend time with them, and show them we care about them. Well, we do that with God through prayer and Bible reading, and telling Him we love Him through our words and our obedience.

To know Him. Like any relationship with anybody ... to get to know Him.

We have a relationship to God by being related to him throught his son, Jesus. Once we're related to him it's up to us whether or not we have a good relationship or a poor one. Some people work at it and some don't.

There's a key to this, relating to God begins with faith in Jesus Christ and his absolute holiness power and majesty.

As you come to capture a picture of Jesus through his words his message of redemption will be revealed to you, but also conviction through the weight and gravity of his ethical standard.

The message of the gospel is love God and others through Jesus Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit by repentance and faith. Christ's love got him killed, how real is this to you?

Carol
Our worshiping of our Heavenly Father is our relationship with Him. God is a Spirit and He desires us to worship Him in spirit & truth. All that desire to have a relationship with Him must worship Him in spirit & truth (John 4:23-24).

Submit, in order for Him to relate and share with me, howsoever He pleases...submitting openly...not steering for what will get attention in our communication, but see what He brings up. It Is God who initiates the relating and leads.

"I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem,
By the gazelles or by the does of the field,
Do not stir up nor awaken love
Until it pleases." (Song of Solomon 3:5)

...if, by "relationship", you mean actual personal relating.
