Worrying About Salvation

Yesterday in conversation with a strong believer(who has accomplished much with the Lord. When I ask him what he accounted for all of these happenings? He said "When I quit worrying about my salvation, and accepted it as a done deal immediately I saw the Lord work in my life!" Comments?

Stand on God's promises in the Bible, not your feelings. Even if you "feel" unsaved, if you asked Jesus to Save you with a sincere heart and want to live for HIM you are saved not matter what happens afterwards. It a done deal. His promises don't change.

I really liked your comment on 3-4-08.

To some of you,

1jo 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

Sometimes weaker Christians may doubt their salvation, but God never doubts the finished work of his son.

Praise the Lord!

When a person is first saved by the Blood of Jesus, He knows at that instant. If there is ANY DOUBT, then he was not saved. Perhaps, he experienced something else. But, I can assure you it was not salvation by the Blood of Jesus Christ, which is Your only means of escaping HELL, my friend.

It is a BLESSED ASSURANCE, by revelation by the Holy Sprit that josef, Mima and others speak of, and how glorious it is!!! Rejoice in the Lord and praise His Holy name!!!
---Christina on 3/10/08

Did Jesus lie when he claimed that where two or more gather in his name HE is there?

How then did HE (being just a mere man) still walking in his robe of flesh claim such a thing?

Did Santa teach him his secrets, or did he beat up God and take his ATTRIBUTES along with his lunch money?

---Pharisee on 3/10/08

Yes, Ashley, "'God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.'" (John 4:24) And Jesus came to earth IN the flesh > "Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God," we have in 1 John 4:2. So, Jesus was IN the flesh. And "God is love" (in 1 John 4:8 & 16) > God is Family love, made up of three Family Persons, the Father, Son, and Holy man in His image is a family being of father, child, and mother.

"When I quit worrying about my salvation, and accepted it as a done deal immediately I saw the Lord work in my life!" Personally I agree 100% with this, these also "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ," "You have been forgiven, which in actuality, is the true condition of all Christians." Forgiveness and salvation is assured to all who can, by faith unwavering, receive the promise.

You have been forgiven, which in actuality, is the true condition of all Christians. Oh. Thank you Jesus!!!!
---Mima on 3/4/08

Amen, where's the joy of God's love without his forgiveness.
It REALLY doesn't follow and you have a sin counting kill joy with somber countenance, not the vibrant graceful people who hide none of themselves, the contagious ones, those with lamps lit and shining.
Were alive because he loved us, and that's the story.
---Pharisee on 3/4/08

If this statement is true, and applies to you a Christian, and if you are a Christian lady"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for what a man sows, that he will also reap.
---pgfdottie on 3/4/08
your reaping of your sins will take you and everyone else to hell. On the other hand, if it applies only to the lost. You have been forgiven, which in actuality, is the true condition of all Christians. Oh. Thank you Jesus!!!!

You may have described the Blessed Trinity yet you say its a who you working For?I am confused.
---Emcee on 3/4/08

In John 4:24 it says God is a spirit, and all throughout the Bible Jesus says he is God and God is in Him, how so? the person on earth was flesh, necessary for a sacrifice, GOD was inside of Him (because God is a spirit) and obviously God is Holy, so the Holy spirit is God. There is ONE God and to believe in the trinity is a lie used by satan to keep people from the true revalation of who God really is--- ONE.

"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ," (Philippians 1:6)

In prayer for the Philippians, Paul had this assurance. Once God has begun His work of salvation in a person, He changes us out of what can make us turn back from God. He makes us of **His*** "divine nature" (2 Peter 1:4) making us more and more naturally obedient so we can't turn back, I offer.
---Bill_bila5659 on 3/4/08

Chara, not all people have the same understanding of OSAS (once saved, always saved) > if the real Jesus has received me, God has changed my nature so it is natural for me to stay with Him, thanks to being "one spirit with Him" (1 Corinthians 6:17), with His love sharing with me how He is, so I won't turn back from Him > His love makes me so I can't turn back > "as He is, so are we this world." (in 1 John 4:17)
---Bill_bila5659 on 3/4/08

Mima, that's my story too!

when I first became a Christian I was sure that Jesus was mine. Later as I continued my life the weight of sin and conviction made for days that I could never redeem or even call good.

I lost confidence in my salvation and as I poured over the scriptures day after day trying to prove a conditional salvation, I came across the scripture that said we shouldn't believe any new gospel, God snapped me out of my legalistic Pharisaical limp and returned me to a stride.
---Pharisee on 3/4/08

I think we can get decoyed with whether or not we can lose our salvation. We need to personally submit to God and be busy with seeing how He shares with us and has us relating personally with Him. If we're concerned about if we can lose our salvation, maybe we are concerned just about ourselves, instead of caring about others just as much as ourselves. And if we are busy with loving all people and pleasing God, like we need to be, how can we be worrying about how we might lose our salvation?
---Bill_bila5659 on 3/4/08

The once saved always saved mentality scares me, because there are going to be pastors who will find themselves in the pits of hell, because they fell into a false sense of security. Even though Salvation is a gift, you have to remember that some gifts are returned, (by us)God doesn't ask for it back. Gal. 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for what a man sows, that he will also reap.

OSAS is a Calvinistic doctrine. Meditate on Mt 7:21, Phil 2:12, Heb 10:26 onwards. Many of those who have been to visit hell have seen so-called Christians there - for a variety of reasons - unforgiveness, pride, not paying tithes and offerings, not serving God, not honoring the Sabbath, stealing, etc. in addition to the more common sins of the mostly un-believers like murder, alcoholism, unbelief, etc. If you would like to know more about this, do contact me at my ChristiaNet address - Chara8555.

Not to sure what "all these happenings" are but the Lord is constantly working in all things and we all will be able to see hear and understand Gods Will in the world when we start accepting His Word as He promised.
---Shawn.M.T on 3/4/08

I disagree about the whole once saved always saved. firstly, in Ecc. 12:13 the whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His commands. where is the fear if you cant lose it. also the bible says take heed lest ye fall, and those that continue to the end- the same shall be saved (several times)
---ashley on 3/3/08

Well, I had that when I first gor saved. I knew my final destiny was taken care of. What a relief too. And yes, God started working in my life immediately. Praise God.

#3 There are those that read the Word, just like the above Scripture and then continue to confess that salvation is not secure in Christ. That we have the power to pluck ourselves out of the hand of God. Do you have any idea how big, how powerful that hand is? That whole doctine of losing salvation after being saved is foolishness. My God is much more faithful and gracious and merciful than what has been described by those who don't believe in eternal salvation.
---Debbie_Jo on 3/3/08

Elementary, my dear Mr. Watson.

Everything a believer receives is by the working of our faith, not by our works.
It is the working of our faith that enables us to receive salvation through Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Spirit, healing, deliverance, answers to prayers, receive gifts of the Holy Spirit, receive revelation from God's Word. All of these blessings come by faith.

Praise God, the man knows who he is in Christ Jesus, and so should be.

#1 I found this very true myself. Having that security allows you to step out in to the deep water of the Word and trust God for your life in Him. He does not hold you responsible for your salvation. Jesus did it all without any help for any of us. He paid the price and He will keep us securely throughout eternity. Joh 10:27-31: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life,

#2 and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him." Isn't it interesting, that after the Jews heard this straight from the mouth of Jesus, they took up stones to stone Him. Isn't that what is happening today?

First, worry is fear, fear creates doubt, and doubt will disrupt your salvation and your ability to stay in tune with Jesus. So, your friend was set free from worry which created a secure place in Christ that gave him the liberty to move into his giftings and The Father's plan for him.
None of God's children should worry about their personal realtionship with him. Nothing can remove us from HIS hand but fear and doubt.
---Brenda on 3/3/08

I agree with him. Salvation is a done deal in the since of being born-again & redeemed by the blood of Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Ephesians 1:7, Revelation 1:5, Colossians 1:14)

It is being established in righteousness, or simply knowing who you are in Christ & walking in it.
