Deadly Anti-Christ Wound
Concerning the Antichrist Revelation 13:3 says" And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death, and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." What is the nature of this wound? Does "deadly wound" mean he died? What do you think?

So we go from anti-Jewishness, straight over to anti-Islam. What about the Christians? To be exact - what about the RCC? Who was responsible for the last time 6 million Jews were slaughtered? I suppose the Nazis were really Islamists in disguise, signing Vatican Concordiats (or whatever they were). Let's get real. The beheadings were done by Americans. Have you ever heard of the CIA? Why do you think they work in top secrecy? Have you ever heard of black psychological operations which have been around at least for 2,000 years since the Jesuits found the writings of Taoism. |

The seven hill she rides is Rome.
Who is the woman?
I believe its Islam.
The one world religion coming will be a mongrelisation of Cathlocism and Islam.
Europe is besieged by the Muslim meance.
Islam and Cathlocism.
What they don't have in common is capital punishment.
The liberal west is anti capital punishment, but when it is administered, it is usually by hanging. ()

Genesis tells us Christ would bruise the head of the serpent. Daniel says "in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom ...". Christ wounded the serpent with a deadly wound because of Calvary and His ressurrection from the dead. Satan no longer has a monopoly on the power of death nor can he rule the world as he once did before Christ. This is why we had Ceasars, Pharaohs and Babylonian kings virtually unchallenged in their rule. After Christ, the Roman empire crumbled. But when the Church is raptured from the earth, Satan's victor will be in the earth no more and his deadly wound will be healed, and the world again will marvel at their "god" like ruler, like the pharaohs and ceasars of history. |

ill brings up a good point. While the Bible should indeed to taken literally, and many have gotten into trouble by saying it's a guide not meant to be taken literally, we should remember that in terms of prophecy, God uses symbolic language. The book of Revelation is almost all symbolism, as are the prophetic chapters of Daniel. |

Taking the Bible literaly,it says "as if it were wounded or as it were wounded". No where do I find, in the Bible, that the anti-christ will be "shot in the head and be brought back to life" as if to mimic Christ's death and resurection.That is aligorical interpretation. |

I think it's important to remmber that the God uses the word beast to symbolize a king and his kingdom.
Daniel 7:17 "Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth"
Daniel 7:23 "Thus he said: The fourth beast shall be A fourth kingdom on earth, Which shall be different from all other kingdoms, And shall devour the whole earth, Trample it and break it in pieces." |

I know many people believe that the antichrist will suffer a deadly wound that kills him and he raises up again with satan possessing him. Well you think the antichrist, may come in a shroud of peace, but he makes war with the nations. So I think this "deadly wound" is actually a defeat in battle and when people think they have him on the run he comes back. Which is a bit more plausable. And it could be both. Since the antichrist is a man according to Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man, and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. I think if he is literally killed he can't come back. Does satan have the power to raise the dead. I don't know. I suppose it could be possible. I still think it is more of a HUGH defeat in battle than an actual wound. |

Also Rev 13:3 uses the words "as it were" which implies, "like being wounded to death". Being so severely wounded it should have killed. If the antichrist actually does indeed suffer an actual wound. I don't believe he would have died and came back to life. I think it could be a wound so bad that should have very well killed him and doesn't. He comes back quickly. The could be due to the satanic forces round about him. |

Sorry to double post...I just found this verse while studying our topic, Revelation 17:9 "the seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits" (the woman being the whore of babylon). What do you make of that verse? |

Todd1, usually you are right but this time you overlooked something. The wounded head is NOT the whole beast. The beast is a collection of 7 major religions that believe a lie and one of them lost its practice of worship because of a war. Could this beast be what is now being attempted, that is to join all religions together? |

(why do I feel like this question is bait)The beast of Revelation 13 who receives a deadly wound, is the same beast who ruled for 42 months (1260 days, or 1260 prophetic years)...like the Catholic church was in power for 1260 years from 538 when placed in power by Justinian to 1798 when removed from power by Napoleon's army. No the beast didn't die, his deadly wound was healed. |

It is LIKE A time locked puzzle.
Try this: Read thru ch.6-18 and look for these terms: "IT WAS LIKE A..." or "APPEARED AS A___" This is the best description a man of the 1st-century technology could give! So what about the Locusts, They sound very much like heilicopters to me.
How about the lions that spewed out fire and brimstone, sounds like tanks to me.

I don't think the Beast is Rome, for the following reasons:
1) Rome has been around for millenia. The empire has been destroyed, but the city never was.
2) If the Fall of Rome was the "deadly wound", Rome has never remotely returned to its former power (just as Italy has never recovered thee glory of the Roman Empire).
3) If Rome is one of the 7 heads, what are the other 6 that were comparable, and continually alive for the past 2000 years (i.e. NOT mortally wounded)? |

If people waste too much time obsessing over just who the Antichrist will be and where and when he will come (at the expense of other more important issues), they will be able to pinpoint the coming of the Antichrist - but when Christ comes again, it will catch them totally by surprise. |

The beast could be oppression. Oppression keeps getting wounded, then resurrects. Like how in America we had people who suppressed Afros who had been captured by means of murder and kidnapping. The country went along with this, plus the slaughtering of native squaws and kids, in order to get land. Then Nazis slaughtered Jews. Now, oppression is resurrected as the slaughter of America's unborn, a minority group, and leaders do not effectively defend these people. This is against loving all people. |

There are 7 heads that proclaim blasphemy which appears to mean that these are religious 'groups'. The wound was caused by a war (sword) so that would eleminate all but one group. This would mean that they lost their religious practice at that time but will build another temple and restore their practice again. It also means that they control the world, and who is it that controls the money? |

I can see that God smote that beast, but did not kill it. And now...it may be healed, but you know how a major wound, once healed, with its scar and other lingering damage can still be a hindrance. So, the beast will be handicapped by God, however > "God resists the proud" (in James 4:7,
also in 1 Peter 5:5) > God has His way of resisting evil people and Satan, then . . . so while they may be making trouble for us in the trib., things will be harder for them, and not really so hard for us. |
