why? because jesus said we would.because they have persecuted me they will persecute you also.
---tom2 on 5/28/08

The heart of a Christian should be to witness to those of other beliefs...not persecute them.

However anyone calling himself a **CHRISTIAN**,and has perverted the Gospel, should be,after 1 or 2 warnings totally rejected AND EXPOSED. This is Biblical.

If that's what some want to call persecution...well...

But as Christians we are to reject...not kill those who preach another Gospel...and witness to those of other faiths not calling themselves Christians AKA Disciples of Jesus Christ.

Elizabeth, I agree completely that as Christians the Bible teaches us to use the Word for correction. But I see many "Christians" persecuting those with different beliefs rather than correcting them. You know what I mean? Correction should be done in love.

Thin people persecute fat people..rich the poor, and vice versa...and on and on could add to the list ...but are these the SAINTS of God?

2nd Timothy 3.

Those who live Godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted......this is talking about the Saints.

The only way anyone can live Godly in Christ Jesus is to Live *Christ in you*...the Gospel according to the Mystery. The Mystery is Christ in you.....No longer I but Christ in me.

We're not persecuted...but Christ in us is.

Do the research, Alan. Behind the persecution of all those groups you will see the black hand of the RCC. The RCC even get rid of its own, I know this for they tried to do so to me and they got my family member.

Buddhists are persecuted.
Nixon persecuted Communists
Christians (KKK) persecuted Blacks
Hitler persecuted gypsies and Jews
Serbs persecuted Muslims
Protestants persecuted Catholics (and vice versa)

The camp of the saints, are routinely questioned at Vatican City, New Jerusalem, as well as local churches. Per Revelation 20, and the fire word found in god destroys their attempts.

Catherine said: *WOW because the world hates those whom God Loves!!!!!!*

Absolutely.....and *THE WORLD* is made up of those who belong to Satan.....or don't belong to God.(either way...you belong to one or the other).

soooooooo when the WORLD loves you, and millions follow you and call you the greatest this or that...watch out....things haven't changed from the beginning (Cain and Abel)....and will get even worse.
---kathr4453 on 5/27/08

WOW! because the world hates those whom God loves.
---catherine on 5/27/08

Because the Saints are the Body of Christ in this world. If they hated Him, you will be hated too. A world that hates Christ will hate those who belong to Him.
---kathr4453 on 5/27/08

Todd there is a big difference in "Correction" and "Persecution"...Persecution comes from speaking the Truth...Correction is just that, correcting an error... Notice. How many false teachers do you see out there being persecuted? Christians often express their views concerning false teachings, but spend very little time correcting the false teachers and doctrines...To be cont'd.

2Tim.3:16 Every Scripture is God -breathed {given by inspiration} and profitable for instruction, for reproof, and conviction of sin,for correction of error and discipline in obedience,[and] for training in righteousness [in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action},So that the man of God will be complete and proficient, well fitted and throughly equipped for every good work.

Jesus said that we would be Hated.
He was Hated and so will we, because of HIS Message that we bring AND Because we are Not Of This World, So the World heareth us not and have no part W/Us, It's Like Oil & Water!
Only those who are his, Hears him,
And Only of HIS, does he Hear!
Sheep know the Voice of Their Shepherd

Count it a Blessing to SUFFER for Righteousness sake & the Name of Our Lord, Because Even though you maybe spoken Evil of Here on Earth, It's NOT so in Heaven.
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 5/25/08

Who knows but it happens. What does that say about us as Christians when we persecute those who believe differently than we do?
---Todd1 on 5/24/08

Saints are persecuted because they Believe God's Word and they speak the Truth...The devil absolutely hates the truth. And God tells the saints that we are to rejoice when persecuted and God blesses every True Christian that is persecuted...So rejoice when you are persecuted...It feels good.
---Elisabeth on 5/23/08

Jeremiah was persecuted for being faithful...
Persecution is a result of us Living for God and revealing the truth to others.
Persecution is proof that we are walking in the truth...However, there is a difference in persecution and correction. Some Christians when corrected on a subject matter, think that to be persecution...However, that is not persecution...Persecution comes from speaking the truth concerning God's Word..

Since the time of Heylel's jealousy of God's love for Adam and his wife, and of Cain's jealousy of God's love for Abel, the wicked are jealous of the righteous. And the wicked are deluded into thinking that if they persecute God's children, then God will have to look upon them and begin to bless them as he does his own beloved children.
---Eloy on 4/7/08

Heb.12:
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons, for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 4/7/08

God allows His people to suffer for a number of reasons. 1.To grow in faith. 2.To help them abound in love for each other. [Christians] 3.To increase their Steadfastness [patience]. 4.To prepare them for God's Kingdom. 5.To bring glory to Christ.>>>Have a great day everyone.++

"Why are the Saints persecuted by the wicked man?" Because of the influence of "The prince of this world." In the words of Jesus "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before you. The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. But all these things will they do unto your for My names sake. Rejoice and be exceeding glad, for so persecuted they the prophets before you." Look to the author and finisher of your faith.

*IF* it's real persecution, Catherine (o:

When we are shown to be wrong, we likely will get into denial and accusing and bitterness and stubbornly not communicating, even using the psychological terrorism of the "silent treatment" (o:

And I notice how when King Solomon would be wrong, God would arrange for him to be chastened with "the rod of men and the blows of the sons of men," we have in 2 Samuel 7:14.

A saint is eager to be at peace with all, and sees that God has put some of his greatness in all people some use it for evil some good.

There are ways that I am great, and everybody can say that, My question is if you can't see truth, and you refuse to settle your differences with others how can you be a saint? It looks like you'd rather lick your wounds.

There's nothing saintly about self pity especially when it replaces what your supposed to do (2nd greatest command)
---pharisee on 4/2/08

Catherine I haven't even posted a blog but to reply to you since Friday of last week.

Mat 5:23 Then if you offer your gift on the altar, and remember there that your brother has something against you,
Mat 5:24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then coming, offer your gift.

Your worship is making God SICK until this happens saint so snap out of it and start following Christ.

All the saved are Saints. But I have never really felt persecuted, my wife says I'm persecuted, my friends say I'm persecuted, but I don't feel like I'm persecuted.

When Christians do good, evil is always present. When a person does a good, it doesn't talked about. But when a person slips up, it gets thrown in their face. A while back God laid it on my heart to give away my van and the title to a couple in my church that didn't a car. I did and reaped the reward from God. Later on a so called Christian gave away their vehicle in self and bragged about it, and didn't reap a good reward. And sinners, they persecute because they are enemies of God and his children.

I've encountered persecution in spirit-filled Christian churches.

Some persecution is because of "spiritual warefare". The never-ending battle between "good" and "bad". This is expected.

However, I've noticed that some men get offended if your ministry somehow seems to make theirs look small, inferior, etc. I would guess that women encounter the same persecution. In such cases, I think that it is silly. Christians crying over "spilled milk".

Whenever you try to be a good and honest person who does not compromise with evil you will always be persecuted, abused and spoken against. You don't have to be a saint,in the true sense of the word. Just a good person, for instance. People despise people like this because they are made to look at themselves and all of their faults. People would prefer not to be reminded of their failings and shortcomings. Even though we all have them.

Catherine, you have not contacted me to resolve whatever issue with me, I am upset, and I can't help but feel that this question is the result of our previous discord.

That's why I am writing you again, I am not willing to write someone off before I understand them.

I know you must have read my apology by now and understand my view a bit better- So, I'm flabbergasted as to why this question had to appear when all the while we could work things out and return to fellowship.
---pharisee on 4/1/08

First because Jesus said, If they hated me, they will hate and persecute you."
But the REAL reason the Saints are persecuted by wicked men is because the wicked do not want to hear the truth and we represent and speak the truth and the wicked reject the truth. They want to do what THEY want to do, not what God wants them to do.
