Duane D.M, I like your answers. About the Democrates, that was a good one. Second, what God allows. No action in this world comes about without the permission of God. He blinded many people in Scripture. He also changed the minds of those against Israel so that Israel would win the battles even when they were outnumbered. And many times he let them be defeated by the enemy. He was always present, and is present at every event going on in this world. I believe at a later time, China will be involve because they are increasing by a million a day. In order for their survival they will demand oil and I believe no one will be able to stop them. We see many things unfolding before us. Every day is a glorious day waiting for the day of the Lord.

I believe God put it in Saddams heart to attack Kuwait and defy International law & the 17 U.N res. for 10 yrs., So we could keep the war over there and not in our backyards, where they would right be now If we wasn't there.
God sets kingdoms up and tears them down,
Man does'nt have that power!
The Bibles full of Nations that had to find this out the hard way, Will we be one of them?
Yes, of course we will, ANY nation that turns from God will have it's day in court,
and be judged accourdingly, BY his words...

Dan, this is the PROBLEM with you evolutionists, excuse me if you are not one! The thing is that if the 'dinos' (invented by Richard Owen) really existed, they would either all be oil, or all be bones, but we always have this doublespeak. Some are oil and some are bones. Some have four legs, some have the misfortune to have only two legs and hop around, according to Popular Science Magazine (USA) and to have finger bones in their tails, and odd coloured bones that (conti)

somehow got stuck in to fill gaps in the jigsaw, or should it be eyesore. The thing is that you cannot do a jigsaw unless you first have a picture and then cut it up into bits and then reassemble it. Which is what the 'evidence' is. Find, or make bones, and then assemble them in a plausible (to idiots who are devolving) way. I hope this is not considered off topic, because I do wish to answer the lie about dinos.

DDM: long hospital waiting lists in Canada are funded by 11% sales tax, and a 37% income tax. The 80% gas tax is supposed to go for infrastructure. Only the rich go to the United States for actual health care. The rest of us are too busy waiting in line for CANA-DUHS-supposed health care. As I said, the love of money is the root of all evil. The War in Iraq IS about Prophecy!

Haven't you read what God says about Iraq(Ancient Babylon) and it's Future?
A couple O/T Brothers speak of GOD Destroying it, To where that NO man or Beast will ever LIVE their Again,
"Utterly Destroyed"!

God is using this War to set up The Babylonian Empire on Earth Again.
If this IS Gods WILL, Is it still Murder?
I WONDER how many people Saddam & Sons would have Raped & Killed By now?
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 6/3/08

I think that someone who says the Iraq war is about oil is tooooooo conspiracy-minded, and buys into propaganda far too easily, without doing any research or hearing opposing viewpoints.
---Todd1 on 6/2/08

Ian_Alot of that is because of Cana-Duhs Health Care system!
(sorry just some American Humor)

I hear alot of Canadians come to America for Their Health Care needs Because of the LOONNNGGGG waiting time to see a Doc, Is that True?

IF this Wars about OIL, Where's all The Oil?
Russia, China, Germany ect. was getting all the Oil from Saddam, NOT US, AND were STILL NOT getting oil from them either...
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 6/2/08

Well, Gas is over $4.00 a Gal., Diesels over $5.00 a Gal. with these prices & the Devastation in China, Burma & Mid-America and elsewhere It's going to start hitting ALL of US real soon.
And it ain't over, It's just the beginning!
I love it, Everyday IS another day closer to That Glorious Day of the Lord.
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 5/26/08

The love of money is the root of all evil. That's what this war is about. I live in Western Canada and work in the oil related industry.[Largest oil reserves in the world] George Bush isn't stupid enough to go across an ocean for a tank of gas, When there's a superstation north of the border. DDM: we pay over five dollars a gallon now. In Christ\Ian

Vietnam starts construction on 6 billion dollar oil-refinery Sat May 10, 1:52 AM ET

NGHI SON, Vietnam (AFP) - Energy-hungry Vietnam started building its second oil refinery on Saturday, a 6.2 billion dollar complex, in a bid to feed the nation's booming economy, the State Oil company announced.
---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 5/10/08

We are a spoiled nation here in the US pampered with low oil prices because of our high consumption ...most countries in Europe have been paying far more far longer ...other countries don't drive gas guzzeling SUV's to the extent we do here in US ...it's not about the oil ...does it matter? we live in the end of age ...wars and weather conditions will worsen ...Christ told us to expect and not be concerned
---Rhonda on 5/10/08

If the wars about oil,
Why's it $126.00 a barrel?

I'll tell you Why...
People(Dems) won't allow new drilling, Like every other countries doing right now, Columbia just started drilling the 3rd largest deposit ever found.
No new Refineries can be built, Why? Dems.

This is why your going to be paying over $4.00 a Gal. by summers end, If not more.

---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 4/11/08

Before anyone jumps to conclusions the War is about oil, check out the facts. Jan 2008 total was 418,274 barrels. That was acquired from 75 different countries and the Persian Gulf. Iraq supplied only 16,824 barrels in comparison USA received 40,526 from (Old) Mexico. There are many countries which supply more than Iraq. No,No,No,the war wasn't about oil. That is propaganda which many good people have bought into. The only way oil would come into it is keeping the oil away from Al Quida control

Get real. If America wanted oil, they could have taken Kuwait's. Or they could drill in a tiny part of Alaska's bleak wilderness, or off-shore.

IF Saddam & The Russians, China, Germ., France WOULD have HELPED & Complied W/17 U.N Res. PRIOR to AND After 911!
WE WOULD'NT EVEN BE IN IRAQ RIGHT NOW & Saddam Would Still be Alive! How Wonderful!

Germ., China, Russ., Ect. were the ONES who was getting all the OIL, NOT US!
THAT's WHY "THEY" would'nt Help US in the 1st. Place.
WE Don't get our OIL from Iraq, ARE you Kidding?

---Duane_Dudley_Martin on 4/10/08

Aska, bravo! Not only is the world watching us as a nation, God is watching and listening.
Again, bravo!
---deb on 4/10/08

This question always bugs me. Lets see. I want the oil in Iraq so lets go to war with them, Get the inforstructor used to get the oil out destroyed, and then spend millions to rebuild said inforstructor so we can get the oil out. Sucking up to a money and weapons hungry leader so we can just have them ship it to us would be just no fun at all.

Mike: The geo-political climate is always changing. Obviously, the movers & shakers come & go as well. However, governmental/ religious idealogies of nations generally stay the same regardless of who is at the helm.

We only run out of oil if we believe in evolution, see discussion on the "Why God created dino's" blog.

Aska, the Bible says Jesus is God the Son-read for one example Hebrews ch.1.

Does the Koran agree?
---Warwick on 4/8/08

Pharisee,
Sorry, but Allah is God, one in the same. This is stated several times in the Quran. Jesus, peace be upon him, is one of the many prophets who is quoted several times.
Also, "jihad" is about the personal struggle of conscious. When you struggle over whether you should do your homework or play games, thats jihad.
We must also understand, 9/11 had nothing to do with hate of our freedom.

The US has had a very active foreign policy, that has caused a lot of problems in the Middle East. The majority of these is reflected in how the US has coddled Israel, showing them EXTREMELY preferential treatment. While I do not condone the actions of Osama, I understand his reasons.
---Aska on 4/8/08

This war is an ILLEGAL war, by definition of the Geneva Convention. We are in violation of that. Though I do not speak for God, I do not feel that God agrees with what we do. This war, torture, violation of human rights, this needs to stop. Let America be the example of how a country should be. And let Americas Christians be an example of how Christians should be. Let us conduct ourselves with Honour, Dignity, and Grace, as if the world were watching.

to leon - 'oil money in the wrong hands is dangerous'. well who is supplying this so called 'petro dollars'. and during the reagan administration, US supplied saddam with intelligence & closed its eyes when he was gassing the iranians. now US is using that incident as a reason for war
---mike on 4/8/08

Yes. I just remembered President George W. Bush telling the USA nation that it is "addicted" to oil and that this has to stop.

The only question is: how does the USA overcome it's "addiction" to oil?

No, the war in Iraq isn't just about the oil. Oil is power! An oil monopoly is power that can be used as a strategic weapon to manipulate & subjucate (conquer) the will of nations, like the U.S., who heavily depend on oil for economic stability. Oil money, in the wrong hands, can also be used to buy & make an endless supply of military armaments to certainly include WMD. No, it's not just about the oil alone! It's an ancient strategy bent on religious ideological world dominance.
---Leon on 4/5/08

Ted:

Your blog post struck a "raw" nerve in me.

I was so excited to vote for George W. Bush. See our country finally go to war in Iraq and give Saddam Hussein what he deserved for firing missles at Israel. And secure the oil-rich desert for peaceful uses.

I feel at least partly responsible for everyone who has died or been injured over there. I think that we could have managed to secure things without going to war.

Confession of an greedy oil addict.

---Ted on 4/5/08

There is demonstrable proof that North Korea has WMDs (nuclear weapons). There was innuendo but never proof that there were WMDs in Iraq (and the Bush adminstration KNEW that their intelligence about WMDs was flawed going into the war).

There is no oil in North Korea. There is oil in Iraq.

Do the math.

Ted, I agree with some of what you said. We cannot sit back and point our collective finger at GW. I sat glued to the TV when Saddam's statue was being pulled down. I was glad.

Please God, help us to learn from our mistakes.
---deb on 4/4/08

Young and older people being called back 3 and 4 times to fight the war, that's our fault.

I wonder how many have ever prayed a prayer for them in all of these years. I wonder how many have played computer games, kicked back, watched sports without ever giving any of this war a second thought. Out of sight, out of mind, and waiting on the next go-to-guy to have all of the answers for the world's problems.

Everyone that's been wounded by all of this, that's our fault.
---Ted on 4/4/08

Whatever they've been asked to do, we shoulder the responsibility right along with them.
It's not the same old, same old any longer.
We don't repent, open rebuke. That's the way God did things in the Bible, and nothing has changed.
---Ted on 4/4/08

We get the president we deserve.

I believe God looks at the condition of a nation and gives us exactly what we deserve.
If the conditions do not change, we will get more of the same.
If the people do not repent, more of the same will be on the way.
People place all of the blame on one man which is ridiculous.
Whoever is in office is a direct reflection of who and what we are as a nation, as a whole.

Everyone carries on about the decisions of one man. He is representing us and our greed, our lifestyles, quality of life.
He is a direct reflection of what is important to us.

Out of the abundance in our lives, our mouthes speak, demand, feed our needs. We demand oil, and we have it.
We deserve everything we get, don't we?
---Ted on 4/4/08

Elections will not change anything until the hearts of the people change or repent.
If you hang your heart on politics as your source for all goodness, you will disappointed.
God is sovereign and He gives us the president we deserve. He is not to be blamed, we are to shoulder the blame.
People are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
---Ted on 4/4/08

I don't blame GW for this war.
I blame us, every single one of us.
We're in this together. It is our greed, our apathy, our indifference and lack of interest in what interests God.
We get what we deserve. If we do not learn one thing from this war or need for greed, it's going to continue.
We had better repent or we may get something stronger we deserve, an open rebuke from God.
---Ted on 4/4/08

GW is our spokesman but we're the cause for the war about oil.

When I look into the face of GW, I see a reflection of us. He looks beaten down and worn out. The weight of public opinion is heavy, but the Government is not upon his shoulders. God gives us what we deserve and we haven't changed or learned much of anything in about 20 years.

Everyone is already hanging their hat on the next president, hoping they can sit back and hit the cruise button once again.
The same old, same old. Those days are over.

Go find your globe and look at the world. It did fit together at one time. All of the people groups, cultures, children. Don't blame GW for the condition of the world, it's OUR crisis. The new person won't have the answers either. God does.
---Ted on 4/4/08

A better question: "Is the war just?"

Person#1 does something to anger Person#2.
Person#2 does something worse to Person#1.
Person#1 ups the ante.
Person#2 gets #3,#4,and #5 to join in.
Then what?

It doesn't matter if it's a playground spat, or "WE'RE GONNA RUN OUT OF OIL!"
---deb on 4/3/08

I think that the USA government wants companies to get as much of their crude oil as possible from the Middle East. Including Iraq.

This enables the companies to use as little of the USA oil reserves as possible. In effect, saving the USA oil reserves for a more critical time.

I could be wrong, but that is what I've heard. We've all heard so many things that all we can do is "live" and "learn". If I'm wrong, just let me know.
---Augie on 4/3/08

Well I agree on at least one point, we were involved in a war long before we understood it, and I always thought flag burning Arabs were just crazy from the heat!

Their confusion is created by their false god allah. Even my spell check wants to capitalize his unholy name!
Worst, this ferocious monster they think is god is at the head of the fastest growing religion in the world, and this war is fuel on that fire.

(o: Looks like sag and augie have "something" in common. And mima > the article you recommend is dated *April Fool's Day* ?

Hi, Frances > this is an evil world. Ones of Satan's kingdom betray people and use people for money and phony honey, etc. Satan will always have his conspiracy to make the nations weak, through waste, fake love, war, etc. > Isaiah calls you, Satan, "You who weakened the nations!" in Isaiah 14:12. What you are doing is no surprise to God or us.
---Bill_bila5659 on 4/2/08

MOSTLY... "NO". Why? Well let me give you a few reasons.
1.) Oil would be cheaper than it is now (about 1/3rd less.)
2.)Because "JIHAD" was declared against the US AND Israel-FIRST!
3.) When "JIHAD" is declared, it is required to be finished until there are no combatants left to fight.
4.) Do I Believe that this is a totally just war, no, but we are stuck in it, this people (listed in the Gettysburg Address) will perish from the earth!
---timoth8496 on 4/2/08

2nd Reply...
What happens to this country without oil, or any other country either, as far as that goes?
Answer... It is reduced in Power, Influence, and even in it's ability to protect itself. The Jihadist know this, and that is why THEY are so quick to include oil into the equation. Rr-Vietnam? Until the soviets took it, the USSR had no "warm-water" harbors, or major fields of oil to draw from that they could call their own.

3rd reply...
No... the Jihadist struck U.S. interests and KILLED hundreds of U.S. Citizens FOUR TIMES before we began to hit back in Iraq, and elsewhere.
More importantly, We NEED to support the war effort, because the loser of a jihad-war is...DEAD! In Vietnam, we were one month away from winning due to the elimination of 3/4ths of the NVA,and Linebacker-2. BUT... they heard about the protests in the US against the war and they decided to hang on a few more weeks, and won by default!
---timoth8496 on 4/2/08

I believe it was about

Starting the 'War on Terror'
Taking away our freedoms
Taking control of the mass media
Electing a pro- New World Order candidate (McCain, Obama and Clinton)
Taking over Jerusalem for the Catholic Church eventually
Bringing the Jews to Israel so that they will be slaughtered in the End Times - having been blamed for all the international terror.
Oil and Money

(Not necessarily that order).
---frances008 on 4/1/08

Oil is part of the reasons for staying in Iraq for the decades it is going to require. It is imperative to the economy of the United States and Western Europe to prevent a fundamentalist Islamic regime or Al Qaeda from gaining control of OPEC. If Iraq gets int the wrong hands it could can destabilise all oil producing nations in the Middle East
---notlaw99 on 4/1/08

Yes.

Recognize these names?

Exxon, Mobil, Texaco, Chevron, Royal Dutch Shell, Gulf, British Petroleum.

These are the Seven Sisters or BIG OIL companies.

The war in Iraq is to secure the oil fields in the Middle East. If there are other reasons for the war, none of them are as important as making sure that the Seven Sisters have access to oil.

Many people already know that President George Bush, and Vice President Dick Cheney are wealthy oil men. Surprised?

Yes.

I believe that President Bush was concerned about who controls the world's oil supplies.

The simple fact is this: there isn't any alternative fuel that could TOTALLY replace oil.

Crude oil requires oil for refining. Ethanol requires oil for production. And so on.

The September 11, 2001 hijackers were from Saudi Arabi and we attacked Iraq instead. Why? Because Saudi Arabi provides the USA, and the world, with more oil than Iraq.
