did their enemies see them raised from the dead and ascend into heaven as the rest of the prophecy reads,
Rev. 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. You see, this scripture says point blank that THE 2 witnesses will be seen by their enemies coming back to life and ascending into heaven, this part did not happen, therefore this is not that prophecy fulfilled, show me 1 prophecy in the bible that was considered fulfilled when only part of the prophecy happened. |

Remember when Saddam released the oil in
the Persian Gulf? I watched as millions of
fish and birds floated on the black goo,
dead or dying. John is trying to describe
the effects of a modern day oil slick.

Many things happen that look like they could be fulfilling prophecy, several hundred years ago a volcano erupted so massive that is made the sun look black as sackloth and the moon as blood, but we know this was not the 6th seal. one last time michael, did these two men raise from the dead after the 3 1/2 days and ascend into heaven were every one could see? |

2500 yrs. ago the Angel that revealed those things to him ,said , Close them up because they would'nt be understood until the End Times.
Not UNTIL Israel became a Nation in 1948, Could Parts of His Scripture EVEN be Excepted, Because there was NO Israel.

Michael ... The fulfilments to prophecies have been going on for 2000 years now. And for 2000 years now people have been expectig the end to come shortly.
But you like so many others are trying to second-guess God. It will happen when he wants it to happen, and we are told it will be unexpected
The important things are to know it could be this next second, and to live as if it will be.

is going to take place and the news event
take place, I am amazed at how many

You assume that there is a limit to the number of prophets and that there is a rapture:) What we do know is that these prophets will appear before the second comming and great and glorious day of the Lord. The rest is speculation:) Keep your focus on the important things like a relationship with Jesus.:) |

11:4 These witnesses are the two olive trees and the two lampstands which stand before the Lord of the earth. So look up psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet ( word is a lamp being the key ) meaning two lampstands are his words old/new testament. Eph 4:11, 1Corin 12 speaks of governments, gifts ...Christ will give two men on earth these positions
Zech 4:14 ...These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth
Rev 11:3 ...Christ says He will give power unto my two witnesses
The witnesses preach throughout the tribulation
Christ doesnt return until AFTER the tribulation (1Corin 15:52, 1Thess 4:16) to gather those who flee tribulation and live through and resurrect the dead |

These two witnesses will be Enoch and Elijah, because they are the only two that has not seen death. And everyone is appointed to die once. Can't be Moses cause he already died. These will be prophets from God. They will be to sent to earth to give warnings to the people who don't belong to God. God will give them power to cause famine, sickness and to shut heaven up. |

#1 We can get an idea of who these two are when we look at the return of the Jews from the Babylonian captivity. Zerubbabel was made governor in Jerusalem, and Joshua was made high priest. Haggai and Zechariah were the prophets or Divine witnesses, at that particular time. This is just as it will be when God begins His work of bringing His people out of the 2000+ years of blindness and captivity. "The prince of the host" - Dan. 8:11, corresponds with Zerubbabel. |

Carla5754, These two come in about the middle of the Tribulation. One may be Moses and one maybe Elijah or Elisha. They preach the Gospel. They are murdered by stoning and lay in the streets for 3 days. Then their dead bodies resurrect and they ascend into heaven. |
