" In the book of Ezekiel, 10:18 says the glory of the Lord departed from the temple, what makes you think Holy Spirit will dwells in a church that does not preach the Truth and/or keep doing evil? Read Ezekiel please people! "

Jesus said the Holy Spirit would abide with us forever.

John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever,

The Holy Spirit doesn't dwell in churches,he dwells in bodies of born again believers and we are the Temple now 1Cor 3:16 Know ye not ye are the Temple of God,and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you.1 Cor6:19 know ye not that your body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you-. If there is no move of the Holy Spirit in churches it's because the people aren't "stirring up the gifts within them". They don't live in the empowerment of the Holy Ghost, pray, praise or worship God enough.

There is evil spirit and there is holy spirit, if an evil spirit can possessed a person and leaves a person, it is the same for holy spirit on a person and leave a person.

This is the time when love has left the world. Sure, the Spirit of God will be poured out, but few will receive Him. The last days will be like the days of Noah and of Lot. If that is so, then love is no where to be found except the few.

I believe the Holy Spirit is drawing away from the churches and into peoples' hearts and homes. You might say he was kind of regrouping his forces. The churches have been hijacked by those with political agendas to do with the New World Order and a One World Religion to fit the New World Order.

Since the Holy Spirit was here in the beginning,Gen1:2,it makes sense He'll be here til the end. However,Genesis 6:3 tells us that God's Spirit will not always strive with man(strive-to devote serious effort or energy)Psalms 51:11..do not take your Holy Spirit from me. We forget the Holy Spirit is not From here. If we offend Him, He may leave us but not the earth or the Church.(Body of Christ-not a building)

I don't go to church but every day I study the Bible as much as I can. This time can be spent in training for when we are needed. When the world needs people to speak the Truth. Study of the world situation should also be done. If we do not know about the battlefield, how can we be good warriors.

**
the Holy Spirit, wants to do many things, but is being denied.
**

The Holy Spirit is a gift given to Christians who repent and are baptized - it LIVES within a Christian to guide a Christian ...Gods Holy Spirit is not denied in any Christian who prays to God seeking more of His Holy Spirit ...it's an everyday walk not a once a week church "show"

No, but I do believe that He is being ignored by many churches today. For example, some charismatic churches don't speak in tongues during the service or prophesy. Many just simply have a routine that they go by. He, the Holy Spirit, wants to do many things, but is being denied.

Jesus says, "You are the salt of the earth", in Matthew 5:13. The Holy Spirit is IN us, making us God's salt. So, while the Holy Spirit is IN us, He is not going anywhere (o: And through us He spreads the effect of God's own love, like how a dissolving salt crystal spreads its saltiness to effect *everything* around it in a stew. Yes, we are in a stew in this evil world, and things can get pretty hot > but *you can't overcook salt* (o:

Well, this is not true. The Person of the Holy Spirit only lives in God's people. As long as the church remains so shall the holy spirit remain. But when the church is taken out of this world you do not want to be left behind in it. This I can assure you. God's people are treated as second class people little does the world realize when we are gone all hell with break out. You had better treat us nicer.

Reply to your question, Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, it only dwells in places where there is truth because God himself is the Truth. If a church has not been preaching the Truth, the Holy Spirit will not dwell in that church which also means God will not dwell in/with that church and the people. However if the church preaches nothing but the Truth and do it, without adding or subtracting from what the Bible teaches, the Holy Spirit will dwell in/with them.

ShawnMT~I do not believe the Holy Spirit is leaving either. Thank you very much for your kind approach:-).

"Does anyone believe the holy spirit is drawing away from the earth in these days?"

Personally I do not. As long as there are believers on earth the Holy Spirit will be here, and there will always be believers on earth. "The LORD is that Spirit" and His promise to His Church is that He would never leave us nor forsake us. "Lo I am with you, even until the end of the world."
---joseph on 4/30/08

I don't think the Holy Spirit is very pleased with the idea of withdrawing from this earth, since He came here because God loves us and wants to save people . . . not retreat, when only God has what it takes to change us. How well have *we* done to will and do what He wants? If He uses us as an excuse to retreat - - - well, I don't think *He* is going to flee. So, NO (o:

"Therefore submit to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)

Many people have been taken away from the church by deceiving spirits of New Age, Kabala, and Scientology. Within the church are false religions. The World Council of Churches is given over to the Satanic New World Order. The Emergent Church is also false. What are we left with. Individuals within the denominations and outside denominational influence who adhere to the Bible.

2. Individuals who adhere to the New Testament but not the Old Testament may also be included. These believing people probably watch very little television, and guard their minds carefully. The Holy Spirit is still around, but the attacks are coming. Satan won't be happy unless he can kill off every believing Christian in the world. Just watch this space.

The Holy Spirit is given to those who repent and are baptized in the name of Christ ...the Holy Spirit is a GIFT to guide Christians in their walk to overcome sin ...the earth, a building, or any other object or place cannot repent of anything ...the earth does not have Gods Holy Spirit
---Rhonda on 4/30/08

Kella3336
The Holy Spirit is not drawing away from the world. The world is drawing away from it.

Despite all of this, the Lord is continuously drawing His loving creation toward Him so we may be sealed with the Holy Spirit (Jeremiah 31:3). The seal of the Holy Spirit is God's solemn promise of our eternal inheritance, until the day of redemption (Ephesians1:13-14).

So, the Holy Spirit is always here with us in the earth, even unto the end of the world (Matt.28:20)!

When Jesus left this earth He sent the Holy Spirit. When He comes back in the air for His church, the Holy Spirit will leave with us. The Holy Spirit is now preparing the "church" for Jesus' return.

No the Holy Spirit/Ghost isn't in the Earth, he is in God's people. As long as people are repenting of sin and coming to Christ the HS still has a job to do on Earth. I believe there are many denominations who have drawn away from the full power and manifestation of the HS therefore they deny the HS the freedom to do all God intends for HS to do,empowerment and move through His people.
---Darlene_1 on 4/30/08

NO He is not. Jesus said the Holy Spirit comes to convict the world of Sin and He leads us and guides us into all truth. If He goes, where would that leave Christians who have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit? Would he just take off and leave them high and dry? What many churches believe this? They are cults or teaching false doctrine.
---donna8365 on 4/30/08

I just heard another false doctrine being preached on National TV on Sunday Morning. This man said the bible says to "Walk by the Spirit" but the bible doesn't tell us how. Oh really? That's a lie. God would NEVEr tell a believer to Walk by His Spirit and not tell us how. It's easy, read the word and you'll find out HOW. Amen?
---donna8365 on 4/30/08

No, the Holy Spirit is being poured out like never before, it is people's hearts and minds that are turning away from the calling of the Holy Spirit. And many churches are helping to turn people away by the teachings that focus on Prosperity,(self-centeredness) and what God can do for you. This is a false teaching and many are being lead astray by it. Only when the Rapture takes place will the Holy Spirit be taken out of the Earth.

The topic question is best answered by saying it is just the opposite of the percieved disengagement to mankind.
The meek shall inherit the earth, not the arrogant beast.
From this many will become increasingly responsive to spirit leading.
However, many will fail to respond .
Todays conditions do indicate a rise in poor decisions and lack of spiritual leading.
We do live on a world where it seems there is a low success and the book of life has few names.

As long as people grow in their manifestation of the fruits of the Spirit, I do not see that it would fully meaningful to say the Holy Spirit is withdrawing. A dynamic and deepening love in practice is key.
