No, but if you find out please tell me. I been sleep walking all my life. I got it from my Father. I still sleep walk and talk. One doctor said sleep walking or talking comes from a split state of a dream. Your body acts out your dream. But,I never left the house. For some reason, when I open the door, I woke up. Also, I could run and jump over items in my house while asleep without hurting myself. My dad speaks only in Spanish when he sleep talks. (Spanish was his firet langauge) |

I sleep-walked once that I recall as a grade schooler, about 9 or 10 years of age, went outside and climbed into the back seat of my mother's cousin's car. I have never repeated this that I know of, and I suppose it would be appropriate to say God protected me in this as I was never treated for it and got into worse things before God brought me to Himself. |

Once when my sister walked in her sleep, she went outside and fell down the stairs. You need some professional help or you could get hurt. Allow Jesus to guide you to choose a specialist. |

Rosalie, Jesus may tell you to go and see a doctor or pastor. Jesus may be talking through those who advice you to see a doctor, or a pastor. Don't rely on direct intervention, God works in various ways. If you do not get help then you have only yourself to blame if you have a serious accident. |

Why not ask all those professionals out there. They seem to know everything. |

I would definitely seek the advice of a pastor. Also a doctor. It is dangerous. You have my thoughts and prayers. |

I also recommend a doctor's visit and a sleep study. A sleep specialist can help you understand what happens in your brain while you sleep. |

Rosalie, you are in my prayers. |

I think this is spiritual because I've seen snakes and other strange animals around me in my room while Im sleep walking. I have even poured water all over myself in the night while asleep and I sprint through the house. I also so if anyone has spare prayer please pray that His will maybe done in this area of my life what ever it may be. |

Sleepwalking (also called somnambulism) is more commonly experienced in people with high levels of stress, anxiety or psychological factors and in people with genetic factors (family history) or sometimes a combination of both. My sister walked in her sleep as a child, but not into her teens. Sleep disorder clinics can moniter at what stage of sleep (usually REM) and make suggestions of ways to help the person. |

Stay awake. Seriously, stay awake and change your sleeping patterns, it's related to narcolepsy. |

See a doctor who specializes in sleep disorders. Some Dr's believe that this is an emotional problem. One of my son's college room mates was entering the Air Force as a pilot, he had passed all his tests and was ready! However when he went for the tough training it was discovered that he was a sleepwalker, poor guy was sent home! |

You could try tying your ankles together with a long sleeve shirt before you go to bed. Pushpins on the floor? Triptwire or motion sensor tied to the trigger of an air horn? Archaic solutions are all I got, and I am of course joking... Try removong the door handle, that'll be a jewel.
I'd rather do those than take meds if they have something for that. I really don't know anything about this, and I hope someone can help...anybody? |
