It is good that you believe, but are you saved? Being a believer and being a Christian are two different things. Just because your a believer, that doesn't make you a Christian. Believing is in the right direction, but it takes more than belief. I know sinners that believe in God and knows what God can do and has seen what God can do and has done, but yet they are a sinner. Seriously though, are you saved by the blood of Jesus Christ?

If you steer your little sailboat
straight against the wind,
it will blow you dead in the water
and the waves will flip you
up and down and all around,
while the wind is flapping your sails.

But if we obey the flow of
the sweet and gentle breeze,
this will ease us to safe harbor,
plus the waves of this life's troubles
will help to push us there.

chuckie-1) Start talking to God about your desire to get to know Him. Ask God to show you everything HE wants to. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you in special ways. 2)Find scriptures that tell you who you are in Christ Jesus, memorize them and believe them. 3)Read the Gospel of John first, then the others. Then read all of the New Testament. 4)Fellowship with other believers. 5)Your goal now is to become more like Jesus and let the Love of God flow through you to others. Ask God for a few Gifts of the Holy Spirit and make sure you find someone and tell them, "I need the Baptism of the Holy Spirit."

One of my downfalls after I thought I had come to Christ was how fast I was to criticize others. I guess the twelve Apostles thought they had such status and were so better than all the rest, since they had been chosen by Jesus, and "they had disputed among themselves who would be the greatest." (in Mark 9:34)

We aren't Christians in order to be superior to others, but to become able with God to be Family with each other as brothers and sisters, and minister with hope of each enemy becoming Family in God's love with us > love "hopes all things" (in 1 Corinthians 13:7).

And each person is unique, each has feelings. No one is a clone. God is not about copy-cat conforming, but loving with *His* creativity.

Chuck, By the grace of our Lord I will pray for you. May you be strengthened in his word and be filled by His Grace with his overflowing spirit. The Holy spirit will teach you and lead you and each day you will grwo toeards the stature of Christ. May the Father , son and Holy Spirit bless you.

Now what... Hold fast to the faith you have in your redemption and the finished work of the cross.

Stay close to God in prayer, you'll learn to hear his voice by speaking with him through his Spirit. The things he's most eager to confirm to you are his grace(setting you free) and his faithfulness through his abiding presence in the Holy Spirit. This brings joy and increasing faith.

The grand purpose of our salvation is the restoration of our relationship to God, stay true to his purpose for your life and you'll find him near and concerned for you in Yes- even the smallest of things.

Take time to reflect daily on what he is and has done for you, and give thanks, this helps weed out sinful attitudes in our lives.

Read your bible. Read your bible. Read your bible. Read your bible. oh ya, did i say read your bible. Satan will attack you at every angle so read your bible and pray and be ready to stand fast when these attacks come. Satan will do anything to make you think that you made a mistake. don't believe it. Reading your bible is the best way to have the knowledge and the power to stand fast. Tell all the people you know. Celebrate with other believers. PRAY PRAY PRAY.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you. Pray to the Holy Spirit. Try and obey the commandments. Immediately tell everyone, be baptized, and bring others into the family of God. Congratulations by the way. (I hope you are sincere, not just playing around with us.)

Heb. 12
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons, for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure, but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

Beware of the cults. Whereas you will always be a Christian if you are truly born by His Spirit, they will attempt to snare you and make you totally fruitless.

Usually these cults are those who claim to have the truth and that all other denominations are corrupted or wrong in their doctrine. And the emphasis on their beliefs reflects the extra biblical writings of their founder.

Read 1 Corinthians chapter 13 (the LOVE chapter). Know it well (God is LOVE). Be transformed into a new creation by the renewal of your MIND (the heart is led by the MIND, Romans 12:2).

Carry a flame in your heart for God (Jesus is God in entirety, God all inclusive, Colossians 2:9).

Even though Pilate wasn't a philosopher, he said "What is truth?" (referring to humanity's rejection of OBJECTIVE truth), who was Pilate asking?? (John 14:6), 2 Thessalonians 2:10, "AND SO BE SAVED").

Like Paul, I also decided to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified. I also made the personal decision to let my goodness be of my own freewill (Philemon verse 14, Philemon has only one chapter).

Adam and Eve ate of the tree of conscience. We need to learn how to handle the knowledge of good and evil (Hebrews 5:14) and learn Godly PRINCIPLES in order to be fed "solid food" instead of only the "milk" of God's word.

Many modern bible versions have corrupted God's truth in trying to be politically correct (especially the NEW King James Version NKJV, it also has on the cover THREE points and SIX lines, more sinister than "politically correct"). The god of confusion (satan) keeps these kind of things from being noticed, but no version is completely discrepancy free.

Learn well the introductory doctrine of Jesus (Hebrews 6:1), it is the "WORD OF TRUTH" (2 Timothy 2:15, Ephesians 1:13, John 14:6), it is good for TRAINING (2 Timothy 3:16). But after learning that, be prepared to move on in your spiritual growth and develop a closer, more intimate relationship/devotion to God that He can also have a personal relationship with you (His spirit "yearns jealously" (James 4:5). Then, you will develop eyes to see and ears to hear and will be able to learn the "sword of the spirit" (Ephesians 6:17) and receive "living" WATER baptism (Acts 1:5, 11:16, John 7:38, Revelation 7:16) and have your conscience cleansed also (Hebrews 9:14).

As soon as I was saved I sat for a few minutes. Have you done that? Then I ran to look for a Bible. I figured since I am saved now, and I could feel God's presence, I should go and look for a Bible. Thank goodness I found one. If I hadn't, I do believe in my brand new birth I would've had a heart-attack. Had to obey God right away, understand?

Unbelievers should learn to fear not having God in their lives (it is the BEGINNING of wisdom), but once we come to know Him, our love of Him should be made PERFECT (1 John 4:18, Isaiah 29:13) and we should have no more room in us for fear (Mark 12:30).

There is a message in the bible for the carnal mind, and another message for the spiritual mind who truly LOVES The Lord (instead of only believing in Him, 1 Corinthians 13:13). You will find whichever you are looking for.

Eveyone on earth should realize that God is the 'MASTER' OF CREATION, but we should know God for all of His loving kindness as "Abba Father" (dear Father, Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6), NOT master/taskmaster, and be a "FRIEND" (James 2:23).
---more_excellent_way on 7/12/08

Above all, LOVE God more than life itself, more than TEXT, more than ALL KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM and you will have a "more excellent" devotion/relationship like Job (the book of Job was not about faith, it was a historically true LOVE STORY).

The "strong delusion" is not a future event, it has been around all throughout history because the 'doctrines of the heart' ('imaginations of the heart' Ezekiel 14:4-8) have been the stumbling block.

Nothing in scripture is happenstance (random occurence). All events happened as they were suposed to, and every word was recorde that we would someday be able to learn from it someday (The Lord's wise counsel).

Trust in the LORD with all your heart (focus and desires in life) lean not to your own understanding, but I all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct you. Be soft and pliable in His hands, commit your ways to Him, trust in Him also and He will bring His desire and will for you to pass. Acknowledge His presence in your life and rest in that presence. It is He who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure. His work is within you, through His Divine influence upon your heart. Enabling and inspiring you to rely on, adhere to, depend on and trust in the one sent. Jesus is LORD, by His grace, through His faith, you are saved. Rest, be still and know He is the God of your salvation. His yoke is easy, His burden light.

First of all...WAY TO GO!!! Welcome.
Now it's time to study the word of God. Live it according to the way it was written. Strive everyday to overcome your sins. We all sin...ALL of us. We must repent on a daily basis and have a relationship with Christ Jesus through daily prayer with him. Their are no special words to say just lovingly and respectfully talk to him as you would anyone else. The heart is more important to him then any pretty words you can speak. Surround yourself with Spirit filled Christ loving Christians. Minister to the lost. People think to do this you have to know the Word through and through but this is not so. Just tell them what Jesus has done for you. Give your testimony.
