Soon, Jerusalem will be the center of all the universes there are.
When the New Jerusalem comes down outta heaven and rests itself upon this earth God will dwell with man for ever & ever(Praise God)
The Harvest is about to ripen and be gathered, the bride is about to make herself ready for her Lord.
The prophets & others longed to see the days in which we live in to come to pass.
Ready your minds your bodies & your spirits for the day of the Lord and watch & pray always that you may be found worthy to escape the things to come...

I'm so excited!!!

---gracynluv, You are correct. God knows these people, and he called them stiff necked.

Mima, God had nothing NICE to say about Jerusalem in Ezekiel Chapter 5. Read the WHOLE CHAPTER!

In FACT he said they are more wicked then the Gentile, and he will destroy them in front of all the other nations!

Thus saith the Lord God: This is Jerusalem, I have set her in the midst of the nations,

she(JERUSALEM) hath DESPISED MY JUDGEMENTS , so as to be MORE WICKED than the Gentiles,

for they have cast off my judgments, and have not walked in my commandments.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God: : Behold I come against thee, and I myself will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the Gentiles.

The answer is yes. And here is the Scripture Ezekiel 5:5," Thus saith the Lord GOD, This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the MIDST of the nations and countries that are round about her."

Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with ETERNAL foundations, a city designed and BUILT BY God.(Heb 11:10)

NOT by HUMAN hands, people need to stop thinking the physical Jerusalem is God temple. Believers in Christ are God's temple!

This world along with Jerusalem and it's temple WILL pass away.

Rev21:1-2Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and earth had disappeared. ..And I saw the holy city, the NEW JERUSALEM, coming down from God out of heaven LIKE A BRIDE beautifully dressed for her husband. Rev 21:1-2..THE NEW JERUSALEM is the BRIDE, THE CHURCH! not a physical temple, IT'S ALL SPIRITUAL, we are God's temple, God does NOT live in a temple made of human hands, he lives IN us.

Most definitely is in God's eyes. David made Jerusalem the religious capital of Israel.Jerusalem was established politically and religiously as the capital city of the Israelite nation. Jerusalem was referred to as "the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there [Deut. 12:5,11,14,18,21].

Is this a geography question? If so, I haven't a good answer. However, in reference to the verses Mima cites, God instructs His chosen people (Israel then, body of Christ now) to be lights unto the nations. This may be the reason the verses point out Jerusalem's physical location in the midst of pagan nations. In the passage in Ezekiel, God pronounces judgment on His people, who were SUPPOSED to be lights unto the nations around them BUT were NOT fulfilling that duty.

old guy: Do you mean to say hell is physically located in the center of the earth???

God chose Eden for man to begin, then the mountains of Ararat. But the city Jerusalem is not named until after Noah and his three sons began to multiply and build cities, and it was first called, Shalem. lit.Hb:"YHWH God also planted a garden in Eden from the beginning, and there he set man whom he had formed. And YHWH God made to spring out of the earth, all manner trees beautiful to the sight and pleasant to eat, and the tree of life in the middle of the garden: and also the tree of knowing of good and bad. And the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat, the seventeenth day of the seventh month. And Melchizedek king of Shalem brought forward bread and wine. And he the priest of the most highest God," Genesis 2:8,9+ 8:4+ 14:18.

Nancy, you make a lot of sense!

There are some very interesting medieval maps showing Jerusalem as the center of the (known) world. But if hell is in the center of the earth, then hell is the center of the world. A scary thought!

A want to apologize for the poor wording of this question. I meant to ask about the physical location of Jerusalem in the world.
Anyway, here is the answer from Ezekiel 5:5
" Thus saith the Lord GOD, This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her."

Humans tend to forget how much creation there actually is. To quote the Animaniacs "It's a great big universe, and we're all really puny."

There are uncountable numbers of galaxies in the universe, each with billions of stars in them. And our own planet is just a small rocky orb, around a small star, in a back-water arm of a middling-sized galaxy in a small galactic cluster.

So, I'd have to say, while I'm sure the Creator keeps an eye out for good old Earth, I think it'd be quite egotistical to assume any part of it, even Jerusalem, was the center of the world in His eyes. (The center of His plans, at times, perhaps, but not the center of the world.)

Amen Bobby,
Jesus Christ's Kingdom is not of this world.

How easily do people forget that "The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display,Nor will people say, Look! Here ! or, See, there! For behold,
the kingdom of God IS WITHIN YOU AND AMONG YOU. Luke 17:20-21.

By the way IT IS THE Antichrist WHO will allow the Jews to rebuild their Temple in Jerusalem. Antichrist will seek to accomplish what they EXPECT their messiah "SHOULD DO", which is a physical deliverance from their physical enemies. He will sit in the Temple in Jerusalem and falsely declare himself to be God.2 Thes 2:1-4

2000 years ago, Jesus said this:
But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, pretenders (hypocrites)! For YOU SHUT the Kingdom of heaven IN MEN'S FACES,for you NEITHER enter yourselves, nor do you ALLOW those who are ABOUT TO GO IN to do so Matt23:13

Notice 2000 years ago he is seriously criticizing the Pharisees, who would NOT enter the Kingdom then, nor would they allow those who WERE about to enter the Kingdom of Heaven THEN to enter. So the Kingdom of Heaven WAS AVAILABLE THEN, 2000 years ago, BUT like today's MINISTERS, the Pharisees were blocking the way, CLUELESS as to HOW to enter. He is clearly not talking about physical death, he is criticizing LIVE people for NOT entering while ALIVE and blocking others from entering.

Don't think so. Jesus said His kingdom is NOT of this world.

Jesus said to her, Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know, we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

John 4:21-24(NKJV)
