Does Truth Save Anyone

In second Thessalonians 2:10 we find this statement,"because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." If they believed the truth, would they be saved? Also what truth is spoken up here?

The gift of the truth is given to those who earnestly seek it out all the time. It is step by step, year by year. Then one day the Holy Spirit reveals a large portion of truth to you, and if you can take it, you are made stronger to do his work in the world. What is the truth? Well, for most of your life you have been lied to about everything (almost). The truth that you hear in the Bible is demoted to second rank by priests and pastors who are really there to spread the political official illuminati version of every story. It is not their fault mostly, because they are brainwashed.

'I am the way, the truth,..... John 14.6....'Sanctify them through the truth: Thy word is truth.' John 17.17. 'In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1.1) 'And the Word was made flesh ...(Jesus)John 1.14.
'Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free???" Loving the truth is to love God with all your heart and soul....and to love ones neighbor as oneself. To receive the Truth is to receive God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. One must know them through personal relationship by way of studying the Word and understanding its meaning by way of the Holy Spirit as teacher.

The Word "Truth" in 2 Thessalonians 2:10 is called "Aletheia" means the unveiled reality lying at the basis of and agreeing with an appearance, the manifested, or the veritable essence of matter, the reality pertaining to an appearance. In this case "the Truth is Jesus Christ" This people did not receive the unveiling love of Christ Himself," so they could be saved. They had been decieved for verse 10 explains. The spirit of lawlessness is already at work yet the man who fully embodies that spirit has not come yet.

The word "BUT" is the most often misused word in the English language. It is most often misused to NEGATE THE TRUTH. When someone says "Yes, BUT..." or "No, BUT...", the word "BUT" is being used to disregard the truth of a "Yes" or "No" answer (let your yes be yes and your no be no).

So if you'd rather not accept or admit the truth of an answer/issue (you'd rather ARGUE it), then you are not only unjust and deceptive to others, but you are also subject to confusion and deception (as you do unto others, you are also doing unto yourself).

(the only proper use of the word "BUT" is to point out irrelevance).

To Whosoever has an ear to hear?

God's covenant promise of salvation in the messiah is the TRUTH that is spoken of here and we are to believe in it through faith.

The unrigheousness in them that perish, spoken of in 2Thes.2:10 is their inability to gain a loving heart through faith for the TRUTH of salvation in God's Word.

Jesus said he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die (John 11:25-26).....and it is in Christ Jesus our messiah, where we find this TRUTH, and LIFE, and the WAY to the eteranal salvation of God's covenant promises.

I did this one already, however, I believed I could do better so here it is one more time. Hope everyone is having a fair day>>>An erroneous mind and vicious life often go together and help forward one another. God will punish men for their unbelief, and for their dislike of the truth and love to sin and wickedness. He sometimes withdraws His grace from such sinners.>>>In studying scriptures I find that as in Paul's day, there will be followers on both sides, the Antichrist will have his followers too. They are called in these scriptures, them that perish, meaning "the lost" or those who are perishing.>> [The gospel was not welcome. also, the truth is the word of God].

the love of the truth in this sense means applying it to your inner being, and life.heartfelt love of the truth, life changung love of the truth.there is only one truth and it resides within God,his son,and the holy spirit.

Understanding the real truth of God requires this paradigm shift in thinking that He is the parent of humanity. God sent His son so that we could return to Him in the afterlife, and He left His spirit so that this world could be blessed by the students of His spirit.

He didn't abandon everyone from the ancient cultures, He rescued many repentant prisoners (captives, Ephesians 4:8)...

"Therefore it is said, "When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men."

The truth of God is that everyone on earth has salvation available (Luke 3:6), but not everyone will have the guarantee (Ephesians 1:14).

An enthusiasm/passion to know and speak truth is VERY important.

God's love for us is a parental love. Children LOVE the parent. Even when the child is disciplined, the child does not surrender "LOVE". It is only when the child develops a bad attitude toward the parent (whether from abuse or rebelliousness) that the child will resent discipline enough to also have FEAR of the parent (fear prevents perfect love).

Because of the rigors of life in this world, very often, the child will be rebellious declaring independence from the parents, but no matter what set of circumstances we are given in this world ("varied grace", 1 Peter 4:10), we should never become rebellious.

Mark 10:15
"whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."

The god of confusion has always distorted humanity's thinking in very insidious ways and taught us to settle for 'NEAR truth' instead of the complete objective about reality.

God should not be thought of in a partisan manner as a 'religion' to be complied with, or a leader to have an allegiance to. He is the God of unseen reality, He is the part of true reality that deserves praise, the reality of the spirit world.

It is not only the truth about God that we should love, it is truth itself.

We should not only love truth as WISDOM, but we should be passionate to SPEAK and communicate truth in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS (let your yes be yes and your no be no).

We should take care that what we say is not vague or ambiguous. We should endeavor that there can be no misunderstanding about what we say. If we do that, our reward will be the reciprocation (we will be able to UNDERSTAND genuine truth).

We should love truth itself.

Does the scripture say...
"because they refused to love the truth OF GOD ONLY" (the truth is either YES OR NO).

This entire chapter references the deception of 'The' antichrist and the time of his coming. The fact that the deceiver come first as the spurious messiah is the truth that would have saved the deceived from their apostasy and the embarrassment they will experience when the true Christ returns, had they received that truth.

yes,its truth, believeing truth that brings us to repentence.

I notice how it says they did not receive the *love* of the truth. It's not just getting the knowledge and believing it is so, but how we are *leaving* what is wrong and getting into the *love meaning* of the scriptures, rather than just justifying and defending beliefs and practices.

There is the love application for each verse (o: How each verse can help me to love better (o:

It is only by your own personal choice to be concerned with TRUTH that you will be able to learn the "WORD OF GOD" (sword of the spirit, Ephesians 6:17) and come to know the "DEPTHS of God (1 Corinthians 2:10).

The person at the well (John chapter 4) knew the text of the scriptures and was waiting for Messiah, but she wanted SOMETHING MORE than the text provided. She became excited/interested at Jesus's mention of "living water" (John 7:38, Revelation 7:16, Acts 1:5). This water that flowed from Christ's side along with His blood at the cross remains a mystery to most of Christianity because...

.....THEY REFUSED TO LOVE TRUTH (OBJECTIVE truth) and are satisfied with mere faith, not LOVE/passion for truth.

Mima
The love of God's true Word is the truth that is being spoken of here and if we receive God's Word into our hearts, we'll be moved to repent & accept Christ as our Lord and savior, saving our soul.

John baptized with H2O, but if we truly have a peaceful and just spirit, we have the "living water" baptism of God's spirit and have our conscience cleansed also (Hebrews 9:14).

We have to drink of God's spirit so that we "neither thirst" instead of simply EAT of the bread of life. Everyone on earth has salvation available to them (Luke 3:6), but not all have the guarantee...

"He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee".

Ephesians 1:14
"which is the guarantee".

We must learn a "more excellent" devotion/relationship (1 Corinthians 12:31) that is based on the GREATEST of these" (1 Corinthians 13:13).

By OBEYING TEXT, we become good 'text obeyers' and good 'text students' and good 'compliers' (the same as the Pharisees), but we are told...
Matthew 5:20
"For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven".

I am not saying that we should disregard "text", but if we LIVE BY the "text", spiritually, we shall DIE by the "text", but if we LIVE BY the spirit (and "walk by the spirit", Galatians 5:16), then we will have life (eternal life).

An erroneous mind and vicious life often go together and help forward one another. God will punish men for their unbelief, and for their hatred of the gospel of Jesus Christ,[which does not mean just the New but the Old testament as well], and their love to sin and love of their wickedness. Now, pay attention everyone: All you people who preaches and those of you who beleves that God is only a God of love, think again---Sometimes God will withdraw His grace from such sinners, and leave you alone to your lusts and to your icky sins.

Nothing in scripture is happenstance (of random occurence). All of the events of scripture happened as God meant them to, and every word that was recorded was recorded so that it would all be available for each of us to learn from someday (if we choose to LEARN).

Pilate was not a philosopher, but he asked Jesus "What is truth?" (John 18:38, meaning that human nature has little use of objective truth, and prefers SUBJECTIVE/biased truth instead).

At the time, that question was never answered, but in John 14:6, we see who was being asked. We READ the "word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15, Ephesians 1:13), it is the introductory doctrine of Jesus (Hebrews 6:1).
